The one point I always get across to people who question gun ownership is the order of the amendments. They always agree that the First Amendment is critical to our freedom. I then ask them how we can defend the First Amendment without the Second. There's a reason for the order. 9/11 has given me a source as an example. If terrorists were to attack the US close to elections the President could suspend elections until thing were deemed safe. He could suspend Congress for their safety and use the military to enforce the suspensions. If the general public were not armed how could they tell the military not to follow the Commander In Chiefs orders. BUT if the general public IS armed they have the ability to enforce the Constitution. The military would have grounds to disobey orders because they would be forced to get in to a shooting battle with the people they are supposed to protect. Since the general public is armed and the Second Amendment is intact we should never have to worry about this scenario. Since we have the ability to revolt we should never have to, if we loose that ability I'm not so sure. I also like to point out that one of the first things the Nazi party did once gaining power in pre-war Germany was to enact gun laws and disarm the public. It was a requirement for the 'social changes' they planned. - Joe

I used Kerosene to remove the undercoating. I did the heat gun / scraper to get the main part off, then put kerosene on a rag, let it soak on the remaining stuff, then just wiped it off. It took a little elbow grease, but it worked well. Just be sure to have good ventilation and to dispose of the rags carefully. Oh, I guess I should mentions, NO SMOKING - Joe

That's what makes this site so great, we focus on the similarities and celebrate the differences. Heavy Z, I don't want to this thread to degrade in to a discussion of whether we should have invaded or not, it's too late for that discussion. What I find most interesting is that if you study the information chronologically you'll find that the stories have have changed over time. People have backpedaled to downplay the threat, people have changed their story to increase the threat, others have changed their story for personal or political reasons. There are intelligence reports that will never see the light of day for any number of reasons, that were provided to the decision makers. Hindsight is always 20/20, the decision to invade must be reviewed based on the information at the time, not what was available later, or what someone said after the fact. Too often these issues are used for political purposes instead of reasons to improve the process, just watch the outcome of the 911 commission, I fear it'll become a political issue, not a procedure failure issue. The UN is a completely different issue that would get a whole new thread started that would probably set the server on fire. I'll stay away from that. Israel is another unique case I'll stay away from for the same reason. But, this is a different subject than this thread was started about. It started out about Paul Johnson Jr., let's get it back to that, the person, not the politics. - Joe

Ok, I held out as long as I could...... 1) As far as Paul Johnson Jr., he unknowingly sacrificed his life for others. Due to his murder the Security Force was able to find and kill his captors and murderers. This will save numerous lives. Pauls' sacrifice will save lives and help curb terrorism in that area. He's a hero. 2) As far as the invasion of Iraq, Saddam was in violation of numerous UN sanctions. He basically thumbed his nose at the rest of the world and told the UN to go screw themselves. He had already proved he would use chemical weapons and had a program for manufacturing those weapons. Since the inspectors were not allowed in, there was no evidence that those programs were shut down. These issues alone were reason for the invasion. 3) As far as politics, we've become a country focused on differences rather than similarities. (Side Note - that's what makes Hybridz so great, we focus on similarities and celebrated differences). Politicians routinely lie about their opponents records and are never called on it. People listen to the media and never do any of their own research. The parties are more focused on keeping power then they are on serving the people (hence the groundswell for term limits). Do you really think a career politician has ANY IDEA what daily life is like?????? If people are going to act like sheep don't complain about the sheep herder. Pick up the phone and call your elected officials, write letters, go to town halls and put them on the spot. TAKE BACK the control of the country. Pres. Bush is getting reviewed by good old 20/20 hindsight, do any of them think they would have done better ?????. Yea Right. Wake up, it's about power, not us. Quit complaining and do something about it. Pull the bulb out and check the socket with a Volt Meter. If you've got power, it's the bulb. You can test the bulb by just putting 12V to the low beam filament. Good luck, hope it's the bulb since wiring can be a real pain. - Joe

Do everything in writing. Send the letters Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation or 1st Class with Return Receipt. If they fail to respond you've got a lot of evidence to withhold your rent. You can take them to court for attempting to collect invalid debts. Make sure they didn't file it against your credit report, if they did take them to court, you could probably get punitive damages. - Joe
