  1. Very rare that your typical monthly car mag has a special feature on something old and Japanese...but the latest Autombile mag - Jan 2007 has a nice 2page feature on the 510 as a "Collectible Classic", there is reference to Mr. K, the L series and the 240Z in the article as well. It also features a great layout and article on the BMW 2002Tii, which is a car that has a special place in my heart. Worth picking it up!! This is the cover: The 510 article: Yasin

  3. So I am curious why would you even bother using a Mazda 626 Intercooler? I run an oil cooler on my car that is bigger than that Mazda IC! Do yourself a favor and size your intercooler appropriately to the L6...do it once, do it properly. There are way too many nice and inexpensive eBay IC to pass on them. And to answer your question 2" or 2.25" will easily support 400hp. Yasin
  4. Tony - I have heard lots about this S130...please make your album public...PLEASE...PRETTY PLEASE! Yasin
  5. Alan - Thanks for the reply....mine gets bigger every day too...LOL Tony - Great reply too. Yasin
  6. Alan - Yes the book is Fairlady Z File - great eyes! My confusion lies in the fact that the exterior appearance of the this 280ZX Turbo is identical to the RHD JDM brethren, specifically the front and rear factory spoilers? Regards - Yasin

  10. WOW...what an absolutely stunning car....my gosh....please some more specs on it please. The yellow 240Z that your car is posing with is one of my favs as well. BEAUTIFUL. Yasin

  12. Tony - You're right....I was a "stay at home tonight loser", so ended up doing some research for a few hours tonight. I have LOTS of Japanese Nissan brochures and actual books and none stated that the L28ET was produced for any RHD chassis platform for the local market. The only Turbo L series (6cyl.) was the L20ET as previously mentioned by Tony, it was 145hp and 152ft.lbs of torque. What I did decipher is a few LHD L28ET 280ZX Turbo cars made into the local market and were sold locally in Japan and they were identical in spec hp and torque to the U.S cars. Externally these LHD L28ET cars were nicely dressed in the authentic JDM exterior. Here are some pics from my Research: Here is side by sidebreakdown of the L20E vs L28E vs L20ET: Two Genuine RHD beautiful JDM L20ET 280ZX Turbos: A rare LHD L28ET but JDM 280ZX Turbo: Thanks for setting me straight TonY! 13. Very nice! The wheels are CCW - Completely Custom Wheels. Florida does not need emissions - luckily. Do you have documentation on the close ratio 5speed. The reason I say this as the Close Ratio gear sets were around $2500-$3000 to buy without having to pay someone reputable to actually build the tranny with them. Also I hope he gave you documentation on the engine rebuild that you can share. How does it run? Please post some engine pics! Awesome car. Yasin
  14. Tony - Lets compare notes....you might be right....! But worth checking into! Want to put a wager on it...LOL? Yasin
  15. Man he rowed through four gears....VERY impressive....! Yasin
  16. FWIW...the KA TB is 60mm not 70mm. Also Tial no longer makes a 40mm Wastegate, so either you have a larger 41mm or an older 40mm? Your turbo specs are very sketchy..."the biggest mapped one"??? Yasin
  17. Nope, L28ET were available in Japan....they were just very rare and many were Auto.
  18. Or you can buy these gorgeous 15" Nissan wheels that will bolt right up, perfect offset and bolt hole spacing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320057696742&rd=1,1 Yasin
  19. Coool vid....alot of amazing automation in their process! Yasin
  20. Interesting swap...I am liking it....I have always loved the SA22 FB RX7...my favorite of all generations, and they always needed a Turbo and Torque which is why the Savanna Turbo was created in 1981. If the rack swap is tricky, cutting the oil pan switching the sump location and then making a custom pick-up is not bad...I had to do it when I put the FJ20 in my old Datsun truck. Go for it! Yasin
  21. Here is my old set-up, IC is the Isuzu NPR mid size and 2.25" and 2" piping (the new set-up is 2.5" piping and a much larger more efficient IC): Yasin
  22. Great question....the CarTech Turbo kit struggled to make 350whp with three sidedrafts. Yasin
  23. BTW...mike321go...you have a very EERIE user name! Yasin
