  1. I'm using the small NPR IC. Sorry I don't have beter pics.
  2. Nice . How does the M30 engine compare to the M50 as far as power potential, cost, and reliability? I'd love to swap a turbo BMW straight 6 in a E30.
  3. Jeff - I'll be staying by the airport but unfortunately I won't have a lot of time free time. I'm flying in on wednesday night, interviewing thursday morning, then flying out again in the afternoon. How is the area east of Orlando near UCF?
  4. Ferrari used wheel covers on their F1 cars last year and now I think all the teams are using them. The front wheel covers extract the hot air and direct it under the car which is supposed to help accelerate the airflow under the car thus creating more downforce and better stability.
  5. I'll be in Orlando next week for an interview and if everything goes well I may be relocating there. Someone school me on what Orlando is like. What areas are good, what areas to avoid, etc. I've read a little bit about the area but I would like to here from people who actually live there. How does living in Orlando compare to the Space Coast? Also is there anything worth checking out or eating while I'm there. I'll only be there for 1 night.
  6. Just more food for thought http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZqc6VK_ti4
  7. Not sure if this is sparkys but heres one mounted to a PDK bar.
  8. I live a few blocks from the police station and I have never had any trouble from my 4 point harness. I hate the way mine are mounted. They are bolted to where the factory shoulder belt bolts to so the angle is bad. I know I'm taking a risk driving like that so fixing that is a priority. I thought about mounting it to a PDK bar but It would be safer to weld in a harness bar. I'll probably switch to a Schroth auto control to because it can get to be a PITA to be straped down in a street car.
  9. This weekend was one of the very few times I routed for the pats. Loved LT crying under his helmet . Go G-men. They won't have to worry about any asterik when they lose the one that counts. The patriots penalties should have been stiffer (suspensions, post season ban, etc.) Look at what the NCAA does. They're just the NFL's "choosen" franchise.
  10. Anyone see this new BMW engine. I don't know how it sounds or how high it revs but it has exhaust on the valley side for the top mounted turbos, direct injection, and water to air ICs.
  11. Looks like red is winning 3 to 1. Maybe the solution for me is to own 2 Zs . J/K, the car will be staying all red for now.
  12. Yeah, a carbon fiber hood would work but I'm trying to keep the expense to a minimum more black hood pics
  13. Thanks for everyones input. I think I agree with Cygnusx1. The car needs at least ZGs to pull it off. I would have probably added a black BRE style wing but no plans for ZGs untill I can get wider wheels. I'll try polishing again. I've been using carnauba wax but I think I'm gonna try a synthetic to see if it keeps the spots away longer.
  14. My car is basically a 20 footer right now. It's gonna need to be repainted but that's not gonna happen for a while. There are a lot of water spots on the car. It's worst on the hood and the roof. If I buff them out they come back after two washes and I don't want to have to use rubbing compound, polish, and wax after every two washes. The paint is pretty old and I've already wetsanded and buffed the car so it's getting pretty thin. The air dam has a lot of chips that need to be touched up too. So my question is, should I spray paint the hood and airdam black or should I leave it as is for now. Another option is to get some touch up paint in a spray can from an auto paint store but that would cost a little more and may not match exactly. I'm on the fence about the black hood and airdam look. Current Proposed
  15. Nice DD. Just out of curiosity, why the switch from the 330?
  16. Local hydraulic hose shop. They were cheaper than the tuning shops and only a few blocks from me. The guy gave me a discount because he liked the Z
  17. All I need in the morning is my coffee and a Big-Phil video off topic but you know you're bigtime when people start impersonating you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PFjMNhS_4c
  18. Last week I saw subframe connectors that crossed over in a X on an old mustang and immediately thought it might be benificial on a Z. The subaru one looks like it needs an additional diagnal across the tranny tunnel.
  19. Good to hear you're getting good use out of it. How the project coming along? Are you planning on getting a g-nose? I just sold mine a week ago Here's another link to stay on topic http://www.japanesenostalgiccar.com/index.cgi?section=events
