  1. Is there a sc off of a different car(inline6 bmw for example) that would bolt up to a L6. Hood clearance doesnt matter. i actualy dont want the hood to clear. I want to have the old school look of a carb sticking out the hood.

  3. why would it have to be higher than the hood? Why couldnt it be like the 4bbl manifold where it makes a slight upward slope? i would LOVE to have tripple SUs but i have -400$ rite now and no job. i just need a project.
  4. I woudl love to get tripple SUs but have no money for them. I just need a project for a wedling class im taking. i figured making a better intake for the webbers would be a good project.

I was planing on making a custom intake for my L24 in welding. i know that tuned headers have equal length runners to alow for better scavanging, is the true with intakes aswell? will 6 equal length runners preform better? i plan on making this for the Weber DGV carbs since the manifold that came with them suck. does anyone have the dimensions of the intake flange for the E88 head? that would help since my Z is my daily driver. What thickness should the flange be, and what piping should i use for the runners?

  12. theres a screen in the tank where the fuel is picked up. could be plugged.
  13. Crane cam's xr700 is amazing. i highly recomend it to anyone who still has points. it took me 2 hours to install and troubleshoot it. i hooked the coil up wrong. It works great.
  14. Wow. that is an A++ roadside repair. i snapped the throttle cable in the rain in my old honda once. no cell, no string, 3 miles form home. i used a zip tie to jam the throttle open. Very hard to drive when u are stuck at 1/2 throttle. Good job tho

  18. I dont like the SUs. never have. i drove a 260 w/ a good set and it was ok. but it kept flooding. I had the same problem in my 240 wen i got it. i just pirced a cam and now feel dumb. prolly gonna get a cam and exhaust. ill call a machine shop on tuesday and price head work
  19. i priced cams. well over 300$. i talked to my dad and headwork would be best but he says prolly over 500$
  20. Christmas is just a day away. So i was wondering where my money woud be best spent on my l24. im guessing between 2-300$. im looking ot make some power. where would this money do best?

  22. It looks like Lead was used. Yes if done right lead would hold up. Lead will not allow rust to form underneath it. lead is difficult to do. you can get that same look w/o lead. just build the weld up thick and grind away
