  1. Rear end clunk.... most classic Z car problem ever.
  2. The rear end clunk is like the most classic Z car problem ever, along with exhaust fumes. As far as your other problems.....
  3. Are they really that bad, aside from their gnose?
  4. if you're going to do a swap, now is the time. Engine prices have really dropped sine last summer. No idea why though.
  5. A CF and fiberglass mold would be real money, considering the number of Z owners out there who are stuck with cracked dashes and plastic dash covers. So unlike a lot of niche CF parts proposed I think this one has a much broader appeal. I restored my dash, it was in VERY bad shape, one of the worst I've seen, but it still took months of flex bondo and sanding to get it right.
  6. This mod would be so much better if we could get real projector headlights with halo's in them from Dapper Lighting.
  7. Well, I read in there that their smaller and generic parts were fine, just that the G-Nose was awful. Then again, this was also nearly 10 years ago. They quoted me $750 for the G-Nose with a CF airdam. I'll have to think twice about going with them over ZCC despite the price difference. Thanks for the heads up.
  8. I don't know anything about them other than that they have a huge selection, why?
  9. You mean this? Try this.
  10. I'm working a similar mod, I bought the lights for $30. There's 3 wires. - ground - white light - turn light When the turn light gets power it automatically cuts off the white. I haven't bothered to wire it up because I've been focused on my interior, but I plan to mount them where the existing turn signals are. I have LED runners in the headlights to match.
  11. C'est vrai. They're wider, just look at that rear.
  12. I had to read this thread just so I could figure out what a "chumpcar" is..
  13. You guys are going to trip when I get mine put back together
  14. That won't fit, it's 2 inches too wide at the shoulders. 22 inches is tight enough to rub the door when centered.
  15. I just went after it with a grinding wheel, I had to cut off quite a bit at both the top and the bottom.
  16. Ordered the CG seats, not because I wanted a Bride seat in my car, but because I wanted a seat with unique modern styling. I plan on recovering them with red leather, Bride seats are made of a special fabric so it would defeat the purpose if I chopped up real ones. Again, I wasn't after the Bride owners club. Anyway, I'm very nervous that these won't fit. (Too wide at the top) CG Dimensions: Width Outer Shoulder Area: 21 Width Bottom, Widest Point: 21 Width Inner Shoulder Area: 13 Width Inner Lumbar Area: 18 Width Inner Seat Area: 14 Height: 35 However, if the GS fits, these should also fit GS Dimensions: Dimensions: Width Outer Shoulder Area: 22 Width Bottom, Widest Point: 19 Width Inner Shoulder Area: 11 Width Inner Lumbar Area: 10.5 Width Inner Seat Area: 13 Height: 33 Anyone installed the GS seats? Care to comment?
  17. Hopefully the net generation Z won't be as ugly: And will look as good as the concept that got it all hyped up: My reaction when I saw the production version:
  18. This is most excellent. I've been wanting to do something like this with mine but will probably go with LED tailights due to time constraints.
  19. I had this same exact problem and it turned out to be a dead battery. I took the battery to Autozone to have it charged and they said it was bad (it was a NAPA battery). Took it home anyway and put it in the car, cranked right up. I kept thinking it was a problem with my push to start system.
  20. Problem solved: Computer wasn't powered up. I didn't realize the computer had a separate plug for power. You don't need the tach to be installed to start the car. I went ahead and tested that to disclose the myth.
