  1. You guys already beat me to it but the jag rear end is right here. http://www.bryanf.com/510/rsusp.htm
  2. You should get a few more. Don't be greedy.
  3. When I bought my K&N it said it has one of those valves and still when I start the car up I don't have pressure but I get pressure a lot sooner then with my nissan filter I had on there before.
  4. His sister went out to the car that was parked in front of it and assumed that it was me so. who ever was under there probably thought it best to leave. But I do understand your point of checking out cars, it's just got me a bit worried since I had to remove my lug locks and my ignition cut off switch broke
  5. Hmm, I also had the same amount of gas too. No alarm, but how hard is it to wire a switch up to my fuel pump to cut it off. I'm sure there is a thread and Ill search for it when I get home from work. This is puzzling and I'm probably going to buy those gorilla lug locks for my wheels, one of those battery cut off key things too.
  6. Okay so I went to the beach yesterday and left my car at a friends and he sister said that she saw someone under my car but didn't know if it was me or not so she just left it alone. Anyways I did a quick look through under my car, all my brake lines are good, doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the car. and I didn't see a bombs. so what should I look for ?
  7. Okay so what I want is a 2.5" exhaust I've decided on these headers at MSA http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PEC02/15-6017 it says there is a 2.5" adapter available will that be good for performance going from a smaller diameter to a larger one ? I kinda figured it would make no difference since that smaller part is going to be choking it. Does anyone know what the regular size of the header is. Anyways my plan is these headers with a 2.5" pipe to a car sound Cat to a magnaflow strait though muffler.Does that sound like a good combination. it still kinda has to pass smog so I need that cat in there.
  8. On my 1983 280zx N/A On the fuse box theres a label: 15A Fan Blower But there wasn't a fuse so I bought some 15A fuse and put it in but then i noticed there wasn't even outlets(?) for the fuse there so does that so what does that mean. Is Fan blower the injector cooler ? could this be why I've never heard it come on ?
  9. Okay so I went to purchase the bushings from summit and their out of stock till Around 8/3/07 so I guess I should either wait or look somewhere else. What's the prices at black dragon ? I haven't gotten my catalog yet.

    keys

My 83 uses the same key for doors hatch gas and glove box but the glove box will only work with the original key, not copies.
  11. Hey, I don't have the know how to do that but just for future reference, where in IE are you. I'm in Corona.
  12. Alright so I should just inspect the ball joints and tie rod ends for wear and if their okay then i'm good ? Also the bump steer spacers.
  13. Oh Well that answers that. Thanks guys.
  14. Okay, I got the struts/springs in the mail today. They look awesome anyways I think it might have come with bump stops little rubber cones ? and 2 shock boots. so now all I need is a poly bushing set and rubber TC bushings. as for bump steers would these work or are there better alternatives ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-510-280zx-Roll-Center-RCAs-Bump-Steer-Spacers_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ42609QQihZ010QQitemZ200131078629QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW BTW I got my struts.springs from jdmwerks on ebay for 356.00 shipped EDIT: and these ball joints ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-Lower-Ball-Joints-NISSAN-280ZX-MAXIMA-810-77-83-BALL_W0QQitemZ140140090608QQihZ004QQcategoryZ33580QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting EDIT: and these tie rod ends? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-280ZX-280ZXTurbo-Outer-Steering-Tie-Rod-Ends_W0QQitemZ260141676683QQihZ016QQcategoryZ33593QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I was advised to replace those too
  15. It's a 4.0L strait six, would it be a good swap into a Z ? not sure what transmission options there are though. But looks similar to the L even the oil filter is in the same place.
  16. I believe that they keep the pads from rattling, or they keep them in place. But those are the same brakes I have up front on my 83 280zx.
  17. Okay the parts that you are looking at are the 280zx front brakes,a dn the parts he showed are 280zx rear brakes. I couldn't explain in words, so I had to draw a picture but I'm on lunch so I had to hurry, this is there they go. sorry for the Picasso the clips go on top of the pads and kinda wedge into the caliper This is a quick picture i took with my camera phone it sucks, but might be of some help. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v505/snsforums/morebrake.jpg
  18. I don't know if I would call it sand paper more like 3M rough rubber on a sponge and it doesn't fall off the pad either.
  19. No Ducati still uses Desmo, at least on the Supersport 800.
  20. okay pretty much what I do is I go over the top of the hill doing about 35 in 4th and I quickly go to about 60+ MPH at 3000+ RPM still in 4th with no throttle. But that is cool that it doesn't use that much fuel
  21. I do have stock EFI but how is fuel cut after 3500 ? does it just not inject fuel and the vacuum pulls it out or something ? I'm really not worried about the gas thing it's just theres this hill between my house and my grandmas house and it's like 15% grade or something i don't even know if that's the right number but its pretty steep and riding my brakes down it seems pretty scary since it's a long hill.
  22. I always thought that engine braking used more fuel because of higher rpms. But right now I just thought that the engine was spinning faster not because of more fuel but because the wheels are making it spin. sorry if this doesn't make sense or is a completely stupid question. By the way I have a 5-Speed -Nick
