  1. Recived a reply from mike on the cam I'd suggest my part# R79421A-80412-108 265/271@ .050" .421"/412" Lobe Lift 108 LSA You'll need about a 4,500rpm stall. This will make peak HP @ 7,000rpm, and you can shift as high as 7,400rpm. BTW i have 1.7 rockers thus sounds reasonable to me, what do yall think?
  2. wow that looks great, i might do this as well, but leave the stock rails in? would be too much of a pain to remove. are you going to do anything elce to tie the end of the rail into where it ends?
  3. Yup: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/104397-383-280z/
  4. You are on the right track, Id try placing a volt meter in the CSV an see if it gets signal, but try searching the site. lots of info to be found.
  5. Thats what kept me from doing my swap for so long dam california laws, thats why i love TX.
  6. Thanks all post some more pics when i get back.
  7. Its the TTT backing plate, with the Z31 dust shield/ebrake with a Z32 Hub with the tab cut off.
  8. sweet build man im subcribed, must be nice that you dont have to SMOG it eh?
  9. yeah i have pics in my build post "383 280Z" dont really have a good pic of the brakes but this is what i got. Keep in mind this it with the TTT set up but you can use an adapter to use the Z32 setup.
  10. You could always cap it that’s pretty much the norm, or dash restoration companies you’re looking at $800-1000. But you should try searching this topic first it’s been answered before.
  11. 700Hp is where I should be at all said and done and with my bottom end won’t be afraid to put a 150-200 shot on it. As it sits now with 275 drag radials the best 60 I’ve gotten was 1.8 pretty sad but I’m woken on it. Thanks for the complement and good luck to you as well can’t wait to see more build pics, this site is whats keepin me alive over here haha.
  12. ^ haha that is a sweet poster. I swaped in a R230 because i figured if im going to swap a diff anyways why not get strengh and reliability along with the lsd but looks like it wasent needed.
  13. I have an 05 350Z, obviously the trade wouldent be strait across but i am interested in buying the car outright PM me.
  14. ^^ All of the above and try to find a car that’s in good condition to start with, spending extra time/ money to buy a decent car is better than getting a fixer upper and it nickel and dimming you to death. (although to some that’s half the fun)
  15. you think the AXB bars would braise that bend but i can see how it would offer support, and if its required then there ya go. With my idea it would be almost imposible to get out he passenger side qickly, i see now your doing this on bouth sides. I dont see why tech would give you a hard time. The original idea is the way to go, all shut up now
  16. I have the Z 32 brakes out back in my Z they work great I'm sure the R33 brakes are even better Way more than efficient to stop a light car IMO id spend my money elsewhere.
  17. 1985, it’s just an adapter that screws into the intake of the SBC then you install the Datsun temp sensor. Nothing special made out of brass looks like any other adapter.
  18. I would go for the Z06 as well, if you buy a lower option car you always spend more money making it into something it’s not rather than just buying the model you should have, still love the idea of taking the Ls motor out when you’re done with it. I have driven many E36.46 M3’s love the handling/feeling but don’t ever think I would own one due to Mx issues. S2000 are fun too but if it came down to it the Z06 can’t be beat for performance/money. If it where me I would have to save my pennies for the C6 Zed.
  19. I'm no cadge builder but FWIW i think that bar wouldent make a huge differance, looks like you dont plan on useing the pass seat so, for your consideration:
  20. Sweet build man, im in the Ft hood area would love to drive up an see it one of these days.
  21. HAHAHAHA that almost brought me to tears, lol id say a good 95% of evry post above describes me to the T ... your GF/Wife stopps comeing in the gradge because she knows shell get sucked into holding, pumping, turing some part on your Z. ...you get a wiff of anything on the road that could come from a car and asume its always you.
  22. i have a complete set up that i pulled out of my 280 for the R230 setup but i whont be back until april
  23. Be shure to let us know what you find good luck!
  24. There are 2 different sensors for the ECT one each for gauge and ECU and the modules are fairly intermittent but can throw you for a loop.
