  1. All in pieces ... Nah everybody's done that 350 going in ... Also common Isn't running ... done to death Primer gray ... yawn I guess it's replacing the quarter windows with recessed vent panels.
  2. They have to be done correctly (ie taken to the back edge of the car). If you put a flat deck back there, and it ends a foot or two before the end of the car, or you stick a big wing behind it, then it'll never look right
  3. LOL Whats with the cow-catchers on the front. I wouldn't have thought the domestic livestock problem was that bad in Japan
  4. I did the same but used some good quality Rustoleum flat black spray paint. It looked nice for a while but started to fleck and chip. Make sure you do a very thorough job prepping the metal before you paint.
  5. It is very cool, but its not a parking garage in Munich, it's the Volkswagen storage facility in Wolfsburg http://fuzzz.gaulin.ca/2006/07/29/vw-parking-garage-silo/ They should offer rides
  6. Opel Gt, VW with a Bradley GT (or similar body kit), Late 70's Honda civic, Chevy Chevette (very light), Old Datsun or Subaru Pick-Up
  7. I mentioned the hose to the wheel well mostly for relieving the pressure. It would be a short run from the window, straight down. The extra brake cooling would only be a bonus. As long as you're going to be covering over the window... You could fiberglass a flat sheet just over top of the window, leaving an inch or two at the back uncovered. Over top of this you could put your scoop and blend it into the body. The inner fiberglass would cover the window making it look a little more factory, and prevent water from building at the base of the window. Done this way too you could open the window when you wanted to and the space at the back of the inner sheet would let the air into the cabin without blowing all over the place. It would probably be easier than putting in a plexiglass window.
  8. Well the obvious option is to run a hose from under the scoop, and down through the wheel well to give yourself a little extra brake cooling.
  9. I think that'll look nice if they're blended smooth at the back. Are they going to be functional ? It would seem that you could build up a lot of pressure there.
  10. I dont like the way it looks, but if it were an engine bay I was working in frequently, I would do it in a heartbeat. Sometimes pretty aint practical.
  11. I've put one in upside down before and it acted just like you describe. The heat builds up on the hot side of the thermostat and slowly migrates to the cool side until the metal is hot enough to force it to open just a crack. Once this happens hot water gets to the sensor side, and the thing pops open allowing all of the built up pressure past in one violent flush. Make sure you flush the whole system, violent discharges like that could suck air bubbles up into your cooling system.
  12. Maybe someday I'll get to it 1954 Chrysler Newport 2dr Hard Top 331 hemi .... any offers ???
  13. Has Aziza's account been hijacked. Ive read other messages from him, usually polite and courteous. This doesn't sound the same.
  14. I can count at least four ways your request is inappropriately presented. It is probably there to stop bot's from scavenging the site.
  15. Or as my brother liked to refer to my car "Its good from far, but far from good"
  16. I like flares, but what you've got already looks pretty good to me. I think flares might make it look different, but not that much better. Have you considered painting the inside of the wheel-well black. It might reduce the contrast between the tire and the car, making the wheel appear to stand out less. It might make the back end look a little beefier as well... I'm sure some of the photoshop wiz's here could show you what it would look like
  17. I think a z body would look nice on this, shouldn't be too much work (lol) its going for only 10,900 ebay item # 200194219830
  18. You could put that under a carport covered in solar panels and have a nice little scooter. The 25 Mph limit might make hard to take out on the highway though.
  19. LOL, Already got a blinker circuit board wired up. Actually thats why I went with the smaller 60's corvette lights, they're smaller and I can fit 3 on each side. I'm going to go with recessed Infinity I35 marker lights But mounted upside down for a more aggressive look.
  20. Thanx for the kind words. Maybe I'll even be able to drive it this year, but I'm not going to hold my breath. HowlerMonkey, No, not RX2 (a nice choice though), That's set up for late 60's Corvette tail lights with bubble domes.
  21. I'm doing something similar, I thought the back would look too heavy so I'm putting in some ferrari like vents to continue the roof and door lines, and a panterra hatch to lighten the looks.
  22. First, a church that you base your life decisions is not a church, it's a cult. If they're good people, which I would think they are, I'm sure they would want the best for you and your family. Secondly, you forgot an important Pro: The fact that you have a boss that thinks enough of you to make the offer in the first place, and the fact that your boss has the position in the company that he does. Mikeatpri has it exactly right though, go or stay are not your only two choices.
  23. I always thought it was so you could take a quick glance down to identify the parts passing by after you hear "crunch-bang-clank"
