  3. ah haa.... I finally heard of another person discovering what I discovered, two different stub axles in their 260z!! I thought I was going nutts when I found a 240 stub, and a 260 stub in my 260. I have to bring up the fact again that their are three different spline counts/stubs in the early z cars....

  7. This answer would totally depend on your set up. I personally chose to dump mine strait into the atmo, because of it being the simplier of the two choices. I've had it both ways, and prefer this way. It's not all that loud...
  8. I now have the Autometer electical tac in my dash, so putting the speedo would just finish up the pair... So are you saying the Autometer speedo works with "most" trans with the elect speedo sensor?
  9. I will be using a RB25 trans without a speedo cable like the 240 trans has, as their is only a electronic sensor on it. What are my options? Anyone solved this issue?? thanks joel

Their have been lots of members step up and send in some donations to help out with the expences, which is great so far, but it looks to me like their a very few compared to the number of members. Come on guyz... where else can you go and get good info like here, without all the mostly guessing advice that is given on the other z sites. Most of the responces to answers here are high quality answers, from guys that know their z car inside and out. I don't think we have sponsers paying our way here like other sites, where you have to wade through pop ups, or other adds all over the pages. This is why they are asking for every ones help, that can, so that we continue to have this quality site to come to... So how bout it?? its simple, just send in any amount (every penny helps) that you can, and belive me you'll feel good about it once you do.... and thanks to the ones that already have...
  13. First off I have had my RB26 motor for 6 weeks and have yet to get a part for it here in the US. I need simple re build parts (bearings, gasket set, oil pump, water pump etc.) and have yet to get any of them. Thier are several people/ shops that claim they have the stuff, or can get it, but most of them are full of it... I'm waiting on all these parts right now from a guy in New Zeland (GTR Shop), since he's the only one I've been in contact with that can actually say he ordered the stuff for me... You will have a heck of a time finding anything for these motors here... and thats just for starters. You will need a RB25det trans, the Z32 trans is not a direct swap. Then their is the oil pan, among other things.. The turbo manifold is two seperate three bank pieces, that are exactly the same. I could not notice any difference in the manifolds or the turbos on my motor. I belive they both are the same spec, and operate at the same time equally... I have ditched the whole factory intake system, and the whole exhuast side of the motor in favor of a single custom plenum and twin GTr turbos on a stainless header that a member here is making up for me (SpeedshopThagard.com) and his name is James Thagard (240z Turbo). Their are a couple guys on this board that have completed the RB26 swap into their Z's, so maybe one of them will add something to this for you. This is just my opinion on your questions... good luck joel
  14. Thanks Lockjaw, think you could find out for me how much they'd charge for a set of six? I just read on Skylines Downunder, the RB26 rods are good to 700 hp with shootpeen and polish. Or pass their ph # on to me. I used to have it from when I drove down to them and wasted my money on a in shop dyno tune.... , but I don't have it anymore... thanks bud

  17. After thinking on it for a few, I think I will just go with THESE RODS. That way I won't have any second thoughts on " did I cover all the bases?" I already have a brand new set of JE's that I bought from yo2001, so I should be safe at say 30lbs of boost...

  19. I checked with a couple places that told me this is kinda a thing of the past. I don't belive that, all I need to do is just find a shop still doing it.
