Yes it is possible but dont waste your time on the early block. Just buy a complete turbo motor and swap it in. With a couple small upgrades you will surpass those old z32 numbers of yours. As far as steering you in the right direction. My finger is aimed at the search function. Good luck

What is the matter with the summit cells. They are about 200 dollars for the 10 gallon tigwelded aluminum with the foam filling. Why is a 600 dollar cell required. I want to get one for my turbo setup but definatly cant afford 200 dollars. Theyn there are the plastic cells that are also foam filled and a 12 gallon cell is only 103 dollars? Is there something wrong with these type cells?

dont forget the handy dandy search tool. IT will answer alot of your questions especially about wheels. Good luck

Theoretical long rod turbo L-series, L26ET?
ToplessZ replied to Drax240z's topic in Turbo / Supercharger
What about using a head plate to shim up the head. I wouldnt think it would be hard to make. Maybe weld to the block. What about using aluminum with head gasket on each side. I would think it would be easier to do that then all the LD28 conversion mods. Also what would happen if you used an LD28 crank with turbo rods and pistons. Could that be done with say a 2mm headgasket or is that going to cause the pistons to be too tall. I want to hear more options. I really want to run a long rod high revving turbo engine yet still keep it reliable. -
Need more power from current set-up.

why after all those upgrades are you running stock boost!!!!!!! turn it up baby. Get a porsche intercooler such as http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33742&item=7911396677&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW and you could run 15 psi then you should be in the high twelves easily. Unless you have no clue how to shift but I dont think thats a problem. By the way those porsche intercoolers are good to about 400hp. They flow really nice and do a great job. I just bought one for 120.00 -
Any luck jamie?

Does anyone have experience with US Brake components. I was looking at their calipers. I like the price of the f22i caliper but I dont see where it is offered for rear mounting. Can I just use the same calipers as the fronts. I really like the F88i calipers which really look like a good deal. This place has the best prices Ive found on these. http://www.behrents.com/Merchant2/4.19/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=BPW&Category_Code=usb-f22iseries-aluminum-calipers http://www.behrents.com/Merchant2/4.19/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=BPW&Category_Code=usb-f88iseries-calipers What do you guys think. I think they look as good or better than the superlights. Rebuild kits are available and seem to be very well made. Also cheaper than wilwoods

Im pretty sure both the duplicolor and vht paints will work better without primer underneath. They are designed to go over bare metal. Just make sure the surface is scuffed. Ive used both duplicolor wheel paint and the vht caliper paint. Both very similar but the vht seems to be a tougher coating when comparing the two. Ive used both on bare metal with very good results. I used the vht caliper paint on some centercaps and they look good almost a year later. Whats even better though is I used the vht caliper paint on some dirty rusty calipers on my altima. I did a quick once over with brake cleaner and a wire brush then a little mineral spirits and some more wire brushing. They were still a little rusty and dirty but I didnt car. Painted them almost a year ago and they still look like new!!! Best rattle can product Ive ever used.

Go to photo album then click on create or modify album title your album at the top of the screen there will be a place that says upload photos if they are on your computer or on a disk click browse and you can find the name of the file for your pictures. Its really easy I just tried it.

Use vht caliper paint. It is epoxy based paint available in quite a few colors, withstands 900 degrees, looks like wheel paint, goes on nice, and it adheres to about anything really well. I believe autozone carries it now. Its about 8 bucks a can.

Another good (best) rust coating/protection product?!
ToplessZ replied to Tim240z's topic in Non Tech Board
I really want to use the rustgrip coating. If anyone is interested in sharing a gallon of it with me let me know. I wont need a gallon. I will sell whats left to someone after Im done. Getting ready to order it. Its 129 a gallon but Im supposed to be able to get it for 100.00 per gallon. -

check out the q45 throttle body its huge and hould be a close fit. An adapter plate would not be hard and definatly cheaper than 664.00. I love the project. I hope to do something similar someday. -
Termist Wheels, ever hear of them?
ToplessZ replied to a topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Those are Work Wheels termist is the model. Not a bad price. I dont know why I cant get into the mesh look for some reason. I think ccw'swould look cool with a smooth lip and wider center's with their wheels and. My gripe with ccw's is the way the lip is designed. It appears that you are running a smaller wheel than what you actually have. -
NO NO dont lay the glass back It looks bad I saw a silver convertible on the sleek z website and it looks terrible imho. A couple of things. The miata windshield fits perfect with some welding but then you have to do something custom to make the side windows work I say either chop the z glass about 4 inches or make a tray and set the windshield down into the cowl and then remove the 4 inches from the existing frame. The curvature of the glass is good its just too tall. Also I dont like that spoiler at all with the convertible. Love it with the hard top though. Oh yeah and that grey thing needs some paint Love your car man. Make it how you will enjoy it most.

doug did anything have to be done to those dodge 2.2 pistons to fit. were they forged from the factory or custom? what year 2.2? -
For some reason that does not look like cheap solution. Although if you were pushing your engine to its boost limits it may bee a good investment.

wish I could have afforded that Im going to try to make one. If anyone is willing to give up the specs and measurements that would be great.

Anyone want a drop in megasquirt l28ET install?
ToplessZ replied to Forrest's topic in Non Tech Board
Great Im glad to hear I bought from you Bernard. I had talked about having you reprogram a z31 computer for me. I may yet have you do that on my next car. Did you ever get the maf figured out to the point of running the cobra maf. I know we had discussed that. Forrest, are the 82 zxt and 83zxt distributors the same. I believe they are but thought I would ask. I have done alot of reading proceeding buying this unit. So I do know a good bit. However, I have a long way to go. I am going to attempt to splice this into my stock harness for now but am ordering a premade mega squirt harness for 40.00 plus shipping. I am going out to look for parts tommorrow. -
