Alex, While I agree that a FAQ sticky would be good, new people (and some existing ones) don't even bother to read the guidelines sticky. If they had, these posts would not be made. I say that maybe the rules be updated to say " Members with fewer than 100 posts cannot post any non-Z questions, or for sale items." If they do, then a Mod, or Admin can just unceremoniously delete them! Yes/No? Tim

Topic moved from Troubleshooting/General Engine. Check all of your grounds. I assume that you have already checked your fuses. The tail lights are grounded to the body in the rear. Take them off, clean them up with a wire brush, put them back making sure that they have a good contact with the body. That may do the trick. Tim

As a foreign national myself, I'll chime in a bit here. I had to work very, very, very hard to get me legal status in this country. It is very difficult, and more so now with 9-11 issues. While i do not disagree with you on the use of cheap labour, and the need for it, I do disagree that non-documented aliens should be given the same access to benefits and service as the rest of us. I mean really, they come in, get jobs (ok not as high paying as educated people, but more than they would get back 'home'), and are, by in large, 'allowed' to stay and work (obviously not officially), and then they complain because the government (whether Fed, State, or Local) isn't giving them the same resources as legal residents. That is insane. Doesn't everyone see the irony and downright ludicracy in that..... I was here illegally for a short time. I ended up leaving and going back home for a few years to regroup, and resubmit paperwork. There was no way I was going to start bitching because i didn't have health insurance etc... Tim

There is that 'Stealth Audio' system made by Custom AutoSound here in CA. All the electronics are hidden, including head unit, and you have a fully functional remote that can be installed in the sun visor etc. Very cool looking, but speakers will still be visible . Tim

BTW, you can also use 14mm spark plug anti-foul inserts dor O2 bungs. Cheaper and available at any parts store. Just cut off the end piece. that's what I used. Tim

I think that the difference comes in where it's a brand new member, posting his first time about a non-Z hybrid. I frown on that. Yes my headers have O2 bungs. They are near the collector pointing to each other on the inside (pointing towards the flywheel). You can pretty much bet that any car from early 90's up has O2 sensors. If you need O2 sensors, get them from the GM dealer (AC Delco), not the Bosch ones from the parts store. Tim

Problem is people over here, people phone 911 for non emergency calls which ties up teh lines drastically. "Hello, 911?...My car is running funny on the freeway, what should I do?", or "Hello, 911, which exit is it for the zoo?" (someone obviously forgot their way home)... This is crap that actually happens. It has gotten so bad that the CHP now has TV ads telling these morons not to dial 911 unless it's an emergency. Apparently, judging from the ads, when people don't activate their cell's key lock and they bump the phone, it calls 911 alot too..... Tim

Dammit, I lost the entire post...here is the condensed version. Take out the plug and hook it up to teh wire...lay it on teh engine and fire up the truck. Check for spark. You will also be able to hear if the cylinder has pressure. make sure that the plug is against something metal to ground it. How is Mexi treating you? Tim

McClintock is in the Indians back pocket already!! Look whose paying for all his TV ads. As for Arnold's lack of political experience, I think that's a bonus!! Look at what Jesse Ventura did for Minnessota!. Arnold will surround himself with experts, get their input and make his own decision, just like most politicians do, but I firmly believe that Arnold has the right intentions for the State in general, not self serving ones like GD. Arnold has a reputation as a very shrewd businessman, and that is exactly what's needed in CA., not another politician. As for recalling GD....his decisions are based on where the $$$ comes from, not what is good for the State. Just look at the last few Bills he has signed. Tim

Unfortunately I cannot vote, but if for no other reason (of which there are many), is the Indian Gaming issue. I work for a very large public utility, and although I can't go into it, Davis has/is giving them political power that can bring this State to it's knees (I'm not exaggerating!!!). Every other major candidate has received very significant $$$ from the tribes. Vote for them at your peril. my 2c worth. BTW, my wife, who is a staunch democrat, has vote for Arnold.... Tim
