  1. picked it up yesterday, complete, very nice inside and out, engine is bad.
  2. yeah, and if I can hijack a little, can I run without a TPS altogether. I have done some searching over on msefi.com and didn't really find the answer I wanted. I don't really want a TPS on my 454 supercharged setup for aesthetic reasons, maybe I'll just put a potentiometer on the pedal assembly. Anyone tried no TPS? Do we have to have it for flood clear?
  3. congrats, I have only seen pics of the car on here, but they look fantastic.
  4. I am letting it expire since it really doesn't fit what I do anymore. it is http://www.twinturbo240z.com not sure how it long it takes before it is available, but it expires on May 7th.
  5. Double poster and asks forbidden questions ha ha, just messin with you I could try some different settings on my talon with 850cc injectors on 2.0L engine, but I drive it everyday so I'm gonna hold off until the celica is going then I will try some experiments. I can't even remember on it if I have all four injectors on one bank or 2 on each?? Its been over a year since the install, I have forgotten just about everything on the setup.
  6. oh, now you did it, how am I suppose to decide between 2000hp big block and 2000hp small block?
  7. huh? Did it originally show under the car or something.
  8. wheels of fire by manowar probably crash if I listened to that stuff everytime I went out to drive.
  9. Yeah, that could be. I wasn't trying to discredit his post, but just make sure I understood the issue.
  10. This is text from the manual, so it looks like the main concern for dropping resistors is increasing opening time because the current is reduced.
  11. Are you the stock injectors you are using low impedance or high impedance? Since it is NA engine I don't want to assume anything. I am just re-iterating this stuff you may know it already: If you use high impedance injectors then follow directions below. If you use low impedance injectors with dropping resistors then follow directions below. If however you are using low impedance with no dropping resistors then follow the procedure in the megamanual to determine the values for PWM% and time threshold. The values you list for those two did not make sense to me, but I have never run in PWM mode, I always disable it according to the quote below because I always use dropping resistors or high impedance injectors.
  12. cygnus, thanks for the update from the manual. It appears that alternating 2 squirts is acceptable. That is what I was using and had put in the sticky so I just wanted to make sure and I wanted someone else to verify since I can't check my own work.
  13. Yeah, it seems like its time to open the MS case and see if power makes it in to the voltage regulator. You'll have to look at the schematics and figure out which pin to probe. The follow back to the DB37 connector and then back across the cable to the relay board. Just have to check everything, I said check not replace
  14. I just scanned that real quick, but everything else aside if you are able to unplug the map sensor and the car runs better then.... Unplugging the map sensor tells the computer the same thing as having full throttle. That means the computer will put in more fuel, so if more fuel makes it run better then you could have low fuel pressure at the rail, bad fuel pump, clogged injectors. Sounds like something with the fuel pump since you were unplugging stuff, measure the voltage at the pump. Maybe you unplugged and plugged a connection to the pump and now it is not making good contact??
  15. Forrest, No one that has actually seen my hack work should reply to this thread Its too bad the car got crashed, but I would have done the same thing in time.
  16. Now I'm lost because I always ran alternating on my L28et. It idled much better with alternating. The installation guide shows to use alternating. I am not saying it is right, but if we can't do it should an update be made? I remember discussions about fuel rail pressure pulsation and injector size trade off, but no one ever said it couldn't be used. What would happen if all the people using my inital values had everything else the same, but used simultaneous instead of alternating? Would that account for everyone saying it is really rich because with alternating I had more of the time used up during opeining and closing so not much gas. But now with simultaneous they spend more time with the injector just open so its rich? Just rambling, but run through the reasoning so I can figure out what makes sense.
  17. Here are the pics of the trigger wheel mounting, also the oil plug and superjection setup. Even though the trigger wheel is smaller than the front supercharger pulley I have a modified escort VR sensor that will fit right down to the trigger wheel. I'll get a couple more pics when that is mounted.
