  1. Would just like to add. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series-240z-1972-240z-4by4-lifted-/250636044386?cmd=ViewItem&pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3a5b128862 I know "to each his own", but WHY!!!
  2. of running. It was pretty easy in those 7 days and I felt kinda healthy. Then the pass expired and well it went downhill from there. Once I get my Z drivable and can sell my RSX I'm going to get a gym pass and quit for good since I'll be able to afford it with no car payment. Good luck! Matt
  3. A quick search on THIS forum and you can bring up a template which shows the measurments on mounting them. as far as flat and convex glass what companies sell which glass?
  4. Great, thanks all! At first I wasnt big on fender mounted mirrors on any car, but know they are really growing on me. Since from your opinions they have the same if not better visibility I'm deffinetly gonna get some.
  5. When you say it's not that bad do you mean its not as great as stock, or are you more nuetral? How long did it take you to get adjusted to looking at your fenders vs your door?
  6. This may be true but I dont plan tracking my car at this point in time, I'll be doing autocross events and daily driving so that does not apply to me.
  7. those of you with fender mirrors please chime in and let me know how you like the visibility of your mirrors. I love the look but they just seem to be more form over function, and in something like visibility I perfer function! anyways, let me know how you like your fender mirrors, thanks! Matt
  8. Well I tried contacting the company with no reply after about two weeks. So I went ahead and talked to my upholstry guy seeing if he could install them and he suggested Just making slits in the head rests which will work just fine and be fairly unnoticed. So I think I'll just do that, and it will save me some cash. I'll post some pics once I get the interior done in about a month or more.
  9. What kind of power are you planning on? If you plan on just stock boost for now it is not necissary but it is cheap insurance on your motor.
  10. From what I hear is your are just daily driving the car and dont really care for performance. Get the tokico HP's and springs and some 16x7's with some 205 tires. That will save you some money and meet your needs. The extra cash could go to something else the Z may need. Just my 2 cents. Matt
  11. Is the suspension stock? I'd probably say 10k or so P.S. What size tires does it have on it? They look WIDE!
  12. Well I had a Nissan 5spd that I had taken out and disassembeled and gave up on. I took it to a reputable tranny shop and replacing some internals they charged me about 700. It also has a 1 year warrenty (whenever I install it) but alot depends on what parts need to be replaced. Hope this helps Matt
  13. Wow that's nut but it does look like fun! Someone needs to make a rally prepped Z asap and try this!
  14. Well after 3 long years of me being lazy, partying, moving around, school, and work I finally got my 240z running and driving minus the interior and windshield yesterday After many beers. I was happier then a dog licking himself! Anyways I took a video I'll atempt to load it after work. Just wanted to share. Matt
  15. All it needs is some rota RB-R's and a front mount intercooler and you'd be set! Lol, it's kinda cool?
  16. Well John I was planning on contacting the company selling them to ask the dimensions of the inserts, than go and talk to the guy that is doing my interior to see if they could even be used in the seats before I purchase them. Globerunner513, thanks for the info on the harness's I'll definetly check out what schroth has to offer.
  17. Has anyone heard of these or used these? http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/customseatbelttrimguidesforusewithracingstyleseatbelts.aspx I'm getting my interior redone pretty soon finaly after 3 years. I came across these a while ago and thought they would be a great idea to incorporate to my car. I'll be able to run a 4pt harness (once I get a roll bar) and still use the OE seats. Seems like a cheap solution at $60 since I'm having the seats recovered until I can dish out the cash for some nice Recaros or something. Let me know what you think!
  18. I don't know if this has been mentioned, 3 pages is tomuch to read on an IPhone but IS250, theymake them in stick and if you get one about 3 years old you should be in the 20k zone. And they look pretty good too!
  19. Well I've done more research and some coon flipping and yes I think miata FTW. But I'll be getting a 1.6L not the 1.8L, greddy turbo kit $1,200 and easily upgradable! Something fun I can tinker with.
  20. Ok so I've been doing more lookng around and I think I've found it. A 94-95 mustang with a 5.0 and a stick. Reasons being one can be found for 2-4k fairly easy, parts are dirt cheap, the 5.0 is old technology but they work and are pretty reliable, and they are rediculously easy to work on. One thing I will say is that fords are against everything I stand for since I used to have a 68 camaro but I just hate the way the 3rd and 4th gen camaros steer (which is what I'd be able to afford. Anyways I don't plan on buying a new daily diver till probably end of summer and I'm sure I'll change my mind sevral times between now and then but a mustang seems like a good choice for now. Any feedback is welcome.
  21. looks like a fun project! what size and kind if tires did you mount on those wheels?
