  1. Hey Stony and Rick, can you guys clue me in on how to set up the new advanced settings in the analog out section? I'm using the analog out #2 to feed my signal to my TEC2, and it never showed the same afr's as the TEC2. I think this advanced feature was put in there to make it possible to slow down the sample rate and be able to adjust voltage out. I just don't have any idea what to enter into the warm up voltage / error voltage Could / would one of you guyz take a look at that feature and advise me on a good setting... I can't seem to get it set up right... thanks joel
  2. Very Nice !! Wish I wasn't so far away, I'd love to see it in person...
  3. Nice 260z, and I like the last pic too.... now I'm hungry...lol
  4. Rick, how are you getting your RPM values? Also can you clue me in on how to capure a screen shot? Looks like some of my datalogs... pig rich in some areas...
  5. I have found a 88 GN motor / trans with ecu, harness, all intake, I/C, driveshaft for $3,800. Is this a good price for all this? I'm pondering a swap, either the RB, 2JGTE, or this GN. What are your thoughts.... thanks joel
  6. The rb26's I've seen were with cut harness and/or no ecu. Would it be possible to use my TEC2 off my L6 to run the rb ? I see what your saying about going the best to start with. If I would have done that in the begining with my L6 build, I'd have the money to buy a rb26 ... I've always done things the long and hard way, so I'll take your advice. If you were to be looking which engine to do a swap again, and had your pick of the 2JGTE or the RB26, would you still go RB? Would it be less fabricating to do the RB than the 2JGTE? Also, what do you think of the auto trans that came on the 2JGTE? The units going on ebay are mostly auto. thanks once again for your input joel
  7. Does anyone know if this is due to complications from his drag racing crash??
  8. you guys might be on to something with the tuning part. I drive around in my 260 turbo, and play with my Tec2 programable ecu, and I can change the afr in any rpm while driving, and it does make a differnce. I can lean it out and make it start burning my eyes in no time (don't remember if it was leaning out or richening it up that caused the smell) but that goes to show that the tuning can and will affect exhaust smell. just sumthin to think on.... good luck.. joel

  14. Get this... I've been getting parts/cars from this yard on a trade out basis for years now. Trade the owner a mirror job in his house for whatever I want. So I see this 91 810 wagon, bodys shot, but drivetrain is clean, L24,5 spd, so I work out a trade. I go to pick it up fri after I grt the call, it's out and ready for pick up. I get there and the first thing I see is a chunck of alum broke off the rear yoke seal, and the seal is gone. The nitwit drops the motor/trans on the tail shaft cause the strap gives out, and it breaks the output shaft seal tail housing. To boot, the rear tail splined shaft now has a wobble in it when turned. BIG QUESTION: is this thing worth swaping out the rear tail shaft? have a few of them. The Alum tail cover seems to be a no brainer, its the splined shaft that I'm not to sure of... Keep in mind, this is all for almost free... especialy since I now have the upper hand... Whatcha think???
  15. The 81 wagon I was going to snatch the gearbox from had a reg. lookin type rear end (strait axle) no IRS in that one...
