As for me, I choose the RB25 because it was the most cost effective. It comes with a 5 speed and fits well in the S30. The RB26 is an AWD trans and requires the purchase of the RB25 5 speed to fit. In so, the RB25 can be quite costly. Good luck and read up.........

As far as a HybridZ goes, I think they both look pretty cool. Especially RB powered.

I don't know if anyone is making them anymore. The last I knew of was JC Whiney and Arizona Z Car. But they stopped doing fiberglass a long time ago and I'm not sure who they sold these mold to.

I've got one of the old Arizona Z one piece tilt front ends on my 74 260z convertible. It has the shark gills on the side and the early style side skirts. These were orig a race design and did not have headlights. They had covers on them when the molds were made. I've modified mine with the original scoops. Is this what your looking for? I can get you some pics.

I've been using the same pipe wrench to change them for the past 25 years. It has worked every time.

Try Googling used JDM Engines. There are numerous companies all over the US. Also try Nissan RB 25 or RB26 on Ebay.

I just picked up my uncracked S13dash and console at a pick and pull for $35. Not too difficult to pull, but will take some major fabricating. I am also considering the wiring harness. This way I can use the s13 sterring column and switches. I will also be pulling the hvac system to see how much adapt. I am going all out on this 260Z. Complete fiberglass tilt front end (ala Viper), custom convertible. with 2" box tube steel for stiffening, power steering from a Subaru Forester, and an RB25 already installed. Wish me luck.........

Great paint job. I enjoyed watching my son do the paint and body work on his 77 280Z in the high school body shop. He did a beautiful job of shaving drip rails and door handles. Molding the MSA type II body kit into the body, then after two years paint. He had Sikkens donate over $4000 in paint and supplies to his project. The car is painted Dodge Viper yellow, and blindingly bright. The problem now is he didn't think to hard about how much money it would take to put the car back together. His car is still blown apart with this beautiful paint job going to waste sitting on jack stands for two years now. Keep your focus on the completed picture. You'll have a ride you'll remember for the rest of your life. I hope you enjoy it.

Make sure that your EFI power leads at the battery are in good shape and are properly hooked up. It is easy to get the positive and negative lead switched. Also make sure the inline fusable links are good.

I agree that the S30 look great, but after all, this is Hybrid Z isn't it? We have all types of mixed matched parts on this site. Why be a purist on a hybrid site? Anyway I think the guy got his question answered. Cheers!

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Frisco is a bit of a haul to Jerry's All Z Specialties in Fort Worth. There are plenty of qualified body shop between the two. I would try contacting Steve Richardson at Courtesy Nissan for a good referal. You can also look of ZCOT(Zcluboftexas.org), I believe there are some club sponsors on their website. You might wan to also check craigslist, there are a number of people selling z car parts at htis time.

Not true. A Turbo oil pump will work on a non turbo car. Its a straight up bolt on.
