  1. Brand new msa type 1 skirts, still in the bubble wrap. pm'd
  2. thanks for the quick reply-confirmed with our contracted shop-we hold to our minimum of 20 and he'll keep his end of the bargain on options, construction and pricing. david
  3. All, received an update this morning from our fabricator. I think he is as frustrated as we are-good news it he is confident we have the solution in hand. prior to committing to the other shop that will 'produce' the headers he asked me to reach out to all 21 of us on the list and reaffirm we are still 'in'. I apologize again for the extended delay, which [as you may guess] is far beyond my control. note from shop owner we contracted for our group buy; Hey guys just wanted to pass along some info, good and bad... the bender in California that i originally purchased the tubing from that gave the me run around has dropped the ball once again... after having the tubes for 4+ weeks i call them to get and update and they have not even begun building jigs to start duplication. I was livid.... I told them to send the parts back to me. I have found a new very reputable company that is more than willing to do the work for us. I have spoke with them, emailed them pics, discussed $ and the parts are on there way there as of today. i asked him about turn around time (since that has been the issue) and he says once he has the parts in his hand, a project of this size is about normal for them so he said 3-4 weeks DONE. my question to you is are your guys [myself, sunnyz and everyone else on this group buy] still wanting these, when we close the GP do i have committed money? i dont have the $ to pay for these out of pocket when they are all done. this is a big job. i'm going with 25 sets of tubes, presale plus 6 extra to be sold at a later date after the GP is over. I know sunnyz wants his car so im trying to wrap that up first and get him back on the road before the snow hits. lol! Again i apologize for this turning into such a big drawn out deal but these headers will be worth the wait. Thanks Here is our list of 21-please reply either by pm or to this thread that you are in [we hope] or... 4. Mike, thanks for the info. I'd also like to know type & size of tire and your feedback on the handling of your z from the next event. David
  5. Wanted to post my specs & ask advice. Here is my driving "perception"; turn in is a bit slower than I'd like and car understeers unless I trail brake for nearly each corner. Car is street driven and sees duty 4x per year at Watkins Glen. My concerns are; car does not feel as buttoned down or solid as I'd like [i don't feel confident going as fast through the esses as I do in other cars I've driven, my favorite is a friends 90 300zx n/a]. Also, my tires are 'rounding' on outer portion of tread-front tires. Thanks, in advance, for any help/guidance! 6. still no word from the bender. frustratingly slow this has been and i am appreciative of all your patience [guess as well as mine]. hope to hear something this week... david
  7. there are 3 small chips, along the 'hood' side. appears as though there are very small [think smaller than 1/4" dia] voids in the fb and the gelcoat separated. no mounting studs, use nut & bolt instead. wanted to provide necessary details so as to minimize any surprises upon delivery [been surprised too many times myself...].
  8. I'd prefer it without the chips as well:D will take $35+shipping for it... Let me know, have a box ready and can ship day after payment received.
  9. I have one, Here is the hbz posting with pics
  10. Saw this while at the vintage races last weekend. Spoke with the owner/driver about the mod. His drive was aerodynamics, along with enclosing the rad opening, splitter to the front crossmember and shaving the drip rails. Asked how long-been installed over 3 years-no street driving-just racing, no replacements, a few rock hits [he had the 'stars' repaired] but no cracks. Looks to me as though he used the stock gasket, sliced off the outer layer and used modern adhesive-smoothing it afterward. He didn't do the install but had a glass shop do it. Oh, he cleanly won his class and ran a 2:12.4 best lap. For reference I've touched 2:19 with my z on street tires and barely kept it on the track for that lap... Windshield-also shows shaved drip rails Close up of corner Another close up Inside shot of stock gasket Not judging any of the previous posts nor do I possess any specialized knowledge about windows. Wanted to pass along info from a Z racer who found success with this.

  12. Still need to take pic with panel on-fits great and does not bow out at all. The kit is universal, as are the switches. I pulled this number from the switch instruction sheet; COD 3304 0128. I purchased the kit and switches from evilc, perhaps he can chime in with the specifics.
  13. Wanted to add an install on the early s30. Finally [had the kit for about 4 months now] got my Spal power windows installed, here are a few pics. Wiring run through the pin switch hole, drilled another in the door. We used high pressure fuel injection hose with grommets. Works great, they're quiet and I can finally open & close the windows without getting out of my harness! Motor, etc in the door Close up of motor, ect. Console with switches installed Switch close up Door panel pics Close up of cap where the window crank used to reside
