  3. So go the Z on the dyno today and pulled out some pretty good numbers. Made 233whp and 220tq at 9lbs boost. All untuned.. Air/fuel was all over the place so for a first run its not bad. 82 degrees outside aswell... Here are some videos for you guys.   4. Sell the RB20 and build the l28et, You can make good power cheap with these motors. Hook up megasquirt and tune it and you will have a sick lil 240z. Use some money from the RB20 and get some suspension mods if you havent already. Good luck!!
  5. My Z is a daily driver as well and I plan on a seat back cage with side bars from about the elbow down(if your sitting in the chair) to the bottom corner of the door. This cage will be removable as insurance companies charge more for having a cage in your car....Have it well done if your not doing it, you dont want it coming apart and the cage killing you. Dont do stupid ♥♥♥♥ on the roads either not a smart idea. If its canyon driving dont go off a cliff cuz Z's werent made to do that. Trust me you dont want tickets at such a young age, too many of my friends have had their licenses taken away from anywhere from 6 months to two years. Get some autocross events under your belt and have fun.

    Diff Temp?

    It should be hot, you will have friction inside your diff...Just aslong as its not glowing hahaha. Take a sample of your fluid and if it smells burnt then your definitly hot. How long has the fluid been in?? Also check color and rub it in between your fingers its shouldnt be gritty.
  7. 35mpg on a untuned RB25DET at a constant 75-80mph Wont last for long haha.

  10. Also, if you have to disconnect your NOS to match up with the other car then the cars arent evenly matched. Seems like they do more of trying to make it look like a good race then racing matched cars.. and by the 5th race the faster car wins, and its usually a 9 sec car matched up with a high 10 car, 9 sec car wins first race....9 sec car takes off NOS and pedals second race and loses, 9 sec car wins 3rd race, DRAMA DRAMA YELL YELL BLAH BLAH, 9 sec car agrees to a certain length, 9 sec car loses 4th race and BLAH BLAH BLAH DRAMA yells at 10sec car saying he has been pedaling the whole time BLAH BLAH YELL ok... heads up no NOS no pedaling OR YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!!!!! 9sec car wins fifth race cuz....hmmm ITS A 9SEC CAR!!! episode over Thank you for your sportmanship and we'll see you next time on pinks! There ya go 30 min episode in two minutes.
  11. Yea, always seems that something happens to the car that would most likely keep it from racing but they patch it up and win the race. Also they do a lot of pedaling, its more stradegy then plain racing.... I think itd be better to have a all HybridZ drags, match up people with similar power to the ground and race for points, or just do it for fun, run what you brung, that would be better tv if you ask me!
  12. Sounds like the show is going downhill to me....I have watched the show maybe 3 times and lost total interest...Rules are dumb...Drama Drama and crying is all I ever see...Just my opinion tho...
  13. I have a Z in Forza, rb26 swap, around 700hp, burns out at 150mph to hard to control and race tho ahahha
  14. they are still lookin new, a little heat scarring on the edges but thats expected in 90-100 degree weather. Good dry tire, Id buy them again for the price in a heartbeat.
  15. Ill be back home in Oregon City by March of next year, hopefully with megasquirt and a couple small:icon10: bolt ons added.... Let us know if you need anything, definitly good roads in Oregon that I miss, now that im in Arizona... Good find!!!

  20. Im all for megasquirt but if its possible to make the harness and get everything figured out to be able to put it in the car and then tune it in like a week or two weeks time then Ill go for it
  21. I was thinking about going with megasquirt but my Z is my daily driver...YES DAILY DRIVER!! I want a plug and play unit so I dont have to have my car down for a good amount of time. I found a dealer that can get me a FC here in a weeks time and for a fairly good price.. Im not gonna push the time anymore its not worth it. I want to get this next so I have full control over my engine and I want to know whats going on. Im more concerned about getting my engine running perfectly before looks. I could get my front air dam, 240 bumpers, and a full seal kit for the price of a ECU but having my car as a daily driver I want to be able to have software to see how my engine is running. I have heard a lot of good things about the FC and I will be getting the datalogit software soon after I get the ECU installed.
  22. Update.....I cant get power fc here in a week. End price to my door will be around $1050. Advice would still be apprieciated
  23. Alright some of you may know that I want to go Power Fc. Well its not working out because I cant find a power fc for a series 1 RB25DET. The only way I can get one is to wait 4-8weeks and pay $1,000 strait from Japan:cry2: and in my opinion I dont think its worth it for a discontinued unit thats becoming more and more rare. So here is my question.... I did some searching and went to Haltechs website and their products look very professional and looks like you can do a lot with them. However, for $1300 they are slightly out of my price range. I could wait and go with that set up but I will be starting a fuel and ignition class next week and wanted to be able to go through and tune my car as I go through the class. If I could get any advice from you RB guys on other options other then power fc for my application that would be great. Price range as of now is $800-$1000. But if I cant get anything soon enough for the class then I will read up more on the Haltech and go with them at the start of this summer.... I know its not good to rush but its getting close to that time for tuning so Im getting excited ofcourse! What I want out of the system: Run a map sensor. Be able to have full tuning control over fuel and ignition. Plug and play unit. Base map. Real time tuning would be a defenite advantage. Mods I will be doing....Greddy intake, gt30 or gt35r (havent decided yet), injectors, new intercooler set up, etc.... so basically bolt on stuff. I am really interested in this type of work and will hopefully be doing this sort of stuff after school, tuning, diagnostics, driveability, dyno tuning...Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you Car will be used for Drift, time attack, auto cross, and drag for fun.
