  1. Has anyone ever ran a MR setup on a Z?
  2. This one has a 6.5 liter engine. crazy. I was thinking about maybe dropping one of the transaxle tranny's in my z and putting the engine in like the pantera. Right behind you. oh yeah....
  3. This is pretty much my favorite car......the De Tomaso Pantera. This thing is pure sex. If my Z sounded like that, I don't know if I could ever get out! http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=qCwBYGQ1Clo&feature=related PS - Might want to turn the volume up, It's quiet.
  4. Did you try checking the BIOS on startup? Make sure it is starting in order and everything is being recognized.
  5. I saw it in the new posts also. Oh well! haha
  6. Mine is #1542. Muahaha, I win. Really though, nice find. I got my '70 for 200 from a friends neighbor. It's got it's problems though..... For the price, the Z with the suspension mods is a great deal. The mods alone easily make up for the 1000 difference between it and the 1970.
  7. While I was at it, I chopped and lowered my Porsche 944. hahaha
  8. Here's a quick photoshop. I chopped the top a bit and then did a crappy fender blend. haha. This is all after the tailights have been moved as you can see. SO? Personally I like the way It would turn out.
  9. Possibly yes. It would bring the top down towards the fenders and resemble the mura even more. It would be easier to blend also. Just a thought
  10. Another thing you must notice on the Mura is that it doesn't look like a small body with large flares. When I look at the Z with the work done, the middle looks too narrow. Too much of an angle between the tops of the fenders and the pillar. To boxy looking. Notice how the Mura's fenders flow into the car. The Styling of the Mura is appealing because it is wide, but it pulls this off by making all of it's lines smooth. If you chopped the top, it would look pretty cool. It would make the car look wider and lower. Another option is to just make the fenders flow into the top more. All of this is just my opinion.
  11. ummm.......what about the Cien with 750 BHP and 450 ft/lbs of torque? The Cien is the companies exotic/supercar afterall....
  12. I was definately getting into the story. You got me big time. When you said the lights hit the Z and I saw something, I was like, "how could you see into his car if the lights were shining into your face?" hahaha
  13. Roll on the Rustoleum! Takes a bit more time, but it's cheap has a NICE gloss to it and it lasts for years. check this out! At the bottom it has links to pics of the car 4 months, 8 months and a year after it was painted.
  14. The guy at the end that was like "Papa!" haha
  15. The red car looks a bit like a Pantera a bit too. One of my favorite cars.
  16. hahaha. Yes, another Z. Don't worry I'm not giving up on my Z mission. I'm just looking to get one in a little better condition. I had someone that's going to come take a look at it as soon as I get it home from the shop. He may pay 700-1000.
  17. I'll sell it for 700 if your friend is interested. Just kinda want it gone for now. I'm trying to buy the yellow one in Boise for sale right now. I'm also selling my 89 Porsche 944. Great condition. Upgraded speaker system with ipod and XM sattelite.
  18. Is this a good thing? I want an engine that is capable of high power, but still fairly reliable. I know this one has been rebuilt but maybe I'm getting in over my head. I do need a wiring harness, the ECU, and some other parts from a 280zx turbo, so maybe I should just look for a complete donor car.
  19. That's what I thought. It meant it was in good shape. Maybe I'm wrong. He said basically all of the parts on the block were new. It was rebuilt when it was bored out, but that was a while ago so I'm wondering.
  20. Like I said, I listed it high. I'd like to get close to 1k, but I know even that may be high. It is however a VERY low production number and a 1970 with hardly any rust is hard to come by.
  21. haha. I know it doesn't have much info. I was just wondering if this price seems reasonable and if the setup would be fairly strong. I'm fairly new to the L28et. I currently have an L26 in my 240z. All of my knowledge of the engines has come from a lot of searching on these forums
  22. He has the P90 head for sale separately but I'm sure I can get a deal on it if I buy it both. Here's a link to the P90 ad: http://boise.craigslist.org/pts/611250271.html He says the engine and head worked fine when he took them out and it was completely rebuilt when he had it bored out and the other work done. With the block and the head I should have a running engine once installed right?
  23. I found this 280zx turbo engine for sale. I have been looking for one for my 240z for a while. I was wondering if this looks like a good deal to you guys. I am going to need a 280zx harness so would it be better to just wait and buy an entire donor car? Here's a link: http://boise.craigslist.org/pts/611256567.html Any help would be appreciated. I don't know all too much about bored out turbo engines. Thanks, Amren
  24. Shortening the top will do the same as elongating the bottom. If the top is shorter than the bottom then it has to travel a shorter distance to make the bottom travel farther.
