  1. Congrats - Joe (24 years and counting)
  2. Interesting, I'd have to pull mine to check them, but I'm sure they were D-ported. I talked with Buzz at TTC when I ordered them. Maybe they changed manufacturers or something. The only issue I had was I thought the collector was 2.5", but it's actually 2.25". I'm using 2.5" exhaust (dual) for the whole system, so the 2.25" collector should actually give a small venturi effect and help scavenging. Sorry to hear the wrong style headers came in, give them a call and they should straighten it out. Keep us posted, and let them know you're keeping us all posted. - Joe
  3. Hey Pete, Good luck on getting it put in tonight. I have the TTC headers on my LT1 and they clear everything. Good folks to deal with. - Joe
  4. Funny, good to see Borla has a good sense of humor. - Joe
  5. Sound's like there's a dirty contact inside the tach. Try opening the tach and blowing some air in to clear out any dust. If that doesn't work try another tach. - Joe
  6. 23. The ballerina rose gracefully en pointe and extended one slender leg behind her, like a dog at a fire hydrant. What an image. ROTFL - Joe

Those pictures hurt, but, great chance to get a Ferrari drive train - Joe
  8. Just what I need, another "That's a good idea". I'm fighting the deadly "While I'm Here I Might As Well ....." virus, and the I see that tube idea. Great, now I'm thinking "I could put a tube across the car, it would strengthen the frame, act as drive shaft loop, you wouldn't notice it, ........" Thanks a lot - Joe
  9. I used a S&W kit in my 280Z (Soon to be a Velo Rossa Coupe). I customized it a bit and it worked out well. The main hoop drops right into the seatbelt pockets. I cut a plate and welded it into the seatbelt pocket and welded the hoop to the plate. I didn't like where the rear supports ended up (short), so I took the supports made for the door (run from the main hoop to the firewall), cut and notched them so they now go from the main hoop the back of the car. I know. I know, PICTURES. I'll get some over the weekend and finally post some pictures in the gallery. - Joe
  10. The links aren't working for me either. -Joe
  11. I suspect there are a few things happening at the same time. 1- Pulling to the Left - The Left caliper could be sticking closed or the Right caliper could be sticking open. Also if it's still drums on the back, check that they are properly adjusted. If you smelled burning brakes it is possible that one caliper is bad and is not applying enough pressure forcing the other to do the majority of the stopping. If the pads got hot enough to smell they might have been damaged. Cooked pads can cause all kinds of interesting symptoms. Check them and change if necessary. Clean the Proportioning valve. 2- Master Cylinder - Could be bad, did you Bench Bleed it after rebuilding it. 3- Fluid - Change it, it sounds like it's gone bad. Hope that helps, - Joe
  12. Vinh it was a lot of fun, I got to hear it start and run. I'm glad I could help, good for the ego and makes me look smart. I wonder how many times we said "it's a simple system, how can we not get a spark ???!!!". As for the garage, even with all those Zs it STILL looks empty. Guess he needs to get more Zs. We could have a heck of a get together in there, plenty of room (hint, hint, wink, wink, nod, nod). - Joe
  13. That sucks. Did you get a tag number or anything ???? Any witnesses ???? I hope so, that way the police can file a report that will help your claim. - Joe
  14. Get the Hot Rod appraiser and add the $100 to the claim. Don't straighten anything until the appraisal is done. Once the appraisal is finished you can pop the hood if he didn't. It sounds fixable, so get prices for all the parts and labor from a good body shop (or 2 or 3) and use that with the appraisal report. With enough documentation the insurance company will cave. Get lots of photos, get witness statements, get estimates, bury them in documentation. - Joe
  15. We got it figured out, now Vinh has to make a post about "IT LIVES" (add the evil laughter of your choice) It was just as suspected, the Framus was connected to Watzit incorrectly and all the Miracle Gas had leaked out. Fortunately the Muffler Bearing Grease was still good. - Joe
  16. Sorry to see that. Sounds like you've got some good witnesses, that's a BIG plus. - Joe
  17. Hey Vinh, Sounds like I better change my schedule for tomorrow and put you at the top. Darn, I guess that means I have to come over and check out the new inventory . I'll give you a call in the morning and get some info, then I can call my experts and get some ideas on the way over. Stay calm, once it gets started it's going to be one heck of a ride. A full battery is required, if the battery is low the starter pulls all the amperage, so the coil may not get a trigger voltage. A full battery is the first (and simplest) place to start, from there it gets interesting. - Joe
  18. OH Goody, we can talk about him while he's gone ..... Oh wait, we talk about him when he's here anyway. Oh well, have a good trip. - Joe
  19. It's Velo Rossa, and here's a link to John Washington's Web Site Velo Rossa That should be what you're looking for. - Joe
  20. From the sounds of it I'd go with cleaning the injectors first. Don't forget the Cold Start injector. - Joe
  21. I'm in Glenside, Vinzxt is in Philly. PM me your phone number and I'll give you a call.
  22. Larry, you have my deepest sympathy. - Joe
  23. It looks Photoshopped to me. It looks like there's too much room around the engine for it to be real. The engine looks small comapred to the body. - Joe
  24. so it's a QWACKED headlight (couldn't resist) - Joe
