    The only possible problem I see is the exact placement of the tranny in relationship to the tunnel. That will effect where the boot plate holes are vs. the shifter rod. Not a big problem though. I think by oversizing the bolt holes we could deal with any small changes that result from the transmission being out of place. Glad to see the interest. I'll go out to my car later tonight and grab the boot plate to start taking measurements.

    By eyeballing the stock shifter, I would say it's certainly possible. I'm thinking that a 3/8" thick piece of billet that simply bolts into the stock boot plate holes would work fine. The hard part will be getting the position of the gates just right. That is going to make the difference between a clunky gear change and a smooth one.

    I really like the gated shifter idea. Maybe I can start to take some measurements on my 5speed and make a prototype in a few weeks.

    I'll bet you it is one of the thermo sensor connectors. I had the exact same thing happen to me. The problem was totally random, and eventually stranded me. Took a few days of trying absolutely everything before I discovered a short in the thermotime sensor.

    Hey everybody, Last time I took this poll, we ended up producing a short run of exhaust flanges. This time, I'm wondering if there is anything new that ya'll would like to see made? PS. And yes Sparky, I definitely need to mail that rotor back.

    I was so ticked about Coates. I was going to load up at 25 cents, 1 week before it ran to $1.5. But the money didn't settle until it started to run. I got out of COPI before the big dip. 800%, not bad.

    No no, not at all. This stock is paying for my turbo/megasquirt conversion that I've wanted for so long.

    I'm staying far, far away from big boards. Those guys are getting beat up bad! Yeah, most people lose their shirt in the penny market. If you are careful and cautious, but know when to take risks, it can be amazing. I'm all in one stock right now, COPI. I've been adding since it was $.008. It just hit $.072!!! We're hoping to hit a dime by the end of the week and a quarter by the end of the month.

    I've had my car called a Porsche, Maserati (actually by another high school girl), Corvette, and a Jaguar. It comes from mostly young people who are excited to see something apparently exotic.

    I've gotten great responses in Texas. If my window is rolled down, people almost always chat with me at stoplights. Rolling through parking lots get thumbs up from both old and young guys. It's a ton of fun.

    Nevermind. I'll spend the money on a brand new damper. I'll buy a singe groove for now, as the AC won't be needed for months and months. Who sells them?

    Well I've got the engine running nicely now. Just need to clean up all my wires and put the little stuff back together. 2 weeks until I leave for college. That should be enough time to source a new used balancer. Hopefully.
