  1. when did they jump from $275-$300 to $450?
  2. tfreer85 maybe... if you get a motorset in perfect cond. and don't have to repair/ replace anything on it. remember, these motors, 9 times out of 10 are mis represented when sold, as being a " 45,000 mi" motor.
  3. I will.... (estimated) at least $18,000 so far, and counting....
  4. this is actully a 88SE VLSD diff. I didn't use the outter portion of the axles anyway. James had me a set made up to use this diff in my 260z.
  5. that was courtesy of UPS, and their fine service....
  6. not much help, but is this the shaft you have?
  7. all n1s have steel wheels, although only r34 have ball bearings. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62632
  8. There isn't a chance in hell I'm cutting a hole in my new dash.... I went today and bought all the material, traced out the holes, cut the material, then dropped everything off at my step moms to sew the visor mod all up. I bought some thin padding, diamond stich padded black cloth, and some spray adhesive, all for $15. It will come out very trick, and I will take the pics when finished.
  9. I really wish I could come up with a CF dash pod kinda like this, which fit well on our dash... Dash gauge pod
  10. This is an option I'm going with. I will have the two visors re covered with black strechable material so the backside will kinda form around/over the gauge wires, and it won't be that noticable when in the up position. I liked the looks of that visor setup in the RB26 in a 240sx video link I posted in the obove post. It places several gauges out of the way until needed. We'll see how it turns out. After all, the visors are dime a dozen...
  11. My thought would be some jacka$$ would cruise by and try to twist them off for himself...
  12. Thanks guys. I watched a video the other day that showed a car with some gauges applied into his sun visor that looked trick. He just flipped it down to see them, and had the wires hidden nicely. Check it out here>> RB26 in a 240sx
  13. Hi all, I'm trying to decide where and what order to place my new gauges in my new dash. I need your opinions on which gauges you would place where. If it were you, which would you feel were the most important gauge you'd want in what spot. I have 6 I'm working with: oil temp oil pressure water temp dual channel EGT fuel pressure Boost These are all electrical gauges, so the sensors are not a problem. Please give me your best shot, so I can try to make a decesion and fasten them down for good... I realalize I'll have to try and put 2 of them in a pod or make up something, like in my sun visor or something. I want to keep my air con/ heater controls, so the center panel is off limits.. 14. If he want $600 for it, try to get it for less. Either way, I think any 1st gen Z is worth $600. You can buy it for whatever you can get him down to, then if it turns out to not be the car you want to invest into, you can use mostly any good part on it on any other Z you may find. If its the early 260, I'd buy it for $600. You can make that back easy in parts you don't use for another Z you may buy, plus its ALLWAYS handy to have a parts car around....
  15. Lookin mighty fine there Mike!! I hope to see it up close one day in the near future...
  16. Oh, well in that case, yes. I will be using my Tec2 standalone.
  17. Well, James finally made a move on making my 321ss TT manifolds He got started last evening, and looks good so far. I'll let him continue to post update pics and coments as it progresses... EDIT: MORE PICS THROUGH OUT THIS THREAD
