  1. I remember that Craigslist ad, I did not put 2 and 2 together, until after you posted the pic of the Craigslist ad. The ad was mis-representing for sure. But I am glad you are going to save the car. Regards - Yasin
  2. Wow..pretty cool...but would prefer if it was not all one piece.

  4. LOL...that is totally priceless and classic and VERY '80s...the 200SX next to it was cool too. Thanks for that link. Yasin
  5. Where in CO are you? I have a '78 280Z that I bought early this spring. I am slowly (like you) addressing the rust on it. My rear 1/4s are in better shape than yours but I rewelded the floors and sections of the upper frame rail. My car is finally structurally sound and the frame, floor work is almost all done. I rescued the car after it had been sitting for 15years and was going to be crushed. I did not pay much for it. I spent many evenings on the brakes and the getting the engine healthy and reliable and it runs very well and shifts well too. Ironically my car was recently featured in Classic Cars magazine. I also have a 280ZX Turbo that is completely disassembled (working on it as well). Regards and good luck, you have ALOT of work on your hands. I would be careful with that sunroof opening, I have seen many Z's rot from rainwater coming into the interior from these sunroofs and that could explain your electrical issues. If you do not own a MIG I recommend buying one, especially to weld up your rockers and the rear 1/4s. Bondo I would not recommed for anything structural like the rockers or even your rear 1/4s. Regards - Yasin

    Porsche

Allow me to chime in here, as I own a 911 Turbo from this particular generation of 911 (i.e 1975-1989) – this is the first Gen. 911 Turbo cars from Porsche. Firstly if it is a widebody with steel flares front and rare, the “turbo badge in black†on the rear trunk lid and a boost gauge built into the tach like this: It is more than likely a genuine Turbo built factory car. There are many converted cars out there as well and Turbo look alikes as well that are normally aspirated. Many Turbo cars had eventual failures of the factory and rather old technology KKK 3LDZ turbo and some owners converted them over to Superchargers which was OK, as you get the low compression motor to play with. There is no way that car had a Turbo AND a Paxton supercharger….if it does…I will change my name to PeeWee Herman and wear a dunce cap! FYI, if this car is factory Turbo Targa, it is very rare as most Turbo cars were Coupes with a smaller percentage being convertibles and an even smaller percentage being Targas. Hope that helps Good luck! Regards - Yasin
  13. I am also actually considering the 135 as well, when it comes out. The price is very fair, funny thing is you can buy a slightly used E55 AMG for the same money and that is a Supercharged V8 with almost 500hp.... at $30K-$35K you get some pretty awesome opportunities in the used car field (I am talking 2-3years old still under manufacturer's warranty). 14. I like it too, in fact it is beautiful A few questions: 1) Cost - ball park 2) What throttle body is this designed to run? 3) What throttle linkage is this designed to use, I see no supporting ears for either a new cable linkage or the OEM shafts with ball and socket 4) Do you drill and tap it for fittings accordingly? Yasin
  15. Enjoy...great video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLA-GzU5uJk Yasin

  22. I agree whole heartedly with Brian. I have had cousins that have owned RX2s over the years and they are one of THE most handsome cars to EVER come from Japan. They established Mazda as a serious car builder as it was the first heavily mass produced Sports car by Mazda (more so than the R100 and Cosmo with the 10A rotary). Getting interior or exterior parts is absolutely impossible today. Current owners buy them and hoard the parts as they are so damn rare. Complete non running even rusty cars on eBay hit an easy $1500+. I looked for a RX2 for myself many years ago and gave up as I did not want a Bondo junker and the real jems were bringing BIG $$. I admire them all the time. A TRUE timeless classic. If I came across one in good condition, I would see my S30 and buy it. The 4door versions are ugly compared to the Coupes. Yasin
  23. Dang I love it!!!! You put a humbling in his pie....HAHA! Beauti-muss maximus. Yasin
