Texas Turbo Tom 240 to LS2/T56/Magnacharger build
texis30O replied to texis30O's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
I just got my "ZT-r or Downforce" spoiler from Retro-spec. I am not sure if I want it on the car. I put my zLED Euro lens tail lights on the car as well as my headlight covers. I have had parts laying around for a while so it is about time I put them on. The interior is almost put back together. I have to finish the center console but it is there for now. I am heading to the Anime Mansuri Rice Bowl show tomorrow AM. -

I am an owner of a 3rd part inspection company with 1 employee(me) , and 50% owner of a Custom home building company. The silver is Plasti-dip. I got my set of euro lens, zled full led converted tail lights today, I haven't finished installing them. I did put on my headlight covers. Working to get the center console installed as well. I have some other changes coming for the car soon...... But most of all I need to get smoky burnout videos up of it..... lol. -

I am really happy to see progress. You are really setting the bar high. I will happily purchase one of these when you decide to make a production run. I will just have to build a motor around the head....... I am really interested to see what you come up with for an intake ( I would like to think you would do a ITB option. -

Seems that being a dentist in Alabama ( oxymoron) has gotten to your head. lol. Prison tats.... I am a little more sophisticated than that...... I am juggling family, 2 businesses, and a build on a car so the least important thing has to give ( the car). I would rather spend 3 hours with my girls while they still want to hang with their old man than produce a time slip on a car that will be there when they are "too cool for dad" I am sure you understand. Can I use my Sony HD camera instead? lol. -

I am a ball buster too, we speak the same damn language......... I am planning some test hits this weekend if the weather is still clear. I will have my GoPro with me so Keith can get his dick hard..... lol. It has been raining A LOT here. The ECU for this car is in the front cowl and that is not conducive to a wet scenario. -
There should be plenty of chance to check it out if we all get together once a month with or without the Zs.......

I have a kit going on my car.

I am interested in a pair. Please let me know when/if you decide to make another run of them.

Very well done build. Good attention to detail. You make me want to build another one. Where in up state S.C.?

Will and I put a package together, it is comprised of off the shelf parts that we found. I am using 250lb springs front and rear. Since this car will see the street as well as the track I thought that was a good compromise. I don't have the front sway bar on the car currently as it feels pretty damn stiff with all of the additional bracing. I am about to go pick it up later tonight, It will have the cage in it, harnesses, seats, and the rear strut cross bar (essentially acting as a strut tower brace.) I still have the front to add bracing in and the sway bar for the front is not installed. -

I had no idea that there was that much safety stuff added to the mix. I have given thought of putting my car out there but I think I would blow right past what I am allowed to do with little to no effort (blower and cam). Good luck. I have thought about a carbon driveshaft just in case the steel one shreads. In the end a safer bet although it is a more expensive bet...... Keep at it. We will be watching. -

Wide ZG flares from JPN_garage for now. I have some other stuff in the works. The wheels are a Satin Grey. The whole black wheel thing is played out for me. It is supposed to rain off and on all weekend so that could kill my possibilities of getting out. With my ECU sitting in the cowl area this car will NEVER see a drop or rain......not like it was going to any way. -

Well this really sucks. The weather has been shitty here in Houston for 2-3 weeks now. The humidity has killed the paint job. So all of the detail that we were putting in it is scrapped for a base 1 color paint job for now. I will go back later and do what I intended to do. I am changing the color to a Silver for now. Plasti dip is so cheap and easy to use that I have a feeling I will be changing colors every so often.
