  1. In my experience, I will only use the USPS to mail a letter. Their "tracking service" is comical....
  2. You will need a 70-83 trans to bolt up to you L6 motor, unless you have a adapter plate made. If you are going to go through the adapter method, I'd go with the Z32 5 spd swap. The parts are avail (look in the drive train section for kits for sale) to mate that trans with a adapter plate. Your best bet would be to just find a 280z/280zx 5 spd, that way its a direct bolt on w/o the use of a adapter plate, and they are very common trans.
  3. That would make one badda$$ 2jz or rb26 rocket on wheels...
  4. I got 21.5 inches from the flat portion on the rear cover where the two large bolts that the mustache bar, or rear mount mates to, and to the drive shaft flange mating surface (all long nose R200's are the same length)
  5. The CF hood I have put up looks great too. I would be concerned though, if I were to put both these parts next to each other on the car, if the CF pattern/color would match up exact. The hood I have was purchased a few years ago from them off eBay (for $320.00 delivered BTW). I would hope they use the same material to make all their CF pieces...
  6. I made a offer of $259 and received a counter offer for $319...
  7. Do a search for user TimZ, he posted some bada$$ pics showing side exit exhaust pipes...
  8. They look great.... I knew you could do it...
  9. I suspect I'd find the same results if I were to put a mic to mine. I have the same set up with the same issue when warm.... Where did you pick up your new rotors? Do you mind revealing what you paid for the pair?
  10. Dave, I admire your talent for designing these great mods to the Z car... If I lived close to you, I'd gladly pay you to do these cool things to my ride!
  11. Sorry about that guys.... I got beat on that deal, plain and simple. I thought it was such a good deal for the price at the time, I jumped on it, even though I had no use for it. I figured I'd let someone have it for pretty much nothing, and did end up just giving it to JT just for him helping me with storing it. I will try and find the sellers contact info (if I still have a old email) and ruffle his feathers over that junk motor he dumped on me....
  12. I have a spare trans saved up that looks exactly like the RB25t trans, but it has a speedo cable drive on it instead of the electronic one. I think it's a Z31t trans
  13. They are in a thread I started on rbZ32.com http://www.rbz32.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=569
  14. Couple more I took today. I pulled the e46 BMW hid set up and put the Acura TL bi xenon hid projector set up on. I did these a little differently. Can you spot the different look?
  15. Because I'm retarded..... I have a bad habit of buying stuff I don't really need. I impulse buy when I see a good deal come my way. Do you remember just a few weeks ago what I bought....? hmm uhh lets see.... (hint) another f-ing single manifold!! As if I need two single manifolds... What started me on this trip, was I'd like to make the engine compartment less packed, and a bit cooler.
  16. Thanks Gabe. I may end up with a better power band and still have more hp than I need with a T3...
  17. The best solution is to have it skimmed, then use a genuine Nissan turbo manifold gasket. After numerous leaks, I finally did that, what was recommended to me, and never had another manifold leak issue. I have heard of guys having it skimmed, then using copper coat sealant w/o a gasket.... your choice.
  18. I thought the same thing, but received this message back from the actual builder of these manifolds...
  19. Well... I can look at this two different ways, I got a great manifold for the price, or I got stiffed. This manifold was advertised as a T4 flanged manifold. I did not pay enough attention to the pic showing the flange, so I gobbled up the deal. Its a T3 flange. I guess I could sell it, or I can get a T3 based turbo that would give me all I want out of the motor, which is not alot really, compared to what most build their RB26 to HP wise. I'm back to trying to figure out a good streetable, low/mid boost, quick spooling, now T3 turbo... What do you think... sell it, or keep it?
  20. My "low cost" pair just arrived today. It's the $159.00 a pair, "free shipping" deal. They still charge $24 shipping, even though it's "free"
  21. Awesome stance..... oh, and everthing else too.
  22. I just use 94 oct premium pump. The actuators on my turbos are adjustable, but I can't seem to get above 18 lbs of boost, and that's using a HKS EVC easy. I guess I need to try and tighten up on the threaded actuator arms, maybe I can get more boost that way. I have a HKS 60mm racing w/g to use with that new manifold, so I know I won't have boost control issues with what ever new turbo I end up choosing. I think 18 to 22 lbs would be the norm for me.
  23. What about this gem... http://store.forcedperformance.net/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=FP&Product_Code=NTGT3582HTA
  24. There is a member here on this board selling crank collars to address the short oil pump drive on the early r32 rb26dett motor. He is selling a rear head drain fitting also, that allows the oil to return to the pan more efficiently.
