  1. If you want to headquarter it out near me we could be ...... Pocono Region Independent Classic Zs.....PRICZ Just a thought..hehe AL
  2. It was great to meet all of you. A special thanks to the guys for putting this together and for posting some pics. I'm sorry I had to leave early, but family matters prevailed. Dave, My daughter tried reaching me during the day to tell me she made reservations for a little later , to give me more time to hang around. So, I got home with plenty of time to spare. In fact , a little time to take a nap (old people need their naps!(hehe)) Thanks, again! AL
  3. I'm 7 miles north of Scranton, AL
  4. I think NE Pa. needs a representative. I'm free on Saturday and the weather looks good for Toplezz driving! Only about 100 miles from me. Plan on seeing you guys. AL Dave: you seem to be pretty familiar with the area. Would you mind sending me a PM with your cell, in case I get lost (us old people get confused driving(hehe))? AL
  5. Chris: Thanks for the credit. Nice job on the cable, AL
  6. Vin: When I built the car,I designed it ,specifically, not to have a top. I had a 911 Porsche Targa for 17 years and for the last 7 years, that I had it, the top was never on. Besides, my V8 Z has a top (hehe). The only annoyance that i've had , has been the wind buffetting from the rear and hitting me in the back of the head. I made a temporary plexi windscreen that fit behind the seats and that has helped tremendously. In fact, I went to the NJ Z club show in the fall . Temps were in the low 40's in the morning, I had a ski sweater and baseball cap on and was not uncomfortable on a 120 mile trip. Of course, people looked at me like I was nuts! AL
  7. VIN: I'm just a few miles north of Scranton. AL
  8. Dave: Thanks for the pictures and the compliments. There were a lot of beautiful Zs there on Saturday. It really was an honor to be recognized by the other Z owners as Best of Show. Thanks, again. AL
  9. I have one on my 76......Bolts right in! AL
  10. Does a black golf umbrella qualify as a soft top?????(hehe) AL
  11. "....331CI 280z and BARACU and Millsan you guys down?...numbers needed....Thanks" Wife is currently planning a last minute vacation. I probably won't know until next week. BTW...is anyone going to the Syracuse show this Saturday? AL
  12. I'd be interested in taking a ride up from NE Pa., depending on when it is. Weekends seem to be booked up a lot, this year. AL
  13. Is your temperature sensor and temperature gauge accurate? I've had gauges that read more than 20* off. AL
  14. "......wait until fall to drive it when the temp drops out of the HELL range." I find that funny. I'm waiting for the temps to warm up out here , to drive mine! Fortunately, my other Z has an intact top. AL
  15. That looks GREAT! Love the color...but then again, I may be biased!(hehe) Do you have a top for it? AL
  16. I've used flush mounted mirrors on three z's. Two from MSA and one that I made and haven't noticed any appreciable difference in wind noise. But then again, at my age, there's a lot I don't hear. You may want to check that your upper window frame is sealing tight against the body, it's adjustable. AL
  17. According to the wiring diagram, the Yellow goes to the Thermal transmitter and the Green goes to the EGR solenoid on Calif. cars. AL
  18. Pete: It's good to see that everything went well. Good Luck! AL
  19. Chapparal: If it makes you feel better, I just realized that I lied! The tire place mounted my tires. They would have let me do it, but I was afraid of screwing up those rims! But,This will make you feel even worse: Prior to this project, I never welded, did sheet metal fabrication, major body work, paint with SS Urethane, powdercoat or electroplating! I love challenges!(hehe) AL
  20. Sparks is right, they're out of a Mitsubishi Starion. AL
  21. Next time I need a windshield, I'm coming to Michigan! Al
  22. DAVE: If you know any body shops , check with them. They usually know who the better installers are. Some of the guys who normally work for the big glass installers, also "moonlight"! I had some difficulty getting a windshield for the RoadZter. I don't believe Nissan ones are available. Local glass places, where I had gotten the last two, couldn't get me one. Some on-line sources were very expensive, plus freight. I finally got a PPG glass windshield from a local wholesale after market parts place for $135. Send be a PM with your phone number ,I'll call you. maybe I can help you out. AL
