  1. Here's my first hybridZ I drove around as a project. Front fender is dented from when my wheel flew of on the freeway from hand tight lugnuts It used to blow white smoke from tranny fluid leaking onto the exhaust too. I was gonna rattle can it flat black but I never got around to it.
  2. The $350 dollar one would make a good project if the rust isn't too bad. You can sell the rods and head off the car for close to $300.
  3. I would love for the prices of early Z's to continue to go up. Gives me one more reason to hold on to mine. I didn't buy my Z as an investment but appreciation never hurts. It's kinda like a rolling savings account . In a perfect Z world for me, series one values would go through the roof and '72 and up stay affordable so I could build another hybridZ. But yeah, that guy won't get 10k
  4. They will definitely rub without coilovers. I had 15x7 +15 RS8s before with 225/50 yokohama AVS ES100s and with no spacers, they rubbed the front spring perch and barely cleared the rear. Should be fine with spacers.
  5. Favorite Lamborghini ever. I want to be Jay Kay. Besides a red Miura, he has an Enzo, F40, DB5 and more.
  6. How about Rips RB30 build http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=124555
  7. Nice. 2jz-gte swap in the works? edit: oops, didn't see the first pic when I posted. Looks like I was right.
  8. Impressive gains. It's good to see some data on the difference between the two setups. Makes it tempting for me to ditch my 2.5" DP and go with a 3" when it's time for a rebuild.
  9. I have no heat shield, hood vent or turbo/DP wrap so I have a pretty bad heat soak problem on my car. On hot days the manifold air temps gets up to 120F at stoplights. During normal freeway driving it's usually about 10 to 15 deg above ambient. I just got some wrap for the DP to try and control the heat soak and I'm eventually gonna put a manifold heat shield and maybe a turbo blanket. My temp sensor is mounted on the intake manifold BTW.
  10. 280Z-75 - I live close to downtown so maybe that wasn't me. I'll probably see you around sooner or later though
  11. That thing is sweet. Crazy how it can print that bearing in one piece. I want one for X-mas
  12. Those look like CCWs in the thumbnail you posted but I think he also has a set of Boze Mesh. The car has been discussed a lot and I believe the owner is a member here.
  13. I would take a crack free dash over a running engine since the engine would be coming out anyways. Not as easy to replace a dash. Rust would be top priority though.
  14. I semi daily drive mine also. I would probably drive it more if traffic wasn't so bad around here. I have a crack free dash and to protect it from cracking I always put one of those windshield sunscreens whenever I park. A good polishing will bring the shine back to your paint. I really love driving my S30 but the older I get and with a newborn in the house, the fumes and the lack of crash protection worries me more. The noise and the harshness doesn't bother me at all. If it gets to the point where I'm only driving it once a week, I'll probably sell it and get something like a E30 for a DD / toy like Ron
  15. I need to pick up some bolts to install my RT mount. There is no strap currently on my car. Anyone know the size of the bolts the mount the stock arrestor strap to the body?
  16. Did season ticket holders get first dibs? That would suck if they didn't.
  17. Just a FYI for people who need new tires. Discount tire is offering $100 off a set if you order online. Expires 10/20. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/home.do
  18. I was just browsing the Kreissieg website out of boredom and found this in their gallery. Do thay make an exhaust system for L-series engines? For those who are not familiar with Kreissieg here's a clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8t8kHWkRFo
