  1. So hard. I love vettes but they scream old man with issues to me. I think a nice Lotus Elise would be nice.
  2. Right peer pressure... You know you were a little curious!!!!
  3. How close to Winter Garden are you or Maitland? I have an older set I acquired for future use. Your welcome to borrow one for measurement sake and have a pair made locally. Heck there is a machine shop right down the street from me too.
  4. Dang man I'm glad your okay. What are the odds of driving and having a tree fall on you? Wow. I think your fair on your assement. You could probably get a lot more ebaying all the parts your self. Is there a rush to get rid of her? Space issue? Why not hang on for a bit. iIfyou find another one those parts may come in handy.
  5. And that price could be up or down of that. I'm leaning more towards the down. What is asking?
  6. Are you talking barn find or no rust, driving condition? Rust is the big factor.
  7. Yes you are right in your assumptions. Folks swap the 280zxt harness and ECU all the time. They have for years. Keep searching and reading.
  8. I would jump on google images and search for diagrams. You will be at the mercy of whomever came up with the diagram but it will get you started. This is one I stole off google images by searching for, "turbo vacuum line routing". Off course it would be helpful for you to learn all the theory and application of each component and get Corky Bell's book, Maximum Boost.
  9. The other thing to consider is the trailer is an investment. I would be hard pressed to imagine a 24' car trailer for $2k is nothing but cheap!! Fix it and flip it when you get back.
  10. Really? To me it seems like the basic concept of how to wire simple points distributor was unknown. That video really it explains it all. With all your great wisdom and knowledge why don't you go over and help him?
  11. No I'll will intended I've done stuff like this myself ... but why not add back what you cut out? It seems your answer is in the problem you created? You'll have to cut the harness back open and graft the wires back in.
  12. Hit borini63 up. I think he lives there in AZ and I'm sure he has one. He posted in the swastika center caps below.
  13. Man i hate that! I've sold so many things now going doh! I should have kept one at least! I'm not giving up my last CLSD that is for sure.
  14. Wow RIP. Well said Mikelly
  15. Thanks guys. Swung by my local dealer and ordered them.
  16. Thanks yeah I got the roll pin out and gear slid out. No dust shield. I think MSA was cheaper.
  17. So outer one no problem. The inside one is quite hard and I'm assuming the reason for my leak. Do I just cut it out with an exacto knife? Anyone find a source other than MSA? Just hate waiting on shipping.
  18. I just installed this and must say the install was breeze. Everything fit like a glove to their header on my 71. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic19k/15-6021 Only complaint was trying to find the center hanger for the exhaust. Ended up having to rig it a bit.
  19. On my stock 82 turbo, my car would run like crap, with bogging and no power intermittently. One day I bumped the harness plugged into the ECCU right next to my foot and the car came alive! I tried everything to clean the harness, connectors etc. to no avail, but when it would happen, I just simply pushed the connector again with my foot and bam, she ran great again.
  20. How much? My PM is full so post or email to datsunjeff@gmail.com
  21. Is yours missing? I ended up going to a locksmith and he matched an assortment of different locks I had to make a complete set for $40! I couldn't have been happier. If you have the hatch lock and it matched your doors, the door lock will have the number you need to have key remade by a locksmith. If you knew all this sorry I wasted your time.

    240z Air cleaner

Thanks Ed. Got it today. Appreciate it.
  23. Funny... I enjoy life now, but I enjoy the simpler aspect of the times in the 70's. I know there was a lot of turmoil then, but it just seems simpler. Maybe because I was a kid then!
