  1. Wow I like those cars. But in that bright orange color. I think their awesome. Is your AWD ? or FWD ?
  2. FYI, SCSi requires a controller and is not that much faster then SATA 3.0
  3. Looks cool I love doing PC mods, and your right on about SATA, much easier to hide the cables. And for harddrive space I got a 320, and a 200 with games, and MS Windows ISOs and TV Recordings every ngiht and I'm no where near filled. not sure how you did that lol.
  4. I used to play CS:S Zombie Mod, one of the best mods in my opinion. But now I play BF2 it's really fun but I would trade video games for a job any day
  5. Well I bught it, 6 bucks can't pass it up. Now theres the rotor which my dad wil help me replace (I'm scared I will break my car) for a couple more bucks But since i put it on, i haven't had my problem, but then again it only shows it's face here and there so I might/might not have gotten it.
  6. I was going to take a picute but all I have is my phone and it's not good enough. SO I was reading here http://www.geocities.com/zgarage2001/engine.html And read this
  7. Oh I can't wait for a job because I got a bunch of money from tacc returns but I don't want to spend it till I have income so I just need that job and Boom and I can hopefully get things going better
  8. Yeah I still got rear speakers to do too, but I think that's after shocks/struts/steering wheel/Muffler lol OH and I need a job too haha
  9. It's like for the floor vent or something to do with the air conditioner but it doesn't seem to have an effect because theres always air blowing down there with it on or off.
  10. Can you throw up some pictures of one. maybe the screws are hidden or something. But maybe if he guys here could see it they could hep ya.
  11. In my 83 280zx theres 4 screws that hold the rear speaker grilles on that you have to remove and then the grill pops off. I'm not sure if you have a 2+2 or not, I can get more pictures lol, but not till tomorrow when i can borrow the camera.
  12. Oh, well I have to find a 280ZX around here somewhere so I can get 2 aluminum lug nuts and a stock aluminum rim (If mine is bent) so if I see one in your color interior I could probably get it for oyu if oyu pay for it and shipping. But I don't know when I'm going is the problem, I don't have a job and no gas lol but i can let you know when I go if you need somthing or other.
  13. Is there anyway you can seal the tiles ? like put some kind of coating over it or something ?
  14. Well another thing you could do is go to a junk yard and get that panel and drill that one this way you will always have the original.
  15. Okay here they are. Front left. That red arrow is pointing to the original orange LED that lit up the original radio I poped it there and one at the same place on the other side and they lightly light up the foot places when the lights are on, pretty cool and keeps you from cutting/unpluging (can't remember which) Front Right. Heres the glove box from the front, high lited in red is everything you need to remove to get the box out (Sorry if I over simplified this, i'm not insulting your inteligence) there might be some more screws next to the hinges but the picture is too dark for me to see. Anyways Highlighted in green is where I put the stock "raise/lower Antenna useless button" I have no idea why you would use that unless your going to drive under a truck or something but that seems to be a good place for it just incase you want to replace the sterio (Which I have done and been able to keep it so the old one will go back in place if you want help with that.) And heres the speaker To take the glove box out fully you have to pop the top panel off, it's got these little pins that snap into the box you just have to bend the top layer inward to get them out. pretty simple hope this helps. EDIT: also in the first glove box picture that wire running down the left side, covering the lower left screw is a RCA -> 3.5mm head phone jack that I ran to plug in a cd/mp3 player or w/e if the head unit doens't allready have one.
  16. The right front speaker was super easy to get to. YOu just have to open the glove box and then the glove box liner has some screws (or little snap hook things) holding in on I believe but once those are out the liner/tray just pops out and its right above that and was real simple. I will take some pictures tonight though. I woudln't dare try to get to the left side though.
  17. Yes that's actually what I was looking for, now I'm not sure if I should put speakers back there or a sub instead. EDIT: Or both if a sub will fit in that position (like in the middle of the speakers)
  18. Okay in my 280ZX what I did was replace the speaker above the glove box and then I placved another similar sized speaker right above your right knee if you were sitting in the driver seat. Now this obviously isn't a good place for a speaker but the only hacking I did was drilling the holes to let the sound out, if you drillthem strait it will look decent. Now this doesn't give you very good options for powerfull speakers as they are pretty small but it's what I did to get decent sound with out hacking up the car. you just kinda got to balance it more to the left a little. I can take pictures if you would like. EDIT: And since you didn't mess with the "Left" front speaker you still have bitching betty.
  19. Well what I have now is some Pioneer or Panasonic 4" (I think) speakers up front, one in the right speaker spot of my 280zx and I left hte center one there and placed the left on above my right knee whne I sit in the driver seat. and in the back holes I have crappy what ever size hole Jensens and if I drive with the windows down I have to put my crappy jensen headunit up to 80 (out of 100) on the volume and it sounds like crap. So I was thinking I would get a new alpine headunit, love those things, and then the apline speakers that fit in there, I don't need it to be super loud just so i can listen to decent music.
  20. Well in my experiance the higher the gear the less acceleration you have so like in my car if I floor it in 5th I don't really go anywhere faster, but if I downshift to 4th and then floor it then i actually start to accelerate.
  21. Well what i was thinking of is like a box that you can put like 2 6x9 skears or something. But then I started thinking I should just get the alpines that fit in the standard rear speaker holes and then build a sub for the back. so yeah maybe some pictures and/or specs would be cool.
  22. That would be awesome! Is it for a 280ZX ? I don't know if the rear is different then the others. I was thinking I would make a model in 3D Studio Max becuase I don't know how to use AUTOcad. but that wouldn't help much.
