haha pretty cool. Nice numbers though! Really shows the difference between a stock 25 and 26

There have been a few things that have made me consider getting a " hold over turbo upgrade" 1. redid my interior to including guages that require a new downpipe 2. Maf took a dump, and have to get retuned with z32maf on PFC 3. Car is already apart anyway So I have been looking around contemplating things that will tide me over till i can justify spending 10k on a the appropriate turbo upgrade to make the car what I want it to be.... Anyway, I got an idea from another forum, for a turbo to hold me over until i get this power. Goals for now are in the 320-350whp range. The Big16G has the potential to spool around 2500RPMs and carry its way up to 7500 while making a nice usable powerband all the way through. I would use this adapter http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T3-TO-TD05-TURBO-FLANGE-ADAPTOR-350Z-SENTRA-SE-R-ALTIMA_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem35a1e6e6e6QQitemZ230349530854QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories And here is a link to the turbo http://www.maperformance.com/true-mhi-evo-iii-big-16g-turbocharger-dsm.html The downpipe will get remade to fit the new location and housing. Once I sell the stock RB turbo this gives me an additional (and safe) 50whp over stock for roughly 300 bucks. Has anyone tried/used this setup before? -Eric

Purple harness on back of Intake manifold Disconnected?

Ninja edit: -
So As I was redoing my harness for a tuck in my Z I noticed that my motor (mostly stock) w/ exception of greddy IM fmic, atmospheric bov had the purple harness on the back of the mani disconnected. My server is being terrible at the moment but I will try to get a picture up tonight so you have a visual. The car had been running fine up to this point so I am not sure if its necessary--- but i have to assume that it is-- Anyone know? -Eric

Ok heres the story. I have a greddy intake manifold and have been running my autometer sensor on a fitting on my heater hose. As I have been finishing redoing my interior, I will be running stainless lines w/ AN fittings from the block to the heater without any room for a fitting. I also have a PowerFC that is going in during this period of downtime so heres my Q. Does the stock sensor on the manifold go to the ECU thus displaying my water temp on my FC? or does it just go to the stock coolant temp sensor on the dash? AKA- should I retap the manifold for an autometer sender or ditch the guage all together cause the FC will display that info?

What turbos are on there?

Hey guys-- not sure if this is the right section but what the hell. i am going to probably attempt my brake and diff swap this weekend but its my first time--- Not sure if anyone is in the northeast that has experience but would love an extra hand. Let me know... Eric

All interior was removed, sound deadening removed, and sprayed to match the exterior of the car. Pics will probably be up next weekend, but only progress pics-- I need to send out my tach to get recrimped because i f'd up replacing the bulb. I got all HID bulbs from superbrightleds.com for my autometers. They do 360 lighting which makes the even and bright. For now the car is rattle canned on the inside, but next year when I bring it back to paint it, I will resand and spray the inside to match. Looks good though. The Alcantara was 15 dollars a yard from Joann Fabrics. Full writeup will come soon-- I just havent had the time with work--- and its killlllling me--- I love working on it.

Yo necessito. For some reason my guage got very cloudy, and when I tried to clean it-- it got destroyed. -E

Over the past 5 weeks I have beenworking on my interior. Fully fabric dash, shift boot, custom switch plate in change tray and speaker boxes in place of storage boxes all wrapped in alcantara. came out pretty good if you ask me. I am gonna post up in the interior forum when I get it all finished

I picked up a Uego this weekend and am looking to use the sensor not only to monitor my AFRs but in place of my stock sensor as well... At least until I get tuned and rid of that thing all together. I read the directions and it doesnt seem to have an output for the 0-1v narrowband that goes into the harness- But I have heard of people doing this--- Is it a possibility? Further--- I have a Power FC that I will be loading a basemap and a Z32 Maf from now...but I am a total rookie at that type of stuff--So I think I could technically bypass the stock 02 as well.... BUt i dont want to get ahead of myself... -Eric

Other then the fact that those wheels are absolutly disgusting, this is an extremely clean car. I love the guage setup/console/dash. Not to mention the motor is pristine too. But please get some better wheels on there. Its a Z. not a donk'd out 86 chevy

Ya the motor is bone stock--- Ill have to get it in-- I just have never messed with an FC before so I dont want to F anything up
-
Ya the voltage was reading off when we were on the dyno with the FC plugged in. I think it just crapped out on the way home-- which would be my luck...

Well the dull bulbs from my autometers have gotten on my nerves.l I will do a full write up in regard to the changes from the standard bulb to the 220 degree 5 way LEDs in another thread but the longand short of it is....I have 7 autometer guages, one of which is a tach, which doesnt have the standard screw type ballast to easily change the bulb. Can I pop the back open without having to worry about screwing something up? or is there a process to changing these that i am unaware of? Here is the link to the bulbs for those interested http://www.superbrightleds.com/mini-wedge.html They are the wledx5 on the top section. IN Natural white. I was gonna get the 6 way 360 degree bulbs in the third section but for 5 bucks a bulb it just wasnt worth it.

I dont have the power FC in yet to do so. I just wanted to make it to the dyno without having to waste cash on a tow. Hopefully someone will chime in here with a picture so I can attempt to rewire it-- if that is the case. What is weird, is that i drove it home from the dyno fine for about an hour--I stopped at a friends house, then on the way home after shutting it down then turning it back on it started the sputter. My guess is either the maf just crapped out or the ECU just recognized the f'd up wiring. I can also say that when the problem first started happening... if i got the car above 4k it would run just fine.. But then by the time i limped it home it happened across the board.

Can someone do me a favor and take a picture of their maf plug on their RB25det. I need to see the wiring going into the plug. My tuner disassembled my plug, then reassembled it and after driving home from the dyno, the car started sputtering to the point where I could not give it any more then 1/4 throttle. Anything more it would sound like I was pegging the rev limiter, and shoot flames, and felt physically very bad...The only thing that was altered from before going to the dyno to after (only went for baseline pulls) was this wiring. I want to see if maybe one of the wires is switched. On a side note, when we were at the shop, he attempted to tune my Power FC, but the MAF was reading funky voltages and it would have been pointless. I have a z32 maf that I am waiting to wire in I am just not sure if I can drive the car aorund wit hthat Maf on at all without getting tuned. Regardless this is all mainly to have teh car drivable back to the tune so I can make some better, safer power. Thanks in advance, Eric

I like it! I have yet to get my fc tuned... so I am itching to see the extra potential. What rear end you got in there? PS you were shifting hella early

Addressing my RB25DET Fuel Pump & Alternator issues
streeteg replied to rayaapp2's topic in Nissan RB Forum
I will soon have my stocker off in lieu of the quest upgrade---Either do that or lmk if you want my old one. Holds a nice charge w. an optima, but still struggles w/ full stereo, hids, fans, heater, running at once. But thats only at night when its cold out/winter
