    Got the car to the was and got 5 years of dirt and junk off the car and its first vacuuming ever I think. So no more rubber bands and nastiness. Only bad thing to come out of the wash is now the head light do not work now so I will just add that to the list.I did get my first round of parts in and more are on the way.

    Got some more pics of the car yesterday, ya its a bit rough but for a grand I am not mad. You can see some of the rubber bands I have not got to yet, The weather is said to be nice this up coming weekend so the car will get a good cleaning and a new battery and I will see what it looks like under the 5 years of dirt. One thing I have noticed is how much lower it sits than my 280 Z's look good low.

    Got the car home Friday and cleaned it out it had so much trash in it you could not see the passenger floor board or cargo area, and had more rubber bands in it then I have ever seen anywhere. All the carpet was trashed so I pulled 90% of it out. and was planing on taking it to the wash but the battery is toast and the brakes are no good so that did not happen but that should be a easy fix. But the little while I spent driving the car it, misses and has no power but when sitting still runs great granted it a touch hard to start. I am very sure it has some boost/vac leaks. And needs a tune up due to it sitting for 5 years with the same gas in it. I am putting the the order today for some tuneup stuff from the Z store along with SS brake lines and some new pads. The l28et is going to be a adventure for me if anyone has some advice on the miss while under load please chime in. Thanks Will S. drive home selfie (while at stop sign) home safe!

    Some times old stock springs sag lower than new lowering springs get you, I had this happen to me before. How long have you had them on? have they had time to settle in?

    Hi I am Will S. and I am a Z addict. you might have seen my other build thread on here http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/116744-rolling-with-the-punches-a-75-280z-v8-refresh/ . But as of today I now have bought a second Z car that I will be fixing up for my dad. Its a 74 260Z with a 82 L28et swap with a auto trans. Its a bit rough But dose run and drive and the price was so right only 1K. And the car already has pansport 15x7 wheels, 225/50/15 tires, St sway bars,Tokico illumina schocks, Tokico lowering springs,and a full Prothane bushing kit and a custom exhaust and 5 layers of paint. It has the makings of being a very fun car with some time and money. So Let get this one started,and did I mention this is my first Z with a L motor so please feel free to drop me any advice on modding A L28ET or any good threads for it. Thanks Will S.

    Welcome to the addiction, its good to see some more Oklahoma people on here. I have seen you car on the OKZCC FB page and can not wait to see it get finished up and out out some of out track days.     Wow did not realize it had been so long since I post. I had a great Christmas did not get any car stuff but I did get a GoPro. And proceeded to buy all the stuff to fix the one down fall of those cool little cams the audio. Shortly after Christmas my GMC Yukon decided that is radiator needed to split the tank and I find this out as i see a huge puddle of coolant under it in the morning as i go to leave for work. But no fear I have a Z in the garage ready to run with the slicks still on it from the last track day. So I jump in it and take off with out a care in the world till I find out that we are going to have a huge thunder storm this after noon and night. So now instead if just buying a new radiator for the GMC ( that is going to take 2 weeks to came in because I have some crazy option package) I am now buying two new tires for the Z and driving the 10 miles on slicks in the rain to get them put on. Needless to say that was a life changing experience, but now i have a very street able Z with some new Falken Ziex ZE329 215/60/15 so far very happy with them. The best part of the whole thing is that i got to spend some time driving the Z witch caused me to fix a few little things like the blower not working and some minor electric issues I had never addressed. So who knew popping a radiator could be a good thing. I have a hit list of a few things I was to do on the Z this year none of then keeping it down for more that a few days my goal this year is to drive my car and make it to all the track days I can. I have also been made a officer in the OKZCC "Oklahoma Z Car Club" and will be handling all the events for the eastern Oklahoma area. So far 2015 is shaping up to be a great year and I hope all of my fellow Hybrid Zers have a great one too. Here are a few pics for Dec and Jan and videos I shot with my GoPro and external mic with wind buster, so let me know what you think of my exhaust note and my bogging issue.

    Had a chance to get the Z dynoed yesterday at Humble Performance http://humbleperformance.com/ great guy there they were having a dyno day to help fund there trip to the national event soon,could not pass up the deal 50 bucks for 2 pulls. So now I know what my Z really puts down to the wheels and I was not disappointing. they run a dynojet dyno and had a great turnout with some killer cars. And now I have a base line to start from. And what do we have here?

    BLOZ UP they were really tight at beginning of the day and after getting the cones killed a few times it slowly got wider after being re set up by multiple people.

    I would love to run at Hallett but the car needs some work before I can get on that track and it is not cheap its over $200.00 to run there while the Sheriffs track is only $25.00. But I will get out there one day.

    Had my first track day on Sunday the 12 of Oct. Its a autocross type track setup and it was a blast. Only bad thing is it was the last one of the year for the OKZCC and the next one is in Feb of 15, but wow I can not wait till next year was a great way to find out about my car and how hard I can push it. And what needs some work over the winter. Here is a vid of my slowest laps of the day while getting some help on my lines by one of the coaches. I was also running a app called trackmaster really cool app tracks you lap times via GPS also speed acceleration= GREEN and braking=RED did 3 sessions of 6 laps and by my last session had found my groove. but I cant wait till next event. All loaded and ready Good turnout 29 cars On the track Loaded up and ready to head home all safe The track lay out for the day along with my acceleration=green and braking=red map Max speed read out Using the data gatherer with the app was able to get my lap times ( off pace lap due to caution on track)

    I made it out to the OKZCC autocross/ track day this weekend with the Z and had a blast! Learned alot about my car and how hard I can push it trans had some issues think it needs a rebuild. The brakes need some better pads and some cooling help. and better tires up front was running my old 215/60/15 that had been on the back of the car. I had killer tires on the back I picked up some kuhmo V710 225/50/15 used for a steal and wow grip for days. Glad I made it out sucks it was the last track day of the year but I hope be next season it will be even better. But I did get to use my new trackmaster app and that is the best $3.99 I have spent on a app got to map the track and see speeds and acceleration, braking and time. RED=braking GREEN=acceleration, The vid is of my slowest run of the day while I got some coaching from one of are instructors took it slow to work on my lines then crushed the next session but my cam only recorded 3 secs of it. but all in all wow that was fun. Also last week I got some more goodies to make the car more safe at the track some TFWorks extended lug studs and muteki lug nuts with the correct seat for my wheels along with a new helmet.

    October is goint to be a buys month. two car shows this weekend a car show and track day next weekend them a car show the next weekend. Sounds like a good month, I have need trying to get the car to make some more power my getting the timing and carb set right with very little success. It bogs on hard low end accelerations but not all the time. I am starting to think the motor need to be pulled and rebuilt stronger with a touch more power. If any one has any ideas on the bog please voice them. Also had a few cars shows two weeks ago and had a few good shots taken of it. Till next time.

    Caffeine&Gasoline is the Tulsa Oklahoma version of Coffee&Cars we had our Sept meet on the 20th and had a small but nice turn out. One of the very talented young local photographers was out and snapped some killer shots of the meet and I thought I would share with my HybridZ family.     Nice run that is were IFO is this weekend I was planning on going but plans have had to change. Great run though! my buddy with a ls 240 with spray will be running there this weekend and I have a feeling he will break something on track.

    Spin Spin Spin got to love old tires. Quick pull ... did not fell right found out I was a touch low on trans juice. Low trans fluid = slow car
