  1. Facts are you hit her, and therefore your at fault. If you hadnt ran wide it wouldnt have happened... its not her fault for not avoiding you. As for her injury, Its hard to know if her "pain" is in fact caused by the accident. There are injuries that take years to come to the surface, but how would you know what it was from? Just a idea, she might have gotten injured and doesnt have health insurance. It was convenient for here to come after you for some $$$.
  2. Cars have attributes/properties that make it seem like it has a "soul". But it doesnt have a soul like herbie.
  3. Nice! I really dont care, but why are you on hybrid z? Just curious... Also what 1/4 times would this put you at?
  4. Mmmmkk... (after burning out the outer bushings and pulling out the little sleeves) I ended up cutting one side of the pin off through the gap between the spindle and control arm outer mounts. Pulled the control arm off, and then hammered it out. Used a couple bolts once the one side of the pin was inside the spindle. Came out with a small sledge hammer. I have new pins on orders so there went $80.
  5. Well your all about 2-3 times my age so your all old... Happy B-Day!
  6. To me a typical ricer is impatient to do things correctly. "My car doesnt look cool... ooh a body kit for cheap, buy it!!!!" Not "Hmmm, I wonder how that would look on my car? What spoilers would accent this? How will this affect the driveablility? Will I have busted up bumpers that look like crap after a few days?" In general it is taking the quickest, easiest, and cheapest route on almost everything even if it sacrifices quality.
  7. Yeah Im still trying to figure out what to do to clean out the inside of the pin bore. Just to make sure everything is smooth going in and possibly coming out down the road..
  8. Well I got back to late last week, with some help from my dad, I have all the suspension off the car. Steering knuckles, all 4 top spring perches, swaybar mounts and front control arms were all cleaned and painted black. Just got the rear control arms and spindles apart, all the shocks and springs are out and ready for new parts. As for new parts, Ive got tie rod ends, tokico springs and struts, bump steer spacers, ball joints, and spindles pins in the mail... Most is coming tomorrow so I can make a little more progress. Everything is looking good, except my finger... (get stiches out monday hopefully)
  9. When you put in your, tokico, illumina, etc, did you reuse the boots? Mine dont look pretty but are intact, and new ones are 30 bucks each. Ive heard it technically voids the warranty on the tokicos but I believe JohnC said he didnt use them. I also like seeing the blue and red together rather then just the red spring and black/brown dust boot. Thanks
  10. When I put down my edead mat I just vacumed and then any parts that had old remnant fuzz from the old carpet padding I took a wire brush, then vacumed and washed with soap and water. Stuck really well with the aid of a hair dryer. (it was still wintery)
  11. Yeah its supposed to be tourqued to 90 lbs. I dont think they make a tourqe pipe wrench..
  12. If you leave the car in the sun for a while it gets better. I could hardly close my doors when I put them on but now its betterish.
  13. Well Im at the point where Im hopefully going to get the spindle pin pressed out of the spindle, I was able to burn out the bushings (and remove inner sleeve) that hold the pin to the control arm, but now Im not sure what to do. The fsm says to just remove the nut from the locking bolt underneath the spindle. I did this and its just the bolt sticking out. Do I need to remove that also or can I go ahead and get it pressed out now? From what I know (other threads Ive been reading regarding this), the pin has a flat section that this bolt presses onto, so wouldnt removing the nut do virtually nothing??? Also, when I get to someone with a press, what should I exactly instruct them to do? What part of the control arm would they use to support itself as they press out the pin? Any help/pics of this would be MUCH appreciated, really dont want a bent control arm... Overall Ive read various things regarding its removal but need some clarification before I go and smash my control arm. Thanks!
  14. Anyone have pics of it in use? Interested to see how it works.
  15. Well while replacing my suspension I came to the part where I needed to remove the gland nut that holds in the original strut in the shock tube. The fsm shows a tool that is like a thin socket. We tried to get the tool from shucks but turned out they didnt have the right tool. So we ended up using a pipe wrench. Worked fine with very little damage to the side of the nut, but looking at the 90 ft lb requirement for putting it back on Id like to get the tool. Anyone know where to get it?
  16. Theres a place near my house that has a huge garage (2 story, 4 cars deep) its about twice the size of the house and is connected to the side. Thats what Im gonna get when I have to buy a house...
  17. Huh?? Also Yasin did you ever have a thread about your manifold? Ive seen a few pictures of it for the last 6 months or so and had meant to ask.
  18. Buy that non egr intake off craigslist and you wont have to worry about most of those holes. The n42 intakes have like 6 or 7 ports that are easily plugged with a bolt.
