  1. humm... I like it.. Also, I like the competion it brings into the Z car parts arena...
  2. I think you can if you keep them paired up as they came out, but why would you go thru that when you can just get the gear ratio R200 you need real easy? Just asking...
  3. Thats good to hear.... everything turned out good with the install. Can you snap a pic or two? I want to do something along those lines, and would really dig a few pics if you could. thanks joel
  4. Yes, the ears have to be cut off, or trimmed way down for the motor/trans to go in together. At least it did with my early 260. I remember finding that out the hard way..... I had to lower the tail shaft back down to the floor, so that I could cut the ears off. Then I just tied a wire around the trans, and up thru the shifter hole, I braced it up with a 12" piece of rebar. Once James got to working on it, this is how it turned out.
  5. I just loaded a video of a 240 doing a wheel stand. Its in the photo area/ videos... I don't know whos Z this is, but the Vid was on this site before. [/url]http://album.hybridz.org/data/509/8113240z_doing_wheelstand.wmv
  6. Hey J, there are some pretty lenghty posts on the Ausie RB sites in the archives, if you feel like searching for them... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=8 http://forums.skylinesdownunder.co.nz/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=10
  7. So Jamie, did you end up grabbing that HKS oil pump? I just bitt the bullet and bought a Greddy/Trust oil pump. All this talk about motor going boom, made me re acess my reliability... I have everything else in/on this motor to make it a monster.... I might as well cover its a$$ with a good oil pump. It just had a new Nissan oil pump and water pump, but I went ahead and got the N1 water pump to make sure this sucker last a few hundred miles at least... It means I will have to pull the front back off the motor, to swap out these parts, but hey... thats what makes this so much fun, right...?? Since the motor has never been started, it shouldn't be to messy.
  8. If no one has ever changed the diff in it, I would say yes, you have a LSD in her. The fastest way for you to check it is, jack up the rear (both rear wheels) and spin a wheel. If they both spin the same direction, you gotta LSD. If one does not spin, or if one turns the oppisite way, you have a open diff..
  9. That is a problem. I did the same thing yesterday, some one saying to look at COZY Z's album, to see his front end spoiler. Their is no way for us to go directly to a members album, without either having a link to it, or having to enter their name into the search engine in the members link. I wish there was a members tab added to the pull down menu for albums/classified/etc.
  10. Not sure if what you need is in this thread, but it should help. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=90068
  11. Good news Jamie. Are those a direct bolt on replacement for the stockers? Did you buy them from, rhdjapan, japanpartsspecialist, or....?
  12. Hey, anyone out there have a source to buy a ATI damper for the RB26, below retail ? Please... do tell..
  13. Thats a sweet way to do it Matt. I guess mine did not line up perfectly to the oem welded ears in the trans tunnel because of using different motor mounts, don't you think? Are you using the Z31 motor mounts in that car, or others ? thanks joel
  14. I'll be there............... l l l l l V next time
  15. Yep Jamie, thats the one. That motor died a horrible death, that wasn't only caused by detonation. It was beat down to the ground in every possible way.. I just may remove my head once I get the car back from James, and finish off my head work by removing the intake pad. Thats the only thing I did not do...
  16. Here is a pic of a 26 head where the removal of the pad may have helped this motor live longer....
  17. There are the correct stainless valves for the P90 head out there in Z land, if thats all your after.... I know a few folks here on this board that have monster turbo L6's, using the P90 with custom stainless valves, so they are available...
  18. Stony, as Jamie said, they are the Garret BB GT25r which they call the 25/40 in some literatures I've seen. All I know is they will flow more air than my motor can use at this point. And they should spool up to full boost fairly quick...
  19. It's a shame, but it will be my daily driver once again (I miss my daily driver Z..) and will only see the boot to the floor on a once in awhile occasion. The last set up I had in it allowed me to use it as my driver, so I feel/ hope it can still be that. I never even raced a single car on the street with the last stroker turbo motor I had in it. Its just going to be there, if ya know what I mean.... just lurking.... There is still a ton of work to go, on my part, once I get it back, before I can put it back on the road. Its turned out to be a larger project than I thought is was going in. (EDITED for spelling)
  20. This is a email responce I received back from a guy about re plating mine. I'm not sure if he's still around' date=' but worth a email if you want to see... EDIT: forgot to add that his price was $60 at that time
  21. You know, I'm just going off what the masses have done. If you think about it though, thats the way most oem set ups are, but I'll let the folks that understand sheer loads chime in on this, as I'm a lame when it comes to that.... oopps, I ment to say layman.....
  22. They look nice from this angle . Are they recessed on the other side for the companion flange? Thats the part I would be concerned of if not...
