  3. that adapter and spacer combo will correct the offset to +1mm, which will work fine. that will give you 4" of backspace (including the .5" for the lip this time), about the same as what I've got on my car (in fact, these would be pretty close to working without the extra spacer-I'd try them first before you buy those). The +38mm may work better without the 7mm spacers though, so you might think about that since I know you said cost was an object on a previous thread. What wheels did you decide to use?
  4. It's not that hard to block off the egr on a regular manifold if those non-egr castings are hard to come by. I actually cut the egr boss off of mine, and blocked it off with some epoxy. I haven't installed my megasquirt yet, so I can't really say if it's going to hold up or not, but I'll let you know when I find out.
  5. So you're planning to stay L-series then? What about paint, are you going to do what you have, but with a real spray gun? I'm leaning away from pearl white, and more towards the Scion color of green that's called camoflage. Or that neat pearl olive that came on some late 90's nissan cars. I might get a sand colored camo stripe, kind of like what I've got now, but I"m not sure...Maybe I'll draw it out. I just got a copy of Photoshop 7.0, so maybe I'll be able to figure that out enough to be useful.

  7. Yeah, don't get me wrong, if I had the time/money, the camo zzzap! would be long gone. I'm all for stepping up to the world of perfect bodywork and candy paint, I'm just not in a position to do it right now. So camo it is. And might as well have fun with it, right?

I've got to respect the polish, It's just not in my nature to keep stuff clean on that level...Don't worry, we won't hold it against you.   9. I was thinking maybe the second one had something to do with strengthening the mustache bar, but since it has it's own bolts, I'm not so sure. I've never seen anything like it before though. I'm wondering if it's not something like what www.baddogparts.com sells as a single jacking point?

  17. well, they arent' ferraris, but I've got these momo quasars I'll sell ya: (all that white stuff is lithium grease from mounting the tires...) And if you didn't like the bodywork, why'd you buy it? Was it the last 280zx in town or somethng? they're just giving those things away around here...
  18. If it runs the same with the MAF and without, I would start there. Or pull the valve cover and check your cam sprocket bolt, it's not unheard of for them to come loose. If you are using an NA MAF with a turbo, it's possible that it gave up on you sometime during that install. You're positive there isn't an air leak either on the manifold somewhere, or in that hose to the throttle body? Did you check it, or just assume that since it was pretty new it couldn't be bad?

  23. Must have been Chuck Norris driving, I heard he was the first to do a 900 and still hit the corner without crashing (and the was while bringing his kid to school in the morning, imagine if it was on a race track!).
  24. Mk2mike it's time to update the wheel situation buddy! Dherde26, good looking car, did it just come back from paint? Why no fuel door or hood vents? I'd be curious how this car looks in the daytime.
  25. I was reading in last month's Retro Car magazine about a guy that has two v-8 conversions. He was saying most of the real TR-8's ended up in the US market and they are hard to come by in the UK, so poeple do the rover swap a lot.
