  1. Congrats, on the purchase. I look forward to seeing pictures of the build in progress.
  2. Awesome....do they take PayPal?
  3. You are in luck. We are cutting up a beautiful 77 this week. It was a car that supposed to be turned into a 250 GTO but the commissioner of the project failed to make payment so the owner of the company that was building the car gave it to me. It has some cool 15" tires, great motor and 5sp plus an R200. I going to take the wheels and the perfect doors and give the rest to my friend who is stripping it. The car is from Texas and was a $7K car when it was disassembled to be rebodied. The door jams are excellent. I disassembled the car so I could get the fenders, hood and hatch(they are gone). Long story I know, but I want to make a point about the condition of the door jams. The car is a 77 and located here in San Diego.
  4. It was friend...but I got the parts in the end. I also have a clock, I forgot about it. I might have other stuff too...I got to look through the collection.
  5. I got off of my 73 an automatic center console, a brand new in the box automatic shifter, the front bumper brackets and a brand new set of ST lowering springs. When you coming to San Diego to pick them up? I think you sold my friend Zcolonel a bunch of stuff including a purple hood, and doors.
  6. I like dealing Wolfcreek, got a set of halfshafts and a used dry sump from Todd. Great service. John of Beta Motorsports is also great to work with....giving the ol shoutout.
  7. No they are not the same.
  8. A quick search got me this: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=139939&highlight=R200 More in the search just want to get it to you before you start getting beat up by the "why did you not search" police. Please search so we don't have to see someone else take a beating.
  9. How many sets of GTR wheels are on the market? Not many I am sure. My point is it is going to be very difficult selling the wheels or using them on another car because they are rare/unusal. It does not make good sense....if the show up on ebay or craigslist you most likely got your dirt bag crooks. I live in a nice neighborhood but I refuse to let my G35 with Volk Racing gold center GTCs sit out over night for this very reason.
  10. That car is in the Datsun Heritage Museum, saw there on Saturday.
  11. PM sent quote=nohalo2003;1064342]I have a 71 s30. It has an l28 with e88 head, later 280zx 5 speed, not the t-5, brand new centerforce clutch. It has rust issues. Needs a battery, and a slave cylinder. I have the cylinder. I also have a pertonix igniter, that I haven't installed. Car runs great, and speedy. email me if your interested, or if anyone in san diego is interested. It has a damaged hood, and driver side fender, from pushing it into another car. I can explain. I'm thinking $1300, but I'm open to anything.
  12. Well put, it was what I was trying to say but you did it better. The NHRA needs sponsors ask: Hillary Will, Rod Fuller, Melanie Troxel, JR Todd, or Tommy Johnson Jr, they have all be looking for rides (sponsors) all season. Sometimes they get a few race deal but because of the lack of sponsors they can not run all. So it is all about the sponsor's money. Look at the state of the NHRA, it is never live. Tape delayed behing Little League. After watching this weekend I can not wait for Pomona.
  13. The NHRA has been hit real hard by the current change in finance in our current situation in this country. John Force sells, Castrol, Ford, AAA and Brand Source. In order for him to keep those sponsors(the people who pay the bills). People pay to see John Force, he is an NHRA draw as is Ashley. A day that should have been celebrated because the younger Force won Indy was ruined by crying Tony. The system is what it is; the count down to 1 is just the NHRA's scheme to keep people interested late in the year. If the shoe was on the other foot and Tony was racing Cruz, Cruz would have won the same damn way. Everyone things live is so great for John Force; this guy has to work his arse off to keep 4 cars sponsored. I think he would prefer 3 cars like he had in the past prior to taking on Ashley. Speaking of Ashley, that girl earned her win at the U.S. Nationals, she beat everyone she needed to win it all. She has been a consistant qualifer all year. I believe John will stay in the seat as long as Castrol is on board, I believe they want it that way. John Force has earned the right to determine the outcome of that race against Robert on Monday; he got that chance by winning his first round as did Robert. John was in that position because he qualified well. Notice that John Force Racing had 3 out of 4 top spots including Robert's #1 qualifer. Cheating? Please define the word as it pertains to this subject. I can not wait for the finals in Pomona; I will be there.
  14. Just Dashes or a place like it is not cheap at all. You are looking at $800 or more with shipping to them and back to you. This is your better option for repair: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23919&highlight=dash+repair I believe the car that this dash is in was sold to a collector in Virginia who has some real sweet cars.
  15. What did you do man? Those PA chicks???? I know all about it, I grew up in Coopersburg. You might look at repairing it. There is a thread on Classiczcars.com on how to do it. I am at work and can get on Hybridz but not Classic, so I can not forward the link to you. I might be already here on this site too. The other option is if the dash is otherwise good you could send it to Just Dashes or something for repair.
  16. Used? That is about the going rate as long as it is crack free. I had brand new one on Yahoo Japan lined up it went for $900 so $700 would be generous. My guy is hoping more for $500....but reality is what it is.
  17. Sometimes life throws curveballs....projects get put off or cancelled, if that dash is in fact crack free my friend here in San Diego is looking for a crack free Fairlady dash and is willing to pay for it.
  18. If the restoration does not go as planned and a part out is in order: I know a guy that will give you almost double what you paid for the car to get that dash and center console including the fuse cover panel. Let me know.
  19. Darn just sold mine last week and it had only one tiny crack. I will check with the guy I sold it to and see if he wants to move it.
  20. Many times they arrived with Military guys from mainland Japan or Okinawa. You used to see more of them near military bases, that was back before they were classics. It is a great find, I agree that before you start dropping $$$, check all the usual rust areas, something tells me that there is more rust to combat.
  21. Lizard Skin? I am going with that for our Resto-Mod.
  22. I am going by the shop today....I will prod him about that stuff. Tom is really a good guy, this economy has really hit him hard, I don't know how he does it.
  23. That was sweet Z and a great race, both cars had great reaction times. I think the Z lost to a Vega coupe. Did you see the late model GTO backfire the NOS causing the hood to be shot off? That was awesome. For those missing the Pritchett brothers check out this link: http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=152178
