  1. You can purchase these long tubes, suggest you begin by spending some time reading the entire thread and go to post #203 for the builders contact info. You will purchase from him directly, pricing a bit higher than the group buy but significantly less than if you had them built as a one off.
  2. Congrats! And I was hoping for a celebratory burnout...
  3. I too hated my HPS's, used them for a bit but found that only a couple sessions on the track burned through them. With the HP+ they last close to 2 years and are ok for the street as well. Lots of dust [at the track only] nearly zero rotor wear in the rear and some in the front-but looks nearly the same as our daily drivers [ie-not excessive]. My front rotors last about 2 years as well. I'd call and switch the order to HP+ if not too late and/or return the HPS's when they arrive.
  4. Yes, you won I also received 2 forms of payment. Want to ensure you don't wind up paying twice for this. Anyway, I'll get it packed and shipped shortly. Thanks, David
  5. Kenny, I have one on fleabay currently and another similar-pm me if you're interested.

    replated z parts

various z parts i have replated and most are for sale...
  7. Yes, mine will be for sale shortly, I may also sell the 2.5" t304 ss "Y" pipe that mates to them as well. "Y" pipe is 2.5' dual into a single 3" with a 3 bolt ss flange [which mates to a single 3" pipe to the rear-see pic]. Shorties were purchased from JTR uncoated, then port matched to the exhaust gaskets, cleaned up [weld, slag, etc] at the collector end then Swain Tech white lightning coated. Approximately 10,000 miles on them-all broken in! More pics are in my gallery. pm me if you're interested.
  8. You can remove the stock prop valve and that will provide additional rear pressure. You could also go to a more aggressive rear pad or less aggressive front. Next would be larger rear brakes-been there done all that.
  9. Cyrus, what year is your z and is the booster stock? Is it possible when you changed the master cylinder the reaction disc slipped [search hbz for the thread + fix]. Do you have pedal travel then it feels like it hits a mechanical stop [this could be reaction disc problem]? Click here for the sticky thread on the reaction disc. I have the mml 13's, 15/16 maste, stock booster [1973 larger version of the 240's] and have no problem locking the fronts. PBR calipers came in 2 versions both from various Ford [Mustang Cobra & R] & GM vehicles [older Corvette & Camaro with 1LE package] and all take the same pads-here are Hawk numbers. Calipers came in 2 flavors; 38mm pistons & 40mm, larger piston models have the fine thread for flex line and smaller the course thread. I have both and each work fine. Pads: Hawk [HP+] HB111.N610, [blue 9012] HB111.E610 Rotors: Coleman 800-221-1851, larry x120 or glen x122. Rotor dimensions on file call to order. ~$135 each, add $16 each for slots. 10. Mine were missing as well-so I called Blake to inquire and remind him that post 1 of this thread [where we listed the criteria-including new oe gaskets, after agreeing to the build with him]. Anyway, he's having difficulty locating them in quantity at a reasonable price. Reinforced that they are part of the agreement / deal / price and he's working on a solution. I am not sure what that will be though. My hopes are he finds them shortly and ships to us soon.
  11. Initially I was going to drive the z to the shop to get the work done; dyno [last dyno'd in 2006] to get initial numbers, pull shorties, install longtubes, mate to exhaust, dyno. The hitch is that my current exhaust is dual 2.5 into single 3 just downstream of the tranny. Since the LT's are 3 outlet I may go dual 3 to single 3. In doing this I'm not certain that won't skew [read increase] the dyno results. In addition, not sure if I want to pay for the install of the LT's when I could easily do it myself while the z is still in storage-also saves down time during the driving season. Thoughts?
  12. Returned from a lunch meeting, big box outside my office door-Long tubes! Here are mine! Right Left
  13. Hey, so you found my Uncle Ben I lent you awhile ago-so when is he coming back home?!
  14. Subscribed! What color are the rota's getting powdercoated?
  15. My DD is an 03 Focus SVT. Not much power but high marks for the fun factor. They can be found in 3 door or 5 door [04's only] hatchs in the $4-$10 range depending on mileage & condition. Factory subwoofer in hatch, split folding rear seats, 6 speed getrag trans, leather trimmed seats, 6 disc in dash changer with controls to left of steering wheel, 4 wheel discs, 170 hp [both super & turbo charger kits available], 17" wheels, optional; sunroof, hid's, cold wx package [heated seats, mirrors & plug for engine warmer] & leather recaros. Handles well, fairly neutral [unlike most front drivers which push too much], precise steering and more. I average around 30mpg combined city & highway driving. I'll look to purchase another when my wife's car dies or she's ready to give it up. allofcraigs will result in about 10 pages of them...
  16. Great build, can't believe I had not seen it before-subscribed!
  17. I have a 71 z under restoration currently with no interior and would volunteer it if that would help-I'm upstate NY
  18. I have the bolts, they are replated in yellow zinc, pm sent .
  19. Spoke with Blake on my way home from work yesterday. He was getting the last of the header collectors welded to the headers [guess there's quite a bit of welding on 20 pair]. Boxes arrived late last week and is sourcing the last of the hardware. Seems as though there is a shortage of the oe multi-layer manifold gaskets available through GM...
  20. Here are my LED tails. You'll notice a slight din [barely visible dim light] in each lens. Found that due to the low amp/voltage draw of the lights we had to relay the brake light switch and the problem is now solved-no more din = work perfectly. Click here for the hbz thread.
