  1. Tom, Did you put them in a cold oven, then turn it on, or did you preheat the oven? Tim
  2. Tom, that seems quite incredible! Were they working A-OK before you stripped them? Maybe you can try the other paint suggested in your other post next time, stuff that doesn't require baking? Are these stock 240 calipers? I have a set that came off my V8 project. They have been sitting for a couple of years, but they are yours if you want. Tim

Gravity feed HVLP. Harbor Freight has some pretty decent ones: I use this one for Primer: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=43430 Tim

  9. It's on the wrong side of the Country, but http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com have some very good products. Tim
  10. Do a search, I remember reading several times that those 2.3s have some pretty significant reliability issues. Tim
  11. If you want a true dolly that you can use to start the engine, and roll it around a knee level (less chance of tipping over), PAW has them for about $500 with gauges and start button and battery holder. Tim
  12. You could always get a spray gun and the material and do it yourself. Tim
  13. The CHP and Sherriffs helicopters here have a top speed of 110 mph, but remember, they can fly "as the crow flies", so you would have to be going in a straight line. Tim
  14. It's been my experience that when buying from hot rod or 'speed shops', that unless you are buying something super sexy, like a 8-71 supercharger, or big buck item.....Dumb @ss syndrome definitely applies....the guys just don't think of the small purchaser in the same light....too bad...good customer service is hard to find. You could try the machine shops...they tend to have all kinds of 'junk' laying around and you can sometimes get it for free. When I bought and installed the Vortec heads on my truck, my machine shop gave me a set of valve covers (center bolt....I only has old style side bolt). They even ran them through the wash bay for me....all for a nominal price of $10. Tim
  15. I've only heard of their house paint product line...top notch....no idea about auto paints? Tim
  16. Found this, thought you all might be interested: http://www.transmissioncenter.net/TransmissionMeasurements.htm Also, Please see here: http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=25041&highlight= Tim
  17. I agree that the FI setup is not very difficult at all. I had originally planned to run a built 350 with Holley DP. Then I found the LT1/T56 combo for cheap. The wiring is very easy. I had zero FI experience before this. Tuning is easy with TunerCat software and a laptop. Brings new meaning to 'armchair tuning'! Tim
  18. 1995 F Body would be the most ideal. 1993 was speed density based, 1994 (which I have) has a MAF and different fuel rails, but the optispark is unvented. 1995 is still OBDI, but has the vented optispark. 1996 went to OBDII, which is more difficult/expensive to edit the PCM. Tim
  19. When I was running the HKS SSV BOV on my stock ZXT, I didn't notice any richness when venting to Atmosphere. I didn't have a A/F gauge or anything, but it never puffed smoke, or stumbled....always pulled very strong.... Tim
  20. Eventually, over time, you have the potential for breaking a crank, or gearbox, but I think occasional use is OK. Tim
  21. It's a very angry face!! Dave, were your feet very angry? Tim
