  1. Thanks for that tip. I'm actually going to go sit in some different seats today or tomorrow. Problem I'm running into is finding a good seat with the anti-submarine hole in it for a decent price. I got a barely used Sparco Corsa in black with the side mounts & sliders for $100! I don't want to spend $800+ to get a matching corsa though. OG which is a pretty big supplier of race seats is just down the street from me and they have a showroom so you can test stuff out.
  2. I am with cygnusx1, I've always ran ATE superblue/yellow. I used it on my 350Z for daily driving and for track days, also on my Integra GSR which had HUGE brakes before that with no issues. We also used it on my friend's '72 Z with stock brake setup & just Hawk blue pads and it was fine with that car on the track also. ATE is relatively cheap and being able to see a different color fluid coming through when bleeding truly is helpful. I bought a motive power bleeder and that thing is awesome for bleeding fluids.
  3. They do shipping, I wouldn't be able to save you any money b/c I have to pay tax and they probably get a shipping discount, which I dont.
  4. The sparco sprint 5's are only $299 and weigh 18.7 lbs. you get a real FIA brand name seat. Not something you don't know the quality of. http://www.ogracing.com has them and I think they do free shipping for over $100.
  5. I plan on running electric. http://www.vsracing.net/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=48&products_id=342 It is a 16" fan that flows 3000CFM for $80. The Flex-a-lite black magic is $225 more and only flows 300CFM more...so almost $1 per CFM more. I know you get what you pay for sometimes but this is an electric fan. The cheap one could be replaced 3 times for me to equal the cost of a flex-a-lite. I got this link from a guy that is selling these slimline fans for group buy prices on honda-tech.com, he also has 9", 10", 12", & 14" http://www.hondamarketplace.com/zerothread?id=2034400&page=12
  6. Looks good! What size piping are you using? Aluminum or steel?
  7. If any of you are planning on getting the Prosport gauges (I know I am now) here is a shop that is local to me: http://www.machv.com/prosportgauges.html They offer a 10 percent discount on your order of prosport gauges if you order 3 or more. http://www.machv.com/prgacopa.html I worked it out for the 4 gauges I'm getting (premium boost, premium oil pressure, premium water temp, 52mm oil temp) and it actually worked out cheaper than from the prosport website and I even have to pay tax since I am in state. Just another option. I'm going to pick up some of the gauges in person this or next week, I'll post some pretty pictures when I do. They are a pretty well known Subuaru/DSM shop in the DC area and are pretty trustworthy from what I understand. My roommate has a WRX and swears by them.
  8. What a waste. I sent a 280ZX to the scrap yard but it had been sitting in a field for 3 years with no windshield and was rusty as hell. I didn't feel bad about that, but I'd feel terrible sending a car like the one in the video for scrap.
  9. I am trying to get him to pay me for two auctions he won of mine on Ebay. After reading this thread, I'm not exactly excited that he won my auctions.
  10. Looks great! Anymore pictures you could share?
  11. I bought a set of the Bad Dog jack plates when I ordered my subframe connectors but I haven't put them on the car yet. I can tell you that they are pretty beefy and seem up to the task as long as they are welded to the car correctly...but even that I'm not sure exactly how to do since there are no instructions or anything.
  12. Its a shame its not 3". If it was I'd buy one and just knock the flange off to put a new flange on it that would fit my turbo and probably have it coated.
  13. Ironically where my project car is stored/worked on is at a townhouse complex. We grind/weld on it in the garage there and all his neighbors know about it and while I've been there had never seemed to bat an eye that it was abnormal or dangerous.
  14. The d*ckless man who did that should be killed. No trial, no jury...straight to execution. You don't mess with another man's automobile.
  15. Have you or anyone you know used them? I'd never heard of them but the gauges look great and are the right price. I think i'll probably have to try some out.
  16. In high school we had an electric vehicle project we raced against other schools, ours was a ford ranger pickup that was donated to us and we used a starter motor from a jet engine, but our setup was more or less very similar to what you have...12 odyssey batteries, DC, etc. Very, very cool that you are doing this.
  17. I have a set of the aluminum bolt-on louvers for the rear glass that I just stripped and refinished for an S130 if anyone is interested in it.
  18. I've used www.injector-rehab.com before and they've been good. If you are a member of Honda-Tech you can get a discount so each injector costs only $12.50 each.
  19. This is a local guy that has a crazy show 350Z with cherry blossom work on it:
  20. I love the look of most rat rods. Don't forget to incorporate a beer tap shifter and some brass knuckles somewhere You may also want to get a moon eyes sticker, haha.

    T-5 differences?

I'm not entirely sure of all the minor details, however I am sure that you do need the bellhousing from the T-5 that came with the 82-83 ZX's.
  22. Looks like it may be a worthwhile subscription. For $9.99 why not, I subscribed. Hope it comes soon.
