  1. because my car is a 280 and its gonna prob be in the 2800 range should I go with the 220's I want a fairly nice ride and I need a light cushion to allow a low profile tire
  2. OK Guys I want to get some 8 inch rear coil over springs and want to know what rate to get. This is a mostly street car with mild racing asperations for now. It is also a 280 so it is heavier. Should I look at 220lb should I go more or less. Would like some input. Thanks guys
  3. My friend has a cutlass I had toyed with that idea I think it would work great.... what do you guys think about the miata windshield I want more details. Do you think it would be structurally sound would the miata top and assembly work and look good. Anyone know whos car this is or more pics. Thanks guys
  4. Ok guys Im almost sold on a set of yz rear flars. Im interested in what you guys think I should go with for front flares that would keep the lines looking good. I dont want the yz fronts but I dont think I can run a 9 inch rim in front with the subtle z flares. Although thats not a must I just want to see what other options I may have. Hit me up with some great ideas guys.
  5. Well I was hoping to get about 400 for the wheels and tires. Yes they have the center caps. The chrome on them isnt perfect but from a foot or two away you cant tell. As for the wheels I polished one of the lips and was hoping to do this all the way around. They are really nice wheels and the tires would be good for quite a bit of use.
  6. they are 14's I dont know how wide because they have tires on them. The rears have 265's which if you ask me is too big for the rim but they look ok on there and seem to be wearing fine. they have bfg ta radials all around that are in good shape. The fronts are 215's Yeah Im gonna need all that stuff. The distributor...does it have a remote coil. I need the smaller style for the tpi camaro's I believe in order to do the lt1 swap even if that is at a later time. I may go ahead and take it and try to find a cheap carb intake setup
  7. So this engine has the late model heads. It would make the lt1 intake swap easier. Less holes to drill. I guess I left out that I need an alternator and starter. Maybe it wouldnt be too hard to install a slightly hopped up cam in that engine before I installed it. Yeah if you find a good 700r4 cheap. Ill take it no big deal there. Right now I dont have any way to transport the engine but Maybe I can save up some more cash and work something out. I have a nice set of panasports that I need to clean up and sell then Ill have the cash for that. Thanks again
  8. Well Looks like I need the radiator and fan for sure. Do you have that 700r4 or is that something you could pick up because I need that. I dunno if I could get that in my trunk or not. I was supposed to buy a shortblock from this lewis maudlin guy for 150 but no responses so I dont know whats up with that. Do you think that short block you were talking about is a good idea? I dont think I can afford the 300 extra right now but I do need an engine and hopefully something reliable. Gonna need a driveshaft was kinda hoping aluminum but Ill take whatever works and is cheap at this point. I was also hoping to do the lt1 intake conversion so I still need parts for that.

  11. I found an entire rear end laying around and I need to know if I can use it. It is a viscous lsd unit. There is a sticker on the back of the differentials rear cover that says B17 than underneath that ins small letters it has two japanese or chinese symbols and the numbers 3645. It has 5 lug rear disk breaks and cv axles. IS there any way to determine what this is I want to use it. 75 bucks for the whole thing. ??? Thanks guys

  18. Well what I have is the ground control coil overs for the fronts that are for the 240's its showing a different part for the 260-280 models. If anyone knows where to get some cheap strut tubes let me know no datsuns sitting around in ohio especially of the 240 variety thanks guys

  20. I have a 280z and have a front set of coil overs I want to run but they are from a 240. Can I just get 240 strut tubes and use them or can they work somehow as is. Thanks guys
  21. well for 180 bucks for a new forged crank I thought it was a good deal. I saw them online when I did a search for 375. They are external balance though is that a bad thing.
  22. Your definatly going to want a 4spd auto with overdrive either a 700r4 or 200r4 if you plan on doing any driving over 65. Looks like a decent start with that combo.
  23. well although cost is an issue Im not planning on cutting corners. Im just buying and doing what I can as I can afford it. Im just hoping it wont take forever. Thanks for the input so far guys.
  24. well the idea is to add one of those to the engine after I build it just maybe a 75 shot....gotta have the polished bottle for looks though thats down the road... its harder to do one of those build it yourself nitrous kits though if your fuel injected which I plan to be. Plus Im a little paranoid about not having the computer controller and the purge valve and that kinda stuff. I really like the venom kit.
