  1. hehe, went from being banned to tarred and feathered! hehe As the official representitive of "Feathered Or Winged League" Or "FOWL" its my duty to inform you that any usage of feathers with tar is illegal except for us southerners! I believe the prefered method for you northerners was hanging? "Beuford, get a rope!" Tim
  2. Moby... Although I sold my ZXT, I still plan to use my MS system. I am going to use it on my truck (350 V8) and I would love to use a spark control too!! Tim
  3. In my experience the outer bushings of the rear control arms were the toughest. The mustache bar ones are a PITA too from what I hear, but I haven't done those yet. I believe you have to burn out the old bushings (leaving the steel sleeve behind). Tim
  4. Hey that's pretty slick!! Slap some plates on that thing and go terrorise the Honda crowd!! Tim
  5. I hope that this doesn't sound harsh, it certainly isn't mean't to: What is the problem? No one is telling the L6 guys here not to post, or taking away a place for them to post. It is merely a consolidation of forums. You still have a place, true, you are in the company of other engine marques, but why is that such a big problem? Nothing else has changed. Everyone is acting like their keyboards will no longer work if they want info on an L6 issue! Up until very recently, I had two L6 Zs (240 and ZXT) and I too posted in the L6 forum. I guess I just don't understand why this has been taken so personally....no one has stopped you from doing what you have been doing, just asked you to share your sandbox....
  6. It has not been deleted, rather consolidated in with other 6 cylinder engines. The consolidation has been in the works for a while now....why the attack on HybridZ?
  7. Aaaww, we love you guys...don't feel left out! 8) Tim
  8. I found these after one search!: http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=22737&highlight=13b http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21576&highlight=13b http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4434&highlight=13b
  9. I am currently getting prices from my supplier. To keep things simple, I am getting prices on silkscreened T-shirts, embroidered caps (adjustable type, fitted would be a logistical nightmare), and patches (sew on). Will update as soon as I have some info. Tim
  10. Pete, Since the Admins are trying to consolodate some of the forums, I very much doubt that any more will be added. Electrical suff could be posted in the troubleshooting forum, Misc. tech or the High Tech forum. Tim
  11. Not that difficult, I would think. Just make a new panel out of sheetmetal that fits over the entire width of the tail light area. Cut the holes for the Supra lights and make some whay to bolt them in (likely need to cut the holes in the body too). I took it a bit further....lots of work and time, but doable. Tim
  12. I think that 2 reasons stand out. #1, our old friend the rust monster. #2, they are beginning to fetch very premium prices as they get more scarse. Electrical system is even less 'sophisticated' than the Zs, so that would need to be redone IMO. Not a big deal, esp. if you plan to hybridize it. Maybe a N/A rotary....that would still be a demon little car. Tim
  13. No, I read just about all the postings on these forums and you have just been the most visible. Nothing personal, but if you've been reading the posts regarding rule violations, and "Admins and Mods being on a short fuse", then you will understand. More members have been banned in the last couple of weeks than in all the time I've been a member here......just food for thought. TIm
  14. I always thought a turbo rotary in a Roadster would be fun! Tim
  15. Simon, Any changes to the geometry of the suspension will change the toe. You can get the alignment pretty close by 'stringing the car', but you will be better off taking to a tyre shop for a computer alignment. Tim
  16. The tach is messed up. get another one or have this one rebuilt. I had a very similar problem on mine....only when it was really hot out. Tim
  17. Why not just have them machine a groove in the shaft and put in a C clip?
  18. Mike, You mean the CV adapters right? Have you put them under some heavy loads yet? Tim
  19. Scott, Did you look at the flywheel while the engine was accessible? My neighbor's maxima had a noise that sounded just like a really bad tappet, or bearing knock. I had heard that maximas were somewhat famous for cracked flywheels and that that caused a very similar sound. Don't know how likely that is in your case, but if you are truely at a loss, it's worth looking into. Tim
  20. In the sentence below the image in the post above, it should read C.O.C.K., but I guess the language police software doesn't like it, so now it has been renamed "drain Rooster" ha ha ha Tim
  21. Here are the hoses I used: Top hose (driver's side): Gates hose, part number: 21557 Bottom hose (pass. side): top is Gates hose # 20065, bottom is Gates #21353 Between the top and bottom hoses on the pass. side I uses a Moroso reducer tube, like this: I took out the drain cock and put a hose nipple fitting in it's place. FWIW, the serpentine belt I used was one size shorter to accommodate the lack of A/C compressor and the idler pulley in it's place. the part number for that is: Gates MicroV #K060598. Hope that helps. Tim
  22. On the front camber, try this: Jack up the car and put jack stands under the frame rails (anywhere but the cross member). Loosen the 2 bolts on either side of the cross member (4 total that holds the cros member to the body) and try to slide the cross member over to the driver's side. That will make the pass. side more positive (camber) and the driver's side more negative. That is of cours if nothing is bent. Check your strut tube and stub axle. Tim
  23. The R180 will live a long life if you take care of it. Power doesn't break diffs, traction does. This is the order I would do it if I were to do it in stages: 1. brakes...you can never have too much braking, even with low HP stock engine. 2. Chassis stiffening (whether as simple as strut tower braces, to full cage and sub frame connectors, it will help, even with low HP) 3. Drop in the V8. 4. Do the suspension work...whether it's just new bushings, or complete upgrade to coilovers.... 5. Cosmetic and interior. Tim
  24. Again...do a search. PLease go back and reread the rules and guidelines that I gave you a link to in another of your posts. Search a topic before posting....all this stuff has been dealt with time and time again. Tim
