  1. Awesome! Very inspiring and excited to see the progress. Yasin
  2. As it turned out Eddie did not ever serve any jail time and all charges were dropped for zero supporting evidence. During the investigations he lost his big sponsor with Toyo Tires though. Yasin
  3. Regulatori makes some fantastic points and I support everything he says. The 3.0L in the SC makes for an extremely reliable car, these same engines unmodified have made the Paris to Dakar rally. Shows how really robust they are, try that in a 300ZX TT! LOL...200K miles is easy...Porsche loves FRESH oil BTW!!! Really the 300ZX is a spendid car and even though they are the same price, they are a million worlds apart. To be truly honest I am a Porsche 911 owner and lover and if I had to choose between a 300ZX TT and a 911SC I would honestly choose the 300ZX. Its modern, it had modern suspension and brakes and can be upgraded to be extremely fast without sacrificing reliability. The 300ZX is a pain to work on and the 911SC is far easier to wrench on. I can pull the engine in my 911 in 4-5hours by myself. And what people say about 911 Porsches being expensive, is not true. Everyday consumeables like tune up parts, brakes, etc etc, are cheap...same as owning any Nissan. Forum support for both are excellent - which is a bonus. So it comes down, to personal preference and which car makes you feel passionate, no forum could ever answer that, that comes from deep within your bowel. Once you drive a 911...it is simply addictive. Check http://www.pelicanparts.com, they are the largest Porsche forum in the US for sure and have an EXCELLENT selection of enthusiast pampered cars for sale, also check http://www.rennlist.com (the classifieds). Good luck. Yasin
  4. Just got the inside line, through some aquaintences in the industry. Eddie Bello is back and is ready to start where he left off many years ago before all the legal stuff happened to him. So the car will be seeing some fierce drag racing this year. His *new* white 964 is sponsored by HKS. It is running a pair of secret hybrid HKS turbos and a mosnter HKS intercooler. Last week, the car laid down 1154whp, he is selling this current complete engine for a more powerful set-up (!!), his asking price for the 1154whp engine complete is $50K. Here is the vid taken when the car laid down 670whp at 14psi: http://www.bellomotorsports.com/video/MVI_0608.avi The car has coilovers coming soon, so it is sitting high. The exhaust was redone a few times as it was very loud, hence the differing exhausts in the pics. Car has a 993TT rear spoiler on it. Here are the pics: Picture of Eddie: WOW!: Enjoy - Yasin
  5. Who is that freakin' idiot...! Urrrrr....that video bothered me... Yasin
  6. Absolutely absolutely stunning...I cannot imagine the time and $$$ that have been invested. Yasin
  7. My pleasure - glad to help! Sometimes the chain can be very tight once initially fitted and making a revolution or two with it mocked-up will "break-in" the slack needed. My best - Yasin
  8. Cool congrats..I will check it out.. Modified is an excellent mag...great cars, articles, photography and even paper quality. Yasin
  9. Did you try making a revolution or two by hand with the cam sprocket and the chain installed to see if it will pick-up the slack you need? Yasin
  10. So that is a NA car that has been converted to a turbo? The 4lug wheels give it away. Yasin
  11. Love the car modelling the wheels, but the wheels are not to my liking. Yasin
  12. I guess I might be the best one to answer this. I sourced three brand NEW FJ20 engines from Chowini Motorsports along with over $10K in go fast FJ goodies. All bought through Nissan in Japan this was back in the '80s when FJ stuff was available. I knew the owner of Chowini which was how I got these FJs in the first place. I sold one of these complete engines brand new with sidedrafts Mikunis and some trick Toda pieces on it to none other than Adam Corolla - host of the "Man Show". The other went to a very wealthy business man in New Jersey (last year) and the last went into my Datsun 720 pick-up, which had some very hot Nismo, HKS and Toda parts and it belted out around 225hp (conservative). My Datsun truck took 6years to build (!) but made three magazine features and is now owned by a Datsun Collector in So-Cal. Dave at Arizona Z-Car had one complete engine for sale (a used motor) but that found a new home and Nissan Motorsports had a whole bunch of FJ stuff around for sale in 1996/97 (I spoke with Chuck at Nismo many times about this stuff) when they raced the FJ in the stadium trucks and all those parts were scooped up really quickly by enthusiasts who were wise and knew that parts would be getting rare, they were pretty cheap too from Nismo! You can no longer get these engines from Nissan in Japan (that I know of anyway) and FJ stuff and interest in drying up really, the SR and the VEVK 4 cylinders are the new hot tickets on the street and track. If you currently look at Yahoo Japan Actions there is only a few auctions for FJ stuff and the odd high mileage beater engine, 5 years ago there was litterally pages and pages of FJ stuff on there, showing that interest has fallen dramatically. Australia is a great source for FJ stuff as it is a highly coveted engine there. BTW, give me and FJ over a SR anyday! Yasin
  13. WOW!....Absolutely stunning simply a work of art! Yasin
  14. Well what toys and goodies are you guys thinking about getting with your tax return? I know I am going to keep trucking forward with my engine rebuild on my ZX, boy its adding up. The rest I am going to put towards the house and updating it. Regards - Yasin
  15. That statement cracked me up!! If it makes you feel any better in the past 6years I have bought and sold many nice cars (think around 10!) including a killer AMG Mercedes, and three brutally quick AE86 Corolla GT-S' and the ONLY one I kept was my 280ZX..! It is my baybee. Speaking of which....here she is: From: To: Yasin
  16. Awesome bro....just simply dig it! WOW! Yasin
  17. Davy - Did Hoover open up http://www.turbohoses.com? If he must be doing quite well. John - Let me welcome you and once again say that..."your vision and determination" was VERY inspiring. I tip my hat off to you sir. Yasin
  18. I assume Roger Berry is "primadonna z" writing this great history? I thoroughlly enjoyed it and really was inspiring to read about Jack Atkinson and his incredible vision and determination to see the project through, especially when mostly done by hand and in the parking lot of his apartment building. You have no idea how these stories of young, determined guys just inspires me, the faded scanned pictures adds beautifully to the nostaligia too. I read and I re-read your story a few times....! Its a shame the red car is no where to be found. Yasin
