no that thread was quite bad. people calling people names and getting agressive. thats why it was locked.

i have a straight thru 2.5 from the exhaust manifold that has no cat and no resonators. it exits on the driver side as yours does. i got the car with the exhaust exiting the left side. this is what it looked like when i first got it i have changed it many a time since then, but it has always exited out the drivers side. i cant keep myself happy

are you talking about the rubber seals on the underside of the caps being the disks? if so, you should find something rubber and make a new seal and clamp the caps back on. if you dont, brake fluid will spill out of the cap when you make turns since it is not sealed all the way.

my brake lines are old and cracked. i found some new ones in my pile of parts in the garage. problem is that they are about an inch shorter than the ones i need to replace. i am working on the front end of my zx. i want to know if i can use the shorter ones on the front without ripping them out when i turn the wheel or when i hit a bump. thanks guys.

i drive my 280zx in open track events. as long as you have stiff shocks and springs, you will be good to go. the zx kinda sucks because of its luxury status (hahaha) and the suspension was designed for comfort other than performance. I use kyb gas-a-just's and they are very nice.

does that kit alow me to remove my chrome bumpers on my 79?

your post reminds me of this time we let some of the neighborhood kids come swimming with the 15 year old who lives here. i jump in the pool too. after about 15 minutes my ears have heard enough of this cursing. ok i have a little problem. I busted my driver side rear caliper seal on my 79 during a burnout contest. Now, heres what im trying to do. I removed the stock 79 zx calipers to do a rebuild. I checked everywhere and all auto part stores do not stock rebuild kits. i went ahead and took good calipers off an 83 turbo. to my sad realization, the 83 turbo calipers will NOT work at all now as we all know, the turbo has the special halfshalfs. Can i take the control arms off the 83, bolt them on my 79, change the hub, and use these calipers. basically what im trying to find out is if the turbo control arms are same specs as the n/a. im also wondering if the brake lines will screw into one another once i get the 83 in the 79 place. ack! to make is simple, can i use the 83 control arms with the brake lines in my 79 if i change the hub from the cv halfshafts to my r200 halfshafts? whew, thanks

oh hey Dave G, i have a great idea. we can take the intake manifold blower motors that came on the 79-83, clean them up, spray paint them, and sell them as turbo kits. It looks like that marine motor you posted. Ricers will never know better
