  1. That's my plan for this winter. Test fit the header & exhaust, determine how [angle] to best position the sensor, mark the bung location then pull the header, drill & weld.
  2. Sensor bung arrived today, also ordered a plug just in case [was only a $1 more...]. Planning the bung location for my AEM wide band AFR. Purchased a separate SS bung (so it matches the SS exhaust and curve of the pipe). I like the curved bung so it'll need less 'weld'.

  4. Indeed, looks like you've placed it pretty far downstream [at the end of the 2>1 pipe]. I don't know enough about how the wide band system works but is there a recommended distance from the head?
  5. Sean, I just ordered a SS sensor bung for mine to install a wide band oxygen sensor. Curious where you're placing it on the system.
  6. That sucks Joe, I won't ask how. No work on my Z but changed my lawn mower oil, preparing it for winter storage!
  7. Keith, the floors are in our finished basement. Laminate bamboo [not real, think they call it manufactured], Alan & I put it in, not terribly difficult. The cowl panel is the original, had it bead blasted to see how bad the rust is/was then figured I should paint it so it didn't get any worse but all I had was a rattle can of that blue...
  8. Packages arrived today from France! This system is absolutely gorgeous - almost too pretty to put on the car. Love the v-band clamps for the resonator. Everything is top notch, welds are meticulous [like the welder took pride in their work]! Going to be awhile before I can get it installed for some video but wanted to share the pics.
  9. Oh, and 2 big boxes full of goodies arrived from Sean D in France today! Few pics of the 'system', full polished stainless, v-band clamps where need, absolutely gorgeous!
  10. Fired up the extremely long engine build last night. Here's a link to the video from fb. Stock block & bottom end L28 [77 280 donor], E31 head, mild steet port, polish, new valve guides & 280z valves installed. Isky regrind on a stock 280 cam, new springs. Triple 45mm webers. Drive time is next before the winter shuts all the summer cars into hibernation.
  11. PM sent but also feel free to email me directly; palermodavid13@gmail.com
  12. The chromed billet pieces [turn signal knob & hood release] look fantastic! Jimmy [owner, Ztek Mfg] would be proud!
  13. Just made payment for the street-sport header, exhaust & twin outlet JDM muffler. Going on my 72 Fairlady, can't wait until it arrives. Although I'm getting a flash from the movie Christine when the kid is putting new wipers on the old car and the owner tells him [think this is close] "hey kid, you can't polish a turd". Essentially this system will be the best looking part of my Fairlady as she undergoes a lengthy restoration.
  14. $450 shipped to your door via usps priority mail. Add $50 and 2 weeks for correct black satin powdercoating.
  15. Robbie, the southern Z's dome light lenses typically brittle with age but I've found that most which lived north of the Mason-Dixon line remain in decent condition. If 88dangerdan's isn't I have at least 1 spare available. Much less than the other option you're considering.
  16. I have a pair of the short stalk version, new in the Nissan boxes available. Same as I run on my z [had mine powdercoated black a few years ago]. Pics show on my car, before and after powdercoating too.
  17. Sean, that's odd that it says I can't receive any new messages after I deleted 2 of the 3 pages. Anyway, I did reply to your email 2 days ago. My email is; palermodavid13@gmail.com
  18. Sean, tidied my pm inbox so there's room now and emailed you as well. Looking forward to your reply!
  19. Sean, been following your thread and am thrilled you've started this venture. Great alternative for the Z community. Below is what I'm interested in for my 1972 right drive Fairlady Z-L. Can you provide a price quote please, shipped to Rochester, NY, USA 14167 1 5/8" primary pipe Street-sport header [for the E31 square port head] with full 2.5" exhaust line and JDM twin-exit rear muffler. Thanks, David
  20. It is I, 1 Tuff Z, and yes I do have JDM fender mirrors available!
