Sim, the diff should be a viscous lsd [check the alum cover for the vsld decal]. tooth rings & sensors [if I remember correctly] are for the traction control & abs. If you pull the diff, grab the driveshaft & halfshaft cv ends.
-
Got mine here, they were ~$40 + ship, arrived in 4-5 days. They are not the locating ring type though.

Underdrive pulley is for the crankshaft. For the alternator I did some mods to allowing belt clearance. We machined the countersunk holes on the alt bracket a bit deeper, machined the mount bolts same amount shorter [so they didn't bottom in the block & damage it] as well as face smooth the top of the bolts-providing proper serpentine belt clearance.

A bit off topic but where did you source the donuts/space saver tires on your z? I need a spare to fit over my brakes and the stock 14" won't do it, neither will my old rear drive maxima 16" space saver. Love the color and the build! thanks

Mine was the same way-too close for comfort. Had about 1/4" from the rack so I immediately went to an underdrive pulley for that reason.

Thanks-please send it to; palermodavid13@gmail.com

As the title says I'm looking for a left side Vitaloni "Californian" mirror. Don't need base or mounting screws or even the glass part. Mine broke where it pivots, hence my request. PM me if you have one. Thanks, David

Here is our father-son-daughter project z. 1/1971 build, re-sprayed original 907 green. Before & after

Used your hold control button method-resized my entire screen image, but did work to see the pics. Anyway, the airdam in question was made by Kamei. Bolts onto the existing stock 3 piece front & corner valence, is made from abs plastic and I have not seen one for 20 years or so...did a quick google search and there are a few currently for sale.

Please resize your pics-they are significantly too large & distorted to reasonably view.

Thought I had posted before but searched and...anyway here are a few pics of my wheels. 17x8.5 Compomotive 3 piece wheels I had built years ago [couldn't afford the HRE's]. -

Car show today and first drive other than down our cal-de-sac short street. Z ran flawlessly for the 25 minute cruise to the show. Unfortunately we arrived too late for judging, think my son Alan was bummed [as was I] that we weren't judged. Figured we'd get either paint or engine bay at least. Next we'll get back to the interior [once this heat wave departs] and work on the smaller details we didn't have time for. -
Fitting 240sx NISSAN retractable seat belts in the S30
1 tuff z replied to lumberjackj's topic in Interior
Finally got around to installing our 240sx belts with a couple of mods. Also thankful Nelsonian had been kind to sell us his [after they would not work in his z] for our z at a nice price! removed the stock cover from the retractors [may install later...] enlarged the retractor mount holes to allow a shoulder bolt made extenders for the receiver belt They work fantastically and I believe are safer than the oem 71 belts this z came with. Very happy with the install thus far. Pics -

Kids washed 'Jade' yesterday and cleaned the plastic interior panels. Headliner decided NOT to stay in place-few more steps backward. Finally finished the seatbelts [240sx donated] and they work great. This shows the extender Jimmy Z made for me [he's the cnc billet z parts guy] for the receiver, next pic shows the retractor-stock z location Alan began waxing and Emma finished the photo album [sort of in chronological order] and I installed the console, set the timing and tried to fix the exhaust leak where the downpipe mates to the exhaust manifold without success. Show is tomorrow and Jade is nearly ready for her big debut! Interior will not be finished but she will look good!! -

Holy crap-I'm thinking low 11's? The way your z pulls compared to mine I'd guess you're mid 400 hp to the wheels... -

Just returned from the exhaust shop-they did a very nice job and it sounds great. Was going to post info on the adhesive we used for the headliner but when I sat in the z noticed something hitting my head...headliner needs to be glued again. Think we'll go with a different adhesive. Too much left to do before the show this Sunday [7/15/12] but will get the most important done first. Got the hatch panel installed Tweaked the oe mount slotted holes for the Integra seat finished on the passenger side Played a bit more with the pass seat belt-think I got it right this time, now on to the driver side Finished the right door, plastic installed [we used collision shop wrap-they put it on crashed cars to seal them from the weather while they sit outdoors awaiting estimates, fixing, etc.] & worked great, door panel in! Still need to do set idle & timing install seat belts, seats & door panels center console carpeting-if time allows then the interior panels & more New exhaust pic -

Focusing on the exterior for now-specifically what you can see standing []. Still need to spray the front fender wells, undercarriage & such but really running out of time. Speedo isn't working-think the tranny speedo drive gear is missing the drift pin [stuck my finger in after pulling the speedo driven gear and it spins easily], gas tank has a leak and will need to be pulled. Funny, it didn't leak until I went over 6 gallons-think but hoping not, but may be the seam. Still have to tackle the interior but most likely will only get seats & console. Will try for carpet kit [have it] and plastic panels but may not have the time. Can't believe how much time it's taking to put it all back together.
