  1. Thanks for all the input guys, I appreciate any and all of it. The only reason we made it the length it is was because we drew our inspiration from real infomercials (I probably watched at least 50 of 'em) and the average infomercial is 2 mins. I totally agree that short and to the point is usually better for the internet's attention span though. Vocal work more like Aykroyd or Billy Mays huh? Well, I do have a beard right now, and I'm pretty sure I could roll up the sleeves on a blue collared shirt.... hmmm....
  2. The company I work for shot this as a promo for an iPhone app we developed. It lets you pull faces. Please don't feel pressured to buy our app or anything, I just want some opinions on the video. The Funky Faceâ„¢ Infomercial: This is a sort of online / viral marketing 101 for our small group. Seeing as we're only a few guys it is a bit tricky finding people who will be honest with critiques (family and close friends don't like to point out flaws in what you work on). If you like it, think it stinks, think it's confusing, find it doesn't explain anything well enough, or find it funny then let me know. Of course, by all means feel free to share the video if you're into that sort of thing.
  3. I found the answer for your question by typing "l28 forged rods" into the search box and reading the results.
  4. Have you read through these instructions and studied the wiring diagrams here? http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/distributor/index.html
  5. Another YouTube video with a promising outlook on plasma rocket technology: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdZ-idbRz_8&feature=player_embedded
  6. Some states titled vehicles for the year they sold rather than the model year they were manufactured for. It could have been originally sold and titled in another state and then brought to California. Just a possibility.
  7. I found this gem at the local thrift store. What kid wouldn't want that based on the cover art alone? I was very tempted to buy it as it seemed very complete, but the cars were missing. Now I'm thinking of just buying it for the track to have a more complete set of pieces to go with the ones from my childhood.
  8. I'd vote Series 1 too. That swiss cheese rear deck would be very hard to duplicate.
  9. It was an excruciatingly slow and painful process, piecing yourself back together flake by flake, but Frosty's mind was a glacially rumbling torrent filled with pain and anguish. If he hadn't seen little Karen light the flame-thrower himself Frosy wouldn't have believed an 8 year old capable of such treachery. None of that mattered to him now. The images that filled Frosty's mind as his body rose reluctantly from the snow drift were becoming more focused, converging with ice crystal precision on excessive pain, vast anguish and now revenge.

Yes, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is really Forrest Gump: http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1897317
  11. He did a good job. Here's the original: I found his deviantART account: http://active-design.deviantart.com/art/Nissan-370Z-107413399 Man, I love this TinEye plugin for Firefox.
  12. Okay, I admit that you can clean up dirt and most good with a stiff bristled nylon brush. I cleaned the entire outside of a head with only a rounded flat bladed screwdriver, some engine degreaser and a nylon brush. If you're really on a budged it's amazing how creative you can get:) That stiff carbon buildup is a different beast though. I've removed carbon buildup from inside a combustion chamber by hand and even a steel bristled brush has a difficult time getting rid of that stuff.
  13. Small steel brush and some good cleaner. I'm not sure how intense this carbon buildup is, but a little steel bristled brush with a long handle can probably go a long way toward getting that gunk out of there. I really doubt a nylon bristled toothbrush is going to help much on this particular material.

    Avatar 3D?

It's definitely a game changer and a milestone in cinematic history, much like Jurassic Park or Star Wars. I enjoyed it, but the talker next to me kept pulling my conscious out of the universe Cameron had created and it was really bugging me.

Dances With Wolves + Fern Gully + The Last Samurai + District 9 + Dune + others. Face it, you've seen this story many many times before, but you haven't seen visuals like this until you see it in 3D on a big screen.
  16. They are out there. I believe one well kept example was for sale last year. I seem to remember a thread on some Z forum with members commenting on how expensive the asking price seemed. You also might want to contact this guy. I think he has a few: http://nyzcc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=405 Please tell me this is a joke.
  17. One of the first shots taken with my new Sony DSLR. Unedited RAW goodness.
  18. Are you sure about that L20A rod length PandaZ? The early L20A uses 78mm diameter pistons with a piston pin height of 40.1mm and a stroke of 69.7mm from what I've researched. With 128 mm long rods that L20A piston would be down the bore 4.9mm at TDC. That'd give about a 6:1 compression ratio. 128mm rod = 202.95mm installed piston height 133mm rod = 207.95mm installed piston height Deck Height = 207.85mm Plus, the FSM states that the connecting rod center distance is from 132.94 mm to 133.08 mm. Some of your other figures seem to be right on though I don't agree with the L24/L16 rod measurement either. It's the same length as the early L20A rod in the FSM as well as any other reference source.
  19. Occasionally they are handy, but most of the time the vehicle in question is covered better in another resource. I too was recently thinking of buying a Haynes manual. It's the one for the Apollo Lunar Module. After reading reviews on their "manual", turns out it doesn't actually contain any technical diagnoses instructions, troubleshooting charts or service procedures. Now how am I going to land this thing on the lunar surface?
  20. Different vehicle. I went from the SBC / 700 combo to the 454 / 4L80 in my Suburban. You might be able to use the same mount, but I'm not sure the isolator will leave it at the correct height.
  21. I think you'll be fabricating your own. I've swapped from a TH700R4 to a 4L80E in another vehicle and had to custom fabricate my own tranny mount with the 4L80 isolator.
  22. I've used SEM products with good results as well. Just make sure the panels are cleaned and prepped properly.

Not bad, but I think this one is a very serious contender.
