  1. Yeah, I found out that the black one is a sorensen replacement unit.
  2. So you arent running any exhaust of any kind, just strait out the wastegate housing?
  3. Yeah their very similar give or take some of the large holes for the pop off valve and air regulator thing.
  4. Sweet, do post pics as you make progress. Also I dont think thats an l28et manifold. Looks like the stock 280zx engines manifold.
  5. Might try to angle to TB opening a little towards the first few runners. That might help. Id like to try this with one of my manifolds. I tried it last spring with a turbo manifold but didnt get far due to lack of proper tools.
  6. Are you going to enlarge the runners that much to make a difference? One thing to concentrate on is getting more air into the 1st and 2nd runners. They seem to get starved.
  7. Hey, my dad dropped one of mine on the ground and broke the tip, need a replacement. Let me know how many you have. Im not sure if my other ones are ok so I might buy an entire set. Thanks
  8. Alright got some measurements from msa and looked at my car for a minute and it will not fit at all. Garunteed, youd have to take out half of the tranny tunnel to get it in there.
  9. Ditto, pics please. Does this work on all l28ets? Is a hotter/stronger spark the only benefit?
  10. Yeah. Im going to get it running really well maybe turn up the boost some then swap it into my 78.
  11. CRAP!! Any way to modify (cut) the firewall to allow it? I couldnt care less about cutting and hacking on my firewall, I would just want it to fit enough to use it for the time being. The main goal is for it to be in my 78.
  12. So I have my fuel rail off of my 81 turbo and noticed most of my orings to the fuel injectors are shot, so I was looking into new ones... http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/SFC03D I really dont want to pay $2 for a little o ring. Anyone used a more conventional one from say the hardware store or an auto parts store? Did it work ok, any leaks? Also if I do decide to buy from the oring nazis which do I get, small or large? To be more specific these are the orings that push into the intake manifold and seal the tip of the injectors to the manifold. Any help would be much appreciated! Hopefully I dont need to spend $13 for 6 orings....
  13. Any concensus on whether or not it will fit the s130? Ive got alot of my engine bay apart and replacing the downpipe is only a few bolts away.... I dont want to have to take it all apart again just to put a downpipe on. Ill probably just be running the downpipe with a couple feet of tubing to quite it down a little.
  14. Looks awesome! Have you ironed out any of the little problems? Yes boost is addicting, Im figuring that out as well. I actually met if I remember correct your brother in law... hes going to school at SFCC over here in Spokane. He heard me talking to a friend about my Z and showed me your build. If Im not remembering correctly that hes your brother in law, hes into VWs... maybe that narrows it down. Keep up the good work!
  15. $350 is for them to port the stock manifold. Its $700 for the tube intake.... doubles your point.
  16. Another one. Oh, yeah, completely new those were models...........
  17. Well it said VCM so I assumed it didnt VCMificate. Alright, from what Ive found its ok to remove it, just make sure all the new vacume leaks are plugged. Should any of the wires coming off of it be addressed or does just leaving them there to tangle work ok? Thanks
  18. Hey, Im in the process of organizing the engine bay on my 280zxt and there are a couple small "things" attached to the side of the AFM. There are several vacume lines that go into them along with a couple plugs. The Diaphram on them says "VCM". Does that mean vacume control module? What does it do? Thanks
  19. Hold a torch to the oil. Lights it has gas, doesnt your fine... As I asked before, can you check for open lines from the fuel tank?
  20. Looks like you got other problems too... 75-85 isnt very good. Does the tank have open vent lines? Where it can just evaporate fuel all day long.
  21. I like the back. Would the pieces you sell if you get to that point have the opening for the pipe? I think it would look sweet just smoothed out.
  22. Mine smells like weatherstrip adhesive, gas and vinyl... its "distinctive".
  23. Are you sure it wasnt an email he sent you? Check the body of the email you recieved.
