  1. Very nice. You seem to have quite a bit $$$ tied up in her!
  2. Doh, I missed the whole ECU side connectors. Not related to the hookup at all. Sorry about that.
  3. Wow, why in the world.... Seems to have some traction issues!
  4. Very good info for others regardless. I'm glad you posted this with the details you did and finally figuring it out on your own. Does that wire correspond to one on this diagram? Pin 9 that is.
  5. I've got this 78 280z that has some cancer spots. I won't be able to attend to them right away. My thinking though is to cut out as much of the cancer as I can so it won't continue. Is this good logic or just leave it alone. Off course once cut out I would at least prime the bare metal edges to provide some sort of protection.
  6. What are you wanting to spend? There was an 82 ZX in the JY today. 235K on the odometer. I was shocked the A/C was still charged. Anyway, I'm not sure what they charge but it didn't looked hacked in anyway. I wouldn't be able to pull until the weekend.
  7. You must be completely torn between throwing that old washer out and keeping it . For space, time and in my opinion, over all function, I don't think it would be a very good option. I'm quite sure GE didn't design the washer to withstand the harsh chemicals you would want to put it in it to clean your parts. Hybrid parts washer hmmm... there has to be a website for such endevors!
  8. Paul, would you do $30 shipped? What is your PayPal? Thanks, Jeff
  9. I've got a 78 I'm playing with. I need the AFM to TB Boot with the hole for Idle Control valve. Don't want 280zx. I'd also like to find a 240z Front Air Dam. Dont care if it is fiberglass or Urethane. Again, I would prefer local on the Front Air Dam. If you have a good shape Boot though, I don't mind paying shipping.
  10. I hate seeing this sit here, is there anything I could help you with? I'm in Orlando though?
  11. I think it is this: http://www.zcar.com/forums/690223/ascd-servo-valve Side note this had what looked more info on the swap too. http://zdriver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25014&highlight=turbo+swap
  12. I forget what that is called, it should be for the stock ZXT A/C. I don't think you need it. Gosh I wish I could remember what it is called.
  13. There is one on ebay now for an automatic. I know because I emailed him. The reserve is also at $60 because I asked that too!
  14. I was surprised how well the front bumper looked. I almost like them painted with the rubbers... almost.
  15. How I do it in the JY. Granted I don't care about the Rotor or bearings: 1. Remove the Caliper 2. Remove the Cap, Cotter, pin and bearings, then pull off the rotor and hub assembly 3. Flip over and remove the rotor bolts completely 4. Place rotor and hub back on car with bearing in place; hand snug the nut 5. 5LB hammer and usually 1 wack and that rotor pops right off I don't know why you can't do the same process, but use a rubber mallet.
  16. Only the 88 Shiro came with the VLSD. The CLSD came in the late 87, Standard 88 and 89 Turbos. You'll be hard pressed to get one from an 89 based on the numbers. The 88 Shiro's are very rare as well. http://www.az-zbum.com/information.production.shtml http://z31.com/misc/info/ss/
  17. Why is his statement inaccurate? I think every aspect he says is true about the bumper. That front valance /air dam is very light, does help with aerodynamics and looks much better than the stock bumper.
  18. Sure don't, but good luck on the job search.
  19. Look at it differently. Hook the car up with the ZX harness, coil, AFM, ECU, etc. Anything remaining from the stock 280z eliminate.
  20. So where in FL are you moving to?
  21. I was dumb enough to start smoking at 33, and just finally quit at 40. My quit date is 12/29. Anyway, I had MAJOR withdraws. I was shocked. Very dizzy, headaches and couldn't think strait. I even took some days off work. Quiting the second time with smoking aid was much more helpful. I still could go for a smoke even now. Good luck.
