  6. nice to hear somebody has done it. ive been collecting parts for my conversion for about a year now. so far I have the R200 case, VSLD from an S14 Silvia, the input shafts for the VSLD, new seals, and a set of S14 halfshafts. I just need to get it all together and figure out how to adapt the S14 halfshafts to the 280Z stubs. -S
  7. WTF! Im sorry but I couldnt sit there and finish that...I was starting to have thoughts of suicide ugh...after hearig "its really sweet....it can smoke ANY cop car..." whatever. what he is trying to say is that it can lay a smoke screen of burning oil.....do people like this really have NO clue whatsoever? can they actually truely believe this? have they never left the house in thier entire lives? do they live in the middle of knowhere, where the only other cars are old taurus station wagons? you cant tell me that living in a major metro-area, that this guy has never got his bum handed to him in a race. he's one of those guys that always has an excuse.. "my AC was on" "my clutch was slipping" "I missed a shift" etc etc... wow...thats a lot of rant for just getting out of bed. sorry. -S
  8. Terry, As usual your car is looking incredible, I cannot post enough of these: :hail: :hail: :hail: or these: I like it with and without, I can see it looking really good painted a dark blue or red with the black vents, very cool no matter what. Hopefully someday I will see that car in person, especially after seeing all its transformations.
  9. nice to finally see some progress pictures! its looking really good, going to be a mean looking machine when done. zweet!
  10. man thats a sweet place! its exactly what im looking for here...but this town is void of such things (seems its void of anything cool.) but i digress...
  11. looking really good chris! what kind of numbers are you shooting for?
  12. I have them on my 240ZT, and I second all the comments made above. very helpfull when needed, and a top quality product. they dont try and sell you anything you dont want or need. GC gets two thumbs up, with a BOV woosh!
  13. Mike, drop me a line with a detailed list of things you need. I have an extra hatch lock, but i am not sure if i have the key or not. -S
  14. cant you use that stuff as a release agent when doing composite stuff? A guy at the local composite store told me that but I just couldnt bring myself to believe him. maybe he was right?
  15. Nick that colour is crazy! and it should look killer with the carbon/kevlar stripe! looking good though, most impressive as usual..
  16. There is a real answer to this? I think that if a person were in that situation, they would hardly have the time, or the steady mind to truly analyze it and make the "right" choice. However, there are many things that could come into play. Some would say to stay with door 2 because that’s the first one you picked; therefore, subconsciously you’ve made the right choice. But what if the producers of the show had arranged the prizes in ascending order? That would mean that the donkey would be 2, and the car 3. Also, statistically speaking, don’t most people choose the middle of most things automatically? Having something to do with our brains attraction to proportionate things? That might also make the shows producers put the "joke" prize behind the most likely to be picked doors. Probably wrong, but it feels ooohhhh so right.
  17. cool, thanks for the info. im worried about just having a BS and then getting stuck being a draft monkey...guess i need to talk to some other profs and see what they think thanks again.
  18. Any architects on the board? I was wondering if there are any architects on Hybridz? and if we do have some here, if you could tell me what the market is like for entering architects, and if a masters is required to get anywhere (like my professors seem to think) I am also wondering what other possible career choices one might have with a B.S. in arch. Or even a masters? Also, if somebody wanted to pursue a career in architecture, but could not draw (but could visualize everything and everything) if that would cause problems. Since most drafting is done with CAD programs now, are freehand skills absolutely necessary? Anywho, thanks for entertaining my questions.
  19. http://www.subservientchicken.com/ click me.
  20. the Z in my avatar is a 240Z from the Japanese Cartoon/comic/movie called Wangan Midnight. also known as the Devil Z. a minute google searching and some careful proding on some japanese website will lead you to many pictures and even a few clips.
  21. what did you want to know about that orange car? he is a member of my local Zclub and those pictures are of its first show ever. here are some more pictures from the show: http://resizeme.com/index.cfm?pg=browsealbums&albumid=657 i cannot tell you that much about it, and I dont even know his email adress but I will tell him at the next meeting that he should stop by here and throw down the specs on his car. the only thing i do know is that its a 396, 280Z chassis with custom flairs, subframe connectors and a half cage. anywho...sorry I cannot be of more help.
