  1. Don't feel bad. It never has worked for me.....
  2. Now this would scare the life out of anyone walking up on this guy.... 18.2 ft long j.
  3. I found this in just 0.55 seconds. try other words, there may be more info... it should have the answer in there somewhere.. http://forums.hybridz.org/search.php?searchid=89735
  4. Is there a way to trace his address from this ph # ?? j
  5. Matt, Jamie: nubee question here... Does just having the OS grearset alone, make the RB25det trans able now to withstand the HP we want to put thru it ??
  6. I just bought mine from this Ebayer... I'd email him and see what he can do for you. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7967664868&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 j.
  7. Can You please re link this link, it says the bookmark is no longer valid... thanks- j.
  8. Can anyone tell me which model Z came with the inboard flanges on the axles, that have 5 bolts ? The inboard stubs that plug into the diff have 5 bolts and seperate from the axles at the wheel side, and the diff side.... They are kinda a 5 point star shape.
  9. Very nice!! I have heard/ seen the name R.I.P.S thrown around alot on the Skyline forums, and its obvious why. The TB is also a work of art!
  10. The 4 bolt axles I refernced above were from the white 88ss VLSD. I did not know they were different at the wheel end also. We all know about the diff end stubs being special for that unit only...
  11. The 88 turbo shafts have the 4 bolt pattern. I'd say that the 84 does also....
  12. I just did some more poking around with the two flywheels, and discovered that the R33 Rb26 clutch and preasure plate are 250mm. The spline count are the same between the Z and the RB.
  13. I was out in my shop fiddling when my eye caught the two flywheels I had leaning against the wall. One is from my R33 GT-R motorset, and the other is from a 76 280z 2+2 parts car. I got to comparing them and found them to be almost exact. The RB flywheel has one dowel pin in the back of the crank, but that is no biggie. Either drill for one, or don't use it, depending which your going to use where.... The backside reveals that the RB flywheel looks to be much lighter in weight, so this could be a good reason to use it, if any... Anyhoo, just thought I'd throw this out here for the masses... 14. I think he must of just realized he is.... the auction has been canceled.
  15. I sent him this >> "Hello, it is very unlikely that is a 3:36 ratio because of very few ever being used in the US, but if you will confirm the stamped numbers on the ring gear, I will buy this diff from you, or bid until I win it. Other than looking with your own eyes, I would not be advertizing that as a 3:36, just by spining the shafts and counting the turns. The 3:54 is to close to a 3:36 to tell that way. You really need to remove the rear cover and read the numbers, that will end all speculation, as I'm sure your getting many emails from doubters on the ratio. If it is indeed a 3:54, they are a dime a dozen, so you might just make a bad deal selling that as a 3:36 w/o knowing for sure. I'm not trying to disrespect you here, just trying to save everyone possible grief... thank you" Here is his reply I just received: "coming at youon th ring gear is 39 teeth 3.90 :1 i will have to pull the diff i pulled cover off the diff pin =10 ring = 39 thanks"
  16. By all means, go pick one up locally if they have one in stock. The last guys I know of wanting these had to wait, and wait, and wait............ You may be paying close to the same price when all said and done, but atleast you know where there is a set right now.
  17. Can you imagine what the insides may look like if that Z it came out of was submerged up to the diff, as it appears to have been?? I sent him a polite email explaining how important it is to know for sure what the ratio is, when you say you have a 3:36. I asked him to open it and look for himself at the numbers on the ring gear. If he is relying on spinning the pinon, and counting the turns, it can fool the not so experinced into believing a 3:54 is a 3:36.... Ya know what I'm talkin bout?
  18. WoW... that is one awesome machine. More Pics Here
  19. If I were to put together another Z car L6 motor, and especialy if I were going to run it above normal Z car redline, I'd be buying a ATI damper.... My problem I think had alot to do also with it being a LD28 crank, and being spun to 7,300 rpm with a air con belt being used...
  20. I have had several of them seperate due to the rubber failing. Alot of my issues may have been due to me attaching a sensor trigger wheel to the back side, for use of my Tec 2 ecu.
  21. I've used Redline in my trans, and in my diff. You can get it thru Summit or Jegs, delivered to your door. I would love to try the Amsoil, but its the locating it that has kept me from it...
  22. Good deal, you won't regret that purchase...
