I tried to email him at the end of the auction. I accidently slept through the end of the auction no response though guess he already had it sold. Damn and I really needed one too.

Well RCNSC this is funny as heck. Im voting for jmortenson

Well someone mentioned z31 vg pistons may have a 10-12 mm higher piston than f54 turbo pistons. Allowing a longer rod. Im going to see if I can verify that. So does anyone know a place to buy performance rings bearings and gaskets where I can get the most for my money. Im sure fel pro gaskets from auto zone are fine. Im more concerned with the bearings and rings. Looks like 150 for a metal headgasket. I still like the short stroke idea. Others are doing it. shouldnt be hard to get 8 to 1 compression out of it. I dont know if I find an ld28 crank for a good price I may buy it. I want to make alot of power on a very low budget. I want a rock solid bottom end to start with that can have many external upgrades in its lifetime. Thanks for the input so far guys

Anyone running eclipse or other 'drop right in' injectors?
ToplessZ replied to a topic in Turbo / Supercharger
Well here's my .02 Im pretty sure that you have to adjust your afm. I dont think its too tricky. Im in a hurry so I dont have time to search for ya but if you or someone finds the link to the thread about adjusting your afm please post it. I just got the 370cc svo injectors but saving for a fuel rail adjustable fpr new fuel pump and a good cleaning before I actually get to install them. -
And what happens to people like me; The average American that holds on to some of the morals this country was founded on? While against tax cuts and increases in government spending. I have a hard time dealing with the education cuts and pro everything attitude of the other side. I have nothing wrong with minority groups and hold a strong democratic view when it comes to gay rights, Gov. spending, and forign policy but I dont believe in abortion or the removal of creationism from schools. I think with one opinion theory or whatever you want to call it the other side should be fairly represented. I dont think schools should be forced to teach one way or the other I believe that darwin, homosexuals, safe sex, abstinence, and religion all deserve their fair mention not exclusion. I guess Im the one that wishes a good third party candidate would have half a chance. Unfortunatly and with much regret it looks like Kerry for me Bush has to go but I wish their was an alternative to kerry for a replacement.... And I dont mean Nader. Seems this is where I was last election....

STI/WRX power steering rack Hummmm
ToplessZ replied to dot's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
I have yet to see the final work on this. What are the exact years and models this peticular rack can be taken from I really want to do this swap. Thanks for the drawings too. -
I think if I were to do this I would go the gas welding route. Either way make sure to get good penetration which is harder when welding on cast. This will prevent cracking. Im interested in the muggy weld stuff myself sounds a little good to be true. Basically looks like a brazing technique but I wish someone else would chime in on that.

Well I didnt think 1200 for the engine kit was bad I have been hearing 6-700 for custom made pistons. And I like the idea of toga bearings and performance piston rings was a nice idea. Heck its hard enough to find generic rebuild parts. My engine has never been torn apart so Im not to woried about miscalulated compression. As to scottie I am hoping to build a high revving rock solid engine that I can throw 20 lbs of boost at easily. This was mentioned in the turbo and supercharger forum not to long ago and someone did this with no intercooler. I would like to optimize what that person did. Please hit me up with other resources you may know about if I can save some money. Im hoping for about 375-400 rwhp with a monster t61 or similar turbo.

Ok Im doing a complete performance rebuild of my turbo l28 Im still considering destroking it with a l24 crank and late l24 rods and running a big turbo. Anyway this is the only place Ive found selling a performance rebuild kit with forged pistons. I do need those. I plan on using a big turbo with a nitrous hit to help spoolup Anyhow please check out this link http://www.importperformanceparts.net/ It has a complete performance rebuild kit with ross forged pistons for 1199.00 Does anyone know of a better cheaper source or substitute?? Please let me know as I am saving up to go this route asap.

Man what can I say but I need to get my a$$ in gear and get that CD I didnt even know it was out. I love Satch! Been rockin out to that stuff for along time started with Not of this Earth I believe then on to Surfin with the Aliens which I had on tape and it was eaten As for tone the Peavey 5150II is pretty sweet as is the jsx head. Depends alot on your style. I played bass in a band a couple years ago and had a TNT 150 amp and I absolutly hated it. As for Carvin their stuff kicks ass guitars and amps. I have their 4x12 cab with their british 100 watt speakers. That thing is so nice and punchy. Had an mts 3200 head with some hotter tubes but I traded it for a mesa boogie dual rectifier solo head plus a few bucks I love that head with the carvin cab. One thing I can say was that carvin amps are way under rated and will blow you out of the water. The clean channel on the mts head Is dearly missed and I wouldn't mind picking up another one someday. I dont know about prs pickups in another guitar but I have yet to play a prs that sounds even as bad as average. Definatly nice guitars there. Hoping to own one soon. As far as the peavey 400 chorus I got one for 100 bucks and sold it 3 weeks later. Speakers in it are not designed for tone and the crunch was horrible IMO. Im too into tube amps I guess. Anyone looking for some budget equipment look into sovtek amps mig 60 and mig 100 setups are awesome. The best jap guitar look for a cort (yeah I know most of them are junk) matt murphey I have one and it is the best backup to my les paul custom I could ever want and its way more versitile. Sorry for rambling Im a gearhead.....guitar and car wise lol

guys need ideas for boost controller and boost timing...
ToplessZ replied to a topic in Turbo / Supercharger
Yeah trust me I know about the bumper ordeal. I the ones off front and back of an 82 280zxt that was very rusty. Had to brake most of the bolts off. The one that didnt break stripped and the washers had to be bent to pull through the holes in the braces. Whats worse is I needed the braces which are welded to the frame!!! Lots of cursing a big gash in the leg etc and I got them off finally. Its sucks. Anyways...I have one of those ebay manual boost controllers. I accidently ordered two of them. ITs the exact same one in the link. 15.00 shipped its yours and I can send it tommorrow. -
Darn in jamie I wanted that hood mold. I was going to see if he would ship it greyhound. Want to sell it to me when your done

What do you think of these Ebay rotors?
ToplessZ replied to zguy95135's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Those rotors are not for a 75-78z 75-78 z cars used solid rotors. They could be drilled but not slotted. Something isnt quite right there -
Id say the kind of power that makes your car move.....LOTS-

no pics????? Aargh -
What about the E88 with porting and larger valves. Joel the guy selling his killer turbo stroker engine has one of those. Ported by rebello. Id like to know why that is such a good idea?
-
not bad for a what was it 427 small block. Interesting combo. Nice looking car too. gotta watch those wheelstands lol
-
any more info 525 is the cheapest ive seen. Would be interested in the brakeaway rate. Mine is going to be mostly street driven with the occasional weekend trip to the strip. Im thinking 75lbs would be good.
-
If you want to wetsand to get rid of the blotches you will have to wetsand through the clear and the blotchiness will be in the base color and not the clear finish then you will need to re clear the car or the paint will be unprotected.
-
Is the car at stock ride height? I think those wheels looks good if they were closer to the fenders. The mirrors have to go bro. Paint looks good I couldnt see the blotchiness. I like silver cars. Mine wants to be silver but all it is is grey primer lol. Sweet car man
-
Well It sure took long enough. J/K those wheels look ultra sharp. Im also interested in what you did for front reinforcement in the radiator area looks like some custom work poking out there.
