  1. I like it as well. Can you post a pic looking straight on from the front for us? perhaps you could mount a vertical turn signal [think 350z].
  2. New update or non update depending on how you look at it. Spoke with our builder today-he ordered and paid for the ss tubing & components for the prototype pair the day after I paid him. Was told when he ordered they had about half of the order in stock but needed to 'make/bend' the other half-that was weeks ago. Many follow up calls & emails [between builder, tube supplier & myself], we've been told that some of the order shipped a week ago but it is very challenging to get them live on the phone. We are currently exploring options regarding another supplier. Builder is feeling like a 'richard' at this point as we are well past our target completion date [as I am feeling about the same]-unfortunately the exhaust tubing/parts are beyond his control. I will continue to post updates as they come to me and want to express my appreciation for your 'collective' patience. David ps-can't wait to get my longtubes!
  3. l'll let sunnyz chime on this. couple of things we'll need to ask first; does the builder have a dyno? do we have a baseline for sunnyz's car? is his z ready to mount the lt's? my plan was to, once mine arrive, dyno my z-again. same shop, same dyno and post the comparitive results between the sanderson shorty's and our [in progress] lt's-limiting the variables to simply the weather.
  4. Thanks Jon, one more favor-can you post another but with the camera pulled back a bit so I have a better reference? As always, thanks for sharing your in depth suspension knowledge!
  5. Sick is right, looks fantastic Stony! I'm guessing you're using fg bumpers? So...when do we get some track video!!
  6. Jon, love to see some pics of your slotted lca mount holes if you have them.
  7. I love the plastic & metal emblems, however-decals are inexpensive, don't fall off and can't be stolen...
  8. no problem- completely understand. update-supplier for mandrel bends was back ordered on the bends that were ordered-finally came in yesterday [we expected them early Last week!]. as a good friend of mine, "everything takes longer than it does"...unfortunately. thanks for your patience [all] as we await our coveted z lsx long tubes
  9. here is a pic of our near complete engine bay. painted the rad today, hung it, attached upper and lower rad hoses, rubber fuel lines, ignition coil & ballast resister and a few other odd smaller parts... need to mount/install; windshield washer bottle & lines, front turn signals, headlights, some rubber parts and exhaust downpipe. probably a hundred other parts i can't remember as well.

  12. same car, they are probably out of order but some before and after shots. if i was more computer proficient or had more time i'd have them in order but alas i am not... perhaps i should charge my children with managing this thread, after all it will be theirs once complete!
  13. got an idea to open/modify the stock exhaust a bit. so, ordered v-band connectors and had one welded to the end of the stock downpipe. it will allow easy assembly & dis of the exhaust from the downpipe. plans are for a 2.25" exhaust, intermediate muffler/resonator and ansa tips [came with the z]. next step is to powdercoat hi heat satin black to match the stock manifold. here is a pic of downpipe and v-band stuff close-up cool looking end view

  15. this has happened to me before. pull your door panel, locate the adjustment nut/collar at the bottom of the rod which the outer door handle actuates. simply thread it to extend the rod a bit. pulling and reinstalling the door panel should be the most tedious part of the job.
  16. builder called me today. both prototype sides are complete [in mild steel] and meet all requirements except; a/t trans and removal of headers to pull trans. i just paypal'd him funds to purchase the stainless materials to build the ss prototypes, once complete we'll post pics in this thread. next steps; pay for ss materials [done], order ss materials to build ss prototypes [in process], build ss proto's, provide builder contact info for buyers [us] to clarify/place orders & provide deposit, build ss longtubes, ship ss longtubes! builder estimates about 2 weeks until the ss protos are completed. so, get your paypal accounts ready all!
